221: Chapter 221 S-Class Alloy Trap

"This... is this star alloy?"

Beside him, Thunder Fiend sucked in a breath of cold air, his voice becoming sharp and piercing.

"Impossible!"

"This kind of S-grade strategic material is something even the Military Department only uses sparingly when constructing core fortresses."

"How could that little animal Lin Fan use it to build a warehouse door?!"

Thunder Fiend was practically going insane.

This was like someone using gold to pave the floor of a toilet; it was an utterly insane act of squandering wealth.

"Zzzzt..."

Just then, Lin Fan's punchable voice came through the broadcast speakers around the warehouse once again.

"Oh my, this elder has quite the sharp eye."

"That's right, this is star alloy."

"To get my hands on this material, I melted down all those scrap mechas I salvaged from the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield a while back."

"So? Are you satisfied with the hardness?"

Wind Fiend snapped his head up, his gaze scanning the surroundings like lightning, trying to locate the cameras.

"Lin Fan!"

"Don't get cocky!"

"So what if you've trapped us?"

"We are Late-stage Grandmaster powerhouses! If we want to leave, these mere walls won't be enough to stop us!"

Although Wind Fiend said this, he had no confidence in his heart.

If all four walls were made of star alloy, they might truly become trapped rats today.

"Hehe, you want to leave?"

The voice over the broadcast carried a hint of mockery.

"Don't be in such a hurry."

"Since you're already here, how could you leave without experiencing the Myriad Treasures Pavilion's new product?"

"Qin Feng, activate Test Protocol Number One."

"Let our guests feel what it means to be truly 'at home'."

As Lin Fan's voice fell, the warehouse floor suddenly vibrated.

Immediately following that, a terrifying gravity field instantly enveloped the entire space.

*Vroom!* The air seemed to become incredibly viscous in an instant, as if it were filled with mercury.

The dozen or so hidden guards standing at the back had been vigilantly observing their surroundings.

The sudden change in gravity caught them completely off guard.

*Pfft!*

Several Martial Master Peak hidden guards with slightly weaker cultivation spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot.

Their knees slammed heavily onto the floor, producing the tooth-aching sound of cracking bones.

"Damn it, it's a gravity formation!"

"It's at least fifty times gravity!"

Wind Fiend roared, his astral qi erupting as he forcibly withstood the terrifying pressure.

But this was only the beginning.

While everyone was still struggling against the gravity,

Countless tiny holes suddenly flipped open on the warehouse ceiling.

Beams of red laser light poured down like a dense downpour.

These were no ordinary lasers.

These were high-energy cutting rays amplified by psionic energy!

"Watch out!"

Thunder Fiend shouted, thrusting both hands upward.

A purple lightning shield instantly took shape, attempting to block the lasers.

However,

the moment those laser beams touched the lightning shield, they sliced through it as easily as cutting through tofu.

*Sizzle! Sizzle! Sizzle!*

The hair-raising sound of cutting echoed.

Several hidden guards, pinned down by the gravity and unable to move, didn't even have time to scream.

Their bodies were instantly sliced into pieces by the laser grid.

Blood gushed out, staining the star alloy floor red.

But it wasn't over yet.

While the lasers were wreaking havoc,

Plumes of yellow-green gas began to spew from the warehouse vents.

This gas carried a sickly sweet smell; just one whiff made one feel dizzy and lightheaded.

"It's a neurotoxin!"

"Hold your breath! Quick, hold your breath!"

Wind Fiend's expression changed drastically. He hurriedly held his breath while circulating his astral qi to seal his pores.

But the hidden guards weren't so lucky.

Under the dual assault of fifty times gravity and the laser grid, they had already exhausted their strength.

Now that the poison gas had arrived, they were powerless to resist.

"Ahhh!!"

One hidden guard suddenly let out a shrill, agonizing scream.

His skin began to ulcerate, his eyes became bloodshot, and he started clawing at his own body like a madman.

In just a few seconds,

he had clawed himself into a bloody mess and finally breathed his last in extreme agony.

This was the welcoming ceremony Lin Fan had prepared for the Zhao family.

At this moment, in a monitoring room not far from the warehouse,

Lin Fan was sitting with his legs crossed, holding a bucket of freshly popped popcorn, watching the screen with great interest.

"Tsk tsk, the effect of this S-grade gravity inscription is still a bit lacking."

"It's only fifty times gravity, and those two old guys can still stand."

Lin Fan commented indistinctly while stuffing popcorn into his mouth.

Standing behind him, Qin Feng watched the hellish scene on the screen and couldn't help but swallow hard.

Too ruthless.

Meanwhile, Mo Yu, standing in the corner, was pushing up the glasses on the bridge of his nose to hide the shock in his eyes.

He had originally thought Lin Fan was just a somewhat clever Shrewd Merchant.

But looking at it now, this Lin Fan was simply a demon in human skin.

This kind of interlocking death trap, this method of playing with enemies in the palm of his hand,

was definitely not something an ordinary young man could possess.

"Assistant Mo, don't just stand there."

Lin Fan suddenly turned his head, looking at Mo Yu with a smile.

"Here, have some popcorn."

"It's caramel-flavored, very sweet."

Mo Yu looked at the popcorn offered to him, then at the Zhao family hidden guards who had died miserable deaths on the screen.

His stomach churned.

"Thank you, Minister, I'm not hungry."

Mo Yu suppressed his discomfort, trying his best to keep his voice calm.

"Fine, if you don't want any."

Lin Fan shrugged and withdrew his hand.

"It seems our Assistant Mo's mental fortitude still needs some strengthening."

"There will be many more scenes like this in the future; you'll have to get used to it."

Lin Fan turned back, watching The Wind and Thunder Duo still struggling on the screen, the smile at the corners of his mouth gradually turning cold.

"Alright, the appetizer is over."

"Time for the main course."

"Qin Feng, turn off the gravity field and the lasers."

"Stop the poison gas too; don't poison those two old guys to death directly."

"After all, they are Late-stage Grandmaster raw materials. If we ruin their appearance, they won't be worth as much."

Qin Feng froze for a moment.

"Brother Fan, what are you going to do?"

"You're not letting them die yet?"

Lin Fan stood up and brushed the crumbs off his hands.

A bloodthirsty glint flashed in his eyes.

"Of course I'm... closing the door to beat the dogs."

"It's been a while since I've stretched my muscles."

"I'll just use these two old things to test my newly developed battle armor."

With Lin Fan's command, the despair-inducing mechanisms inside the warehouse finally stopped operating.

The gravity dissipated, the lasers extinguished, and even the lethal poison gas was quickly sucked away by the ventilation system.

The entire warehouse returned to a deathly silence once more.

Only the severed limbs and broken bodies scattered across the floor and the pungent smell of blood told of the tragic scene that had just occurred.

The dozen or so elite hidden guards brought by the Zhao family had now all been turned into minced meat.

Not a single soul was left alive.

Only Wind Fiend and Thunder Fiend, the two Late-stage Grandmaster powerhouses, were still barely standing.
