24: Chapter 24 The First Business Deal

Lin Fan waved his hand, just about to speak, when Xu Ziyan's phone suddenly rang.

He took it out, took a look, and his eyes lit up.

"Lin Fan! Someone's looking for us!"

Lin Fan leaned over to look.

On the screen was a message; the sender was noted as "Yuwei."

"Xu Ziyan, I heard you opened an Armor Spirit Breeder shop? My family's Armor Spirit has been acting a bit strange lately. Can you help me take a look?"

Lin Fan looked at Xu Ziyan. "Who is this?"

Xu Ziyan chuckled.

"A family friend. We grew up together. Her name is Lin Yuwei. She's a sophomore in high school this year and also attends No. 1 High School."

"What's wrong with her family's Armor Spirit?"

"I don't know. She said it's acting strange, but didn't give details."

Xu Ziyan shook his phone.

"Should I tell her to come over? Our shop is open for business anyway."

Lin Fan nodded. "Sure, tell her to come over."

Xu Ziyan quickly replied to the message.

Half an hour later, the shop door was pushed open.

A girl with a high ponytail walked in.

She was wearing a white shirt and a plaid skirt, carrying a light blue backpack. She had delicate features and large, round eyes that made her look quite likable.

As soon as she entered, her gaze landed on Xu Ziyan.

"Xu Ziyan, you actually opened this shop?"

Xu Ziyan chuckled. "I didn't open it; he did." He pointed at Lin Fan. "My business partner, Lin Fan. He handled everything for this shop; I'm just the one who put up the money."

Lin Yuwei looked at Lin Fan, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

"You're Lin Fan? I've heard Xu Ziyan mention you."

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow. "What did he say about me?"

Lin Yuwei thought for a moment. "He said you were amazing, that you defeated someone with five Armor Apertures while having only two, passed the Elementary Breeder exam, and were taken as a disciple by the Association President."

She paused. "I thought he was bragging at the time."

Lin Fan laughed. "He wasn't bragging; it's all true."

Lin Yuwei stared at him for a few seconds, then smiled. "Alright, I won't waste any more time. My family's Armor Spirit has a problem. Can you help me take a look?"

Lin Fan nodded. "Did you bring the Armor Spirit?"

A flash of white light passed through Lin Yuwei's right eye.

A bird the size of a palm landed on the counter. It was snow-white all over, with only a tuft of light golden down on its head.

It was curled up, its eyes half-closed, looking very listless.

Lin Fan stepped closer, his left eye warming slightly. Lines of small text appeared.

【Race】: Lightfeather Sparrow

【Aptitude】: Profound Spirit Medium (Upper Limit: Earth Spirit High)

【Rank】: 24

【Attribute】: Light

【Can Armorize】: Eye

【Armorization Skills】: Beam Impact (Fires a high-energy beam from the eyes), Light Shield (Forms a Light-attribute shield on the body surface), Flash Blind (Releases a strong light to blind opponents)

【Current Status】: Spiritual power accumulation in the body, incomplete absorption of evolution Materials, leading to slight blockage of the Meridians. Listless mental state, decreased appetite, has not eaten normally for three days.

【Standard Evolution Route】: Can evolve into a Lightwing Sparrow (Earth Spirit Medium) at Rank 25. Requires consuming Morning Sun Dew ×3, Radiant Stone ×1, Dawn Petals ×5.

【Hidden Evolution Route】: If the Meridians are cleared and the state is regulated first, then consuming Moonlight Dew ×2 and Starlight Stone Fragments ×3 allows evolution into a Moonlight Sparrow (Earth Spirit High). This route requires guidance at night; the success rate depends on the Breeder's keen eye.

After reading through, Lin Fan had an idea of the situation.

A Rank 24 Lightfeather Sparrow, Profound Spirit Medium—this was already a quite impressive Armor Spirit.

An Armor Spirit's Rank is linked to its master's cultivation level.

The fact that Lin Yuwei could raise a Lightfeather Sparrow to Rank 24 meant that she herself was at least an Armor Master of Rank 20 or higher.

A high school sophomore, an Armor Master in her twenties—this girl's talent was much higher than he had imagined.

Moreover, this was only one of her Armor Spirits; at the Armor Master realm, one can contract two Armor Spirits.

Lin Fan withdrew his gaze and looked at Lin Yuwei.

"Your Lightfeather Sparrow doesn't have a major problem."

Lin Yuwei's eyes lit up. "Really? Then what's wrong with it?"

Lin Fan pointed to the curled-up Lightfeather Sparrow on the counter. "Has it eaten anything glowing recently? Like evolution Materials such as a Radiant Stone?"

Lin Yuwei was stunned for a moment, then nodded. "Yes! Last week, I fed it a small piece of Radiant Stone, thinking I'd let it adapt early so it could evolve directly at Rank 25. But after eating it, it started acting strange; it's been listless and hasn't been eating."

Lin Fan nodded. "Radiant Stone is good stuff, but you fed it too early."

He paused. "It's currently Rank 24, not yet time to evolve. The energy of the Radiant Stone is too strong; it couldn't absorb it all, so it accumulated in the Meridians, causing a blockage."

Lin Yuwei frowned. "Then what should I do?"

Lin Fan nodded. "It's manageable. But it requires some methods."

He took out a small box from behind the counter and opened it. Inside was a pale golden crystal, the size of a thumb, emitting a soft light.

"A Light-attribute Spirit Crystal. My master gave it to me."

He picked up the Spirit Crystal and weighed it in his hand. "This thing stores pure Light-attribute energy and can be used to guide the clearing of an Armor Spirit's Meridians. Although it's expensive, it's effective."

Lin Yuwei looked at the Spirit Crystal, her eyes lighting up. "Then... can you help me?"

Lin Fan nodded. "I can. But I have to charge."

Lin Yuwei was stunned for a moment, then smiled. "How much?"

Lin Fan thought for a moment. "Clearing the Meridians counts as one treatment. Materials fees are separate. In your case, altogether..." He held up five fingers. "Fifty thousand."

Lin Yuwei blinked. "Fifty thousand? So cheap?"

Lin Fan almost choked on his own breath. Cheap? Fifty thousand is called cheap?

He looked at Lin Yuwei's designer clothes and remembered that she and Xu Ziyan were family friends. He suddenly understood. This girl's family wasn't short on money either.

He cleared his throat, keeping a straight face. "Grand opening special, I'm giving you a discount."

Lin Yuwei smiled. "Fine, fifty thousand it is. Once it's cured, I'll transfer it to you immediately."

Lin Fan nodded, picked up the Light-attribute Spirit Crystal, and walked over to the Lightfeather Sparrow.

He crouched down, his left eye warming slightly, and stared at the location of the spiritual power accumulation inside the Lightfeather Sparrow.

【Accumulation Points: Three locations, respectively at the base of the left wing, the center of the back, and the base of the tail feathers.】

【Clearing Method: Inject Light-attribute energy from the beak, and sequentially impact the three accumulation points along the Meridians. Each impact lasts for three seconds, with a five-second interval.】

【Note: The impact force must be moderate; too light will be ineffective, and too heavy will damage the Meridians.】

Lin Fan took a deep breath, held the Spirit Crystal in his left hand, and gently lifted the Lightfeather Sparrow with his right hand.

Spiritual power flowed slowly from the Spirit Crystal, following his fingers, and injected into the Lightfeather Sparrow's beak.

The Lightfeather Sparrow shuddered, its eyes opening slightly.

Lin Fan didn't stop, continuing to channel the energy.

Three seconds later, the first accumulation point loosened.

He injected again. The second accumulation point began to dissipate. Five-second interval. Third injection. The third accumulation point completely dissolved.

Lin Fan withdrew his hand and gently placed the Lightfeather Sparrow back on the counter.

The Lightfeather Sparrow stood on the counter, shook its feathers, and suddenly opened its beak, letting out a crisp chirp. "Chirp!!"

It flapped its wings, hopped twice on the counter, and its spirit was obviously much better.

Lin Yuwei's eyes widened. "It's... it's cured?"
