347: Fierce Battle (IV)

Su Han's fingertips left streaks of blood on the moss-covered rock, every inch of movement like crawling on a knife's edge.

The intense pain from his fractured right leg surged through his consciousness like a tide, yet he stared fixedly at the stone platform slowly rising—runes glowed with a cold, eerie light under the moonlight, and in the central depression, green flames seemed to dance.

The Monster's roar suddenly became distorted. Su Han turned his head to look, only to see black mist gushing from its blinded eye sockets. The small, tentacle-like wisps of mist were actually weaving into new eyeballs in mid-air.

Su Han's heart sank into an ice cellar. He gripped the broken sword, the golden light seeping from the cracks in the hilt burning his palm, as if reminding him of his last reserves of strength.

The platform's trembling grew more intense. Dark green liquid seeped from the cracks in the ground, converging beside Su Han into a bizarre totem.

He suddenly recalled the blood sacrifice array recorded in ancient texts. Could the Monster's power originate from here?

Su Han struggled to press his palm onto the platform. Blood trickled down the rune patterns. The eerie green light suddenly surged, enveloping his entire body.

The Monster let out a piercing shriek, its six legs scraping sparks from the ground as it charged frantically towards the platform.

Su Han felt only the patterns on his palm grow hot. The green light in the platform's depression turned into a pillar of light that shot into the sky, condensing into ancient incantations in mid-air.

His wounds stopped bleeding, and a tingling sensation came from his fractured right leg. It was actually slowly healing within the green light.

"Is this... the power of Rebirth?"

Su Han murmured, his fingertips tracing the totem on the platform. Memories flooded in like a tide.

A hundred years ago, the Sect Elder had mentioned that this forbidden area sealed an ancient evil god. Could this platform be part of the Seal?

Did the Monster's blood corrode the Seal, allowing it to see the light of day again?

The Monster's front claws slammed heavily onto the edge of the platform. Su Han rolled away amidst the flying debris.

He discovered that every attack by the Monster would weaken the platform's rune light, while his own blood made the green light grow stronger.

Su Han grit his teeth and cut his wrist. Blood flowed into the platform like a stream. The green light instantly turned into a barrier, bouncing the Monster away.

Black mist condensed into armor around the Monster. Its single eye glowed red as it stared at Su Han, letting out a roar from its throat that resembled a sneer.

Su Han's sword-holding hand trembled slightly. He could feel the platform's power surging within him, but he didn't know if this power could completely destroy the Monster.

"Come on!"

Su Han roared and swung his sword towards the edge of the platform.

The broken sword collided with the runes, erupting in dazzling golden light. The green light in the center of the platform actually transformed into a sharp sword, piercing through the Monster's chest.

Black blood splattered onto Su Han's face, but he saw that the Monster's wound was no longer being repaired by mist. Instead, green vines emerged from underground, tightly wrapping around its body.

The Monster struggled frantically, but the vines tightened their grip, eventually dragging it underground.

Su Han staggered and leaned against the platform. Only then did he notice countless white bones extending from the cracks in the ground. Those bones formed a new totem, completely sealing the Monster.

He collapsed onto the ground, watching his wounds heal in the green light, but a deeper confusion arose in his heart.

Was the power of this platform a Seal, or some older existence?

Bi Yao's cries suddenly came from a distance. Su Han struggled to stand up, only to see the girl stumbling towards him, her hem stained with blood.

"Su Han!" She threw herself into his arms. "I thought... I thought you..."

Su Han gently stroked her hair. "I'm fine."

At the same time, his gaze remained fixed on the platform.
