113: Chapter 113 [Heart-Cleansing Talisman (Soothing Pollen Version)]
At 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Chen Zhen returned to the Secret Base from school.
Pushing open the door, he saw Zhou Rui squatting in front of the few pots of spiritual plants, holding a Mint leaf and examining it carefully. Shen Nian was reading a book nearby, and Yun Xi was leaning against the wall, resting with her eyes closed.
Everything was as usual.
Chen Zhen walked to the center of the formation and sat down, taking out the four newly acquired fragments from his Storage Space.
Seventeen pieces now.
Only one last piece left.
He was not in a hurry to perform the Fusion; he just watched them.
The four fragments emitted a soft, dark blue light, responding to the thirteen light spots in his Dantian from afar. They seemed to be waiting for something, and yet also urging something.
But he was not in a hurry.
He put away the fragments and walked over to the few pots of spiritual plants.
Under the nourishment of the thirteen fragments, the six pots of spiritual plants had completely mutated. The leaves of the four soul-calming grass plants had turned completely golden, and the flowers were as large as the mouth of a bowl, emitting an astonishing medicinal fragrance. The Mint leaves were as thick as jade, glowing with a lustrous light. The seeds of that wild soul-calming grass had fallen all over the ground, and new seedlings had grown into a patch.
He squatted down and gently touched the leaf of a new seedling.
The leaf trembled slightly, as if responding.
Zhou Rui leaned over.
"Master, can these seedlings be transplanted?"
Chen Zhen nodded.
"Yes. Want to try?"
Zhou Rui's eyes lit up.
"Yes!"
Chen Zhen took out a few empty flower pots and a bag of nutrient soil from his Storage Space.
"Do it yourself."
Zhou Rui rolled up his sleeves and started working. Shen Nian also put down his book and came over to help.
Chen Zhen stood by and watched, suddenly remembering the time when he had just experienced his Awakening of the System.
Back then, he was just like Zhou Rui, wanting to learn everything and try everything.
In a flash, more than two months had passed.
He withdrew his gaze and walked to the workbench.
He took out the stack of blank talisman paper and began to draw talismans.
It was not an Attack Talisman, nor a defensive talisman, but a new type of talisman—one he had realized from those runes on the Heavenly Pillar. It was called a "Teaching Talisman".
When posted in a place of study, it could improve learning efficiency.
Stroke by stroke, it was completed in one go.
[ Teaching Talisman · Experimental Version ]
[ Effect: Within a 5-meter radius, learning efficiency + 30%, lasting 8 hours ]
[ Quality: High-grade ]
He nodded in satisfaction and handed the talisman to Zhou Rui.
Zhou Rui was stunned for a moment.
"What is this?"
"Stick it on your desk. For studying."
Zhou Rui took the talisman and carefully put it away.
"Thank you, Master."
Chen Zhen didn't speak and continued to draw.
One, two, three...
He drew twenty of them and put them all into his Storage Space.
He would go to school tomorrow and stick them in the classroom.
At 7:00 PM, Zhou Rui and Shen Nian left.
Yun Xi was still leaning against the wall, not moving.
Chen Zhen looked at her.
"Something up?"
Yun Xi opened her eyes.
"Among those five neutrals, three said they want to see you."
Chen Zhen didn't speak.
Yun Xi waited for two seconds.
"Are you meeting them or not?"
Chen Zhen thought for a moment.
"When?"
"They said anytime."
Chen Zhen nodded.
"Weekend."
Yun Xi stood up.
"Alright, I'll notify them."
She walked to the door and suddenly stopped.
"Chen Zhen."
Chen Zhen looked at her.
Yun Xi was silent for two seconds.
"Do you know what Realm you are in now?"
Chen Zhen didn't speak.
Yun Xi smiled bitterly.
"Forget it, pretend I didn't ask."
She pushed the door open and left.
At 9:00 PM, Chen Zhen sat alone in the center of the formation.
Seventeen light spots were slowly rotating in his Dantian.
He activated the [ Eye of the Heavenly Road ].
His consciousness penetrated the barrier and reached the other side.
His Original Body was standing in the mist, with his back to him. Hearing the movement, he turned around.
"Here again?"
Chen Zhen looked at him.
"Is the last piece with you?"
The Original Body nodded.
"It's with me. Waiting for you to come and take it."
Chen Zhen was silent for a few seconds.
"No rush."
The Original Body smiled.
"I know. You still have things to finish over there."
Chen Zhen didn't speak.
The Original Body looked at him with gentle eyes.
"I'll wait for you."
Wednesday at 6:00 AM, Chen Zhen opened his eyes.
After a night of Cultivation, his Cultivation had increased again. With the boost from the seventeen fragments, his speed of Cultivation had become absurdly fast.
He stood up and walked to the window.
The sunlight outside was very nice.
He took out the twenty Teaching Talismans and put them in his pocket.
He pushed open the door and walked out.
At 7:20, Chen Zhen stepped into the classroom.
Zhang Meng was in the back row catching up on homework. Seeing him enter, he shouted as usual: "Help! Lend me your English homework to copy!"
Chen Zhen threw his homework notebook over.
Zhang Meng caught it and buried his head in furious copying.
Chen Zhen walked to his seat and sat down.
Then he stood up and began sticking the talismans. The first one, stuck next to the blackboard. The second one, stuck on the back wall of the classroom. The third one, stuck by the window. The fourth one, stuck behind the door. Twenty talismans, covering the entire classroom.
Zhang Meng looked up and glanced at them.
"What are you doing?"
Chen Zhen didn't answer and walked back to his seat to sit down. Zhang Meng scratched his head and continued copying homework.
The student in front, Su Xiaoya, turned her head.
"Chen Zhen, what did you stick up?"
"Protective Talismans."
Su Xiaoya was stunned for a moment.
"Why stick Protective Talismans in the classroom?"
Chen Zhen looked at her.
"To bless our studies."
Su Xiaoya stared at him for three seconds, then smiled.
"Alright, if you say so."
She turned back around.
In the last row, Zhou Rui looked up at those talismans, a faint smile on his lips.
He recognized them.
They were Teaching Talismans.
The first class was Math.
As soon as Teacher Zhao entered the door, he paused.
"What's that smell in the classroom?"
Below, everyone was bewildered.
Teacher Zhao sniffed.
"It's quite fragrant. Who sprayed perfume?"
No one admitted it. Teacher Zhao didn't ask again and started the class.
For forty-five minutes, the room was quiet.
No one dozed off, no one got distracted, and everyone was energetic.
The bell rang, and Teacher Zhao nodded in satisfaction.
"Good state today. Keep it up."
He left.
Zhang Meng turned his head to look at Chen Zhen.
"Chen Zhen, I keep feeling like those things you stuck up today are problematic."
Chen Zhen looked at him.
"What problem?"
Zhang Meng scratched his head.
"I can't really explain it. It just feels like... I was especially alert during class today."
Chen Zhen didn't speak.
Zhang Meng waited for two seconds, then sighed.
"Forget it, pretend I didn't ask."
At noon after school, Chen Zhen went to the cafeteria.
After getting his food, he found a seat and sat down.
He had only taken a few bites when three people walked over carrying their trays: Zhou Rui, Zhang Meng, and Chen Hao.
Zhang Meng sat down with a thud and started eating in big mouthfuls.
Chen Hao sat opposite Chen Zhen and looked at him.
"Chen Zhen, those talismans in the classroom today, did you stick them up?"
Chen Zhen nodded.
Chen Hao was silent for two seconds.
"Are they useful?"
Chen Zhen looked at him.
"What do you think?"
Chen Hao thought for a moment.
"I understood the math class today."
Chen Zhen didn't speak.
Chen Hao waited for two seconds, then sighed.
"Forget it, I won't ask."
He lowered his head to eat.
The third class in the afternoon was PE.
Today was the long jump test.
The boys stood in front of the sandpit, rubbing their hands and fists.
Zhang Meng jumped first, hitting 5.9 meters.
"Not bad." The PE Teacher recorded the result.
"Next, Chen Zhen."
Chen Zhen walked to the starting line.
He didn't do the run-up, acceleration, or sprint like the others; he just stood there. Then he jumped lightly.
His body traced an arc in the air, landing at 6.8 meters in the sandpit.
The PE Teacher took one look at the ruler and was stunned.
"6.8 meters."
The whole scene went quiet for a second.
"Holy crap!" Zhang Meng was the first to shout, "You broke the record again?"
Chen Zhen didn't speak and walked back into the line.
The PE Teacher stared at him for a few seconds, then recorded the result in his notebook.
"Chen Zhen, 6.8 meters, you broke the school record."
There was an uproar below.
Chen Hao stood in the line, watching Chen Zhen's back.
In his eyes, there was no longer complexity, only a kind of calmness. He was used to it.
After school, Chen Zhen packed his bag, ready to leave.
Zhou Rui walked over from behind and stood next to him.
"Master, can I go to the base tonight?"
Chen Zhen looked at him.
"What for?"
Zhou Rui took the jade box out of his schoolbag.
"I want to try the incense making you mentioned."
Chen Zhen nodded.
"Come."
At 7:00 PM, at the Secret Base.
Zhou Rui sat at the workbench, with three calming flowers, a mortar, and a stack of blank talisman paper laid out in front of him. Chen Zhen stood by, watching him.
"Are you ready?"
Zhou Rui took a deep breath.
"I'm ready."
He started working.
First, he plucked the petals one by one and put them into the mortar. Then he began to grind.
Infusing spiritual power into his hands, the petals turned into fine powder during the grinding process. A purple fragrance permeated the air. Sweat seeped from Zhou Rui's forehead, but his hands didn't stop.
After grinding for twenty minutes, he obtained a small pinch of flower powder.
He carefully poured the flower powder into a small porcelain bottle. Then he looked at the stack of blank talisman paper.
"Master, what's next?"
Chen Zhen took out a Heart-Clearing Talisman from his Storage Space and placed it in front of him.
"Draw it exactly like this. But this time, use the flower powder to mix the ink."
Zhou Rui nodded.
He picked up the brush, dipped it into the newly ground flower powder, and began to draw the talisman.
The first stroke was crooked. The second stroke broke. The third stroke, the spiritual power didn't keep up. He put down the brush and took a deep breath. He started over.
The fourth time, the fifth time, the sixth time... On the eighteenth time, a Heart-Clearing Talisman was finally completed. A light purple light lit up on the talisman paper, lasting for three seconds before fading away.
[ Heart-Clearing Talisman (anshen flower powder version) ]

[ Quality: High-grade ]
Zhou Rui stared at the talisman for three seconds.
Then he smiled. It was the happiest time Chen Zhen had ever seen him smile.
"Master, I succeeded!"
Chen Zhen nodded.
"Continue."
At 10:00 PM, Zhou Rui left.
When he left, he was carrying five talismans he had drawn himself, with an uncontrollable smile on his face.
Chen Zhen sat alone in the center of the formation.
Seventeen light spots rotated slowly.
He took out the four fragments and looked at them for a long time. Then he put them away.
No rush.
We'll see this weekend.
