20: Chapter 20: The Five Elements Reverse, the Fields Are Blown Up!

Herb Garden.

Qi Yang was squatting in the spirit field, slowly weeding a water glossy ganoderma.

With no one disturbing him these past few months, his cultivation had completely stabilized at the Qi Condensation 5th Layer.

Although cultivating with Five-Element Mixed Spiritual Roots was difficult, under the relentless bombardment of top-grade Spirit Medicine ripened by the black gourd, his Dantian and Qi Sea were twice as wide as those of Cultivators in the same Realm.

Right at this moment, a powerful surge of Spiritual Qi suddenly came from outside the herb garden.

Bang!

The wooden sign of the Special Grade Herb Garden was directly blown away by a violent gust of wind, and the withered wooden door was kicked open by someone.

Wearing the embroidered robes of an Inner Sect Disciple, Liu Qing walked in swaggeringly with his hands behind his back.

The Spiritual Pressure of his Qi Refining Tenth Layer was not restrained in the slightest, crashing down on the entire herb garden like an invisible mountain!

The gap between Realms in the Cultivation World was like a natural chasm; when the Qi Refining Tenth Layer faced anyone below the Qi Condensation 5th Layer, the Spiritual Pressure alone could cause their blood to churn and their liver and gallbladder to fracture!

Qi Yang bore the brunt of it, his entire body trembling under the pressure as his bones emitted cracking sounds under the unbearable burden.

Of course he could withstand this Spiritual Pressure, but his current persona was that of a frail, dying old farmer at the Qi Condensation Third Layer, and he absolutely could not reveal the slightest flaw.

"Cough, cough, cough... Esteemed Inner Sect Senior Brother... This humble old man's herb garden was personally conferred as a Special Grade Herb Garden by the Grand Elder of the Outer Sect. I wonder what business Senior Brother has by forcefully barging in?"

Qi Yang raised his head with difficulty, his face covered in mud, his turbid old eyes filled with terror and awe.

He did not beg for mercy, nor did he fawn like a dog; he simply used Great Elder Li Changyuan's name to probe.

Liu Qing sneered, walked up to Qi Yang, and looked down at him condescendingly.

"Trying to suppress me with Elder Li? You old thing, the Grand Elder can manage the Outer Sect, but he can't manage us up at Baicao Peak of the Inner Sect! I've come today following the dharma decree of Elder Song to exchange some insights on spirit planting with trash like you."

He deliberately emphasized the word 'exchange', and the threat in his eyes was undisguised.

"If you know what's good for you, hand over the secret to your so-called Five Elements Watering Method. Otherwise, even if you're a handyman of the Special Grade Herb Garden, I have plenty of ways to make you wish you were dead, for instance... accidentally slipping and breaking a few of your bones?"

A trace of coldness flashed through Qi Yang's lowered eyes.

Baicao Peak? An Inner Sect Elder?

Indeed, there are no airtight walls in this world; a tree that stands out from the forest will be destroyed by the wind.

The excuse he had fabricated had ultimately still attracted greedy jackals.

However, Qi Yang's nearly a century of living cautiously made him best at preparing for rainy days.

Since he dared to make up the Five Elements Watering Method, he had long since prepared to be coveted!

Want to snatch it? This daddy will give it to you for free; I just fear you won't have your life to practice it!

"Senior Brother, calm your anger! Senior Brother, calm your anger!"

Qi Yang coughed violently, as if scared out of his wits, and tremblingly fished a crumpled, tattered booklet from his bosom, holding it above his head with both hands.

"How would this old man dare conceal anything from an Inner Sect Senior Brother! This booklet contains all the insights on the Five Elements Watering Method that this old man has pondered over these past decades. Please take a look, Senior Brother!"

A trace of disdain flashed through Liu Qing's eyes.

He truly was trash, handing it over after a slight scare.

He snatched the booklet away, opened it, and glanced at it. It was densely written with the watering times, water volumes, and spiritual power circulation routes for various Spirit Medicines.

The most core section among them was heavily circled with cinnabar.

"With all Five Elements complete, generating and overcoming one another, to execute this method, one must use one's own Meridians as a bridge to guide the Five Elements Qi of heaven and earth into the body, forming a Great Circulation of the Five Elements within the Dantian."

"Water generates Wood, Wood generates Fire, Fire generates Earth, Earth generates Metal, Metal generates Water. Only by reversing and filtering spiritual power can one purify the essence of vegetation to water Spirit Medicines, seizing the fortune of heaven and earth!"

Although Liu Qing possessed a Four-Element Human Spiritual Root, he could still see the profundity of this theory, which even vaguely aligned with some profound Law!

How could he know that this was simply a set of 'poison scriptures' arbitrarily made up by Qi Yang, combining Daoist Five Elements theories from his past life with basic common sense of the Cultivation World!

"Consider yourself sensible!"

Liu Qing tucked the booklet into his bosom as if it were a rare treasure, and cast a cold glance at Qi Yang.

"You'd better let today's matter rot in your stomach. If Elder Li finds out that you leaked the secret technique to Baicao Peak, your Special Grade Herb Garden sign won't be saved!"

Finishing his words, Liu Qing laughed twice, turned into a streak of escape light that soared into the sky, and headed straight for the Inner Sect.

Qi Yang slowly crawled up from the mud, patted the dust off his body, looked in the direction where Liu Qing disappeared, and revealed a sneer.

"Great Circulation of the Five Elements? Reversing and filtering spiritual power?"

"You geniuses with relatively pure Spiritual Roots already have incomplete Five Elements within your bodies. You forcefully engage in the generation and restriction of the Five Elements within your Meridians, and you still want to reverse your spiritual power?"

Qi Yang picked up the water scoop on the ground and continued watering the Spirit Medicines.

"I wish your Baicao Peak an early ascension to heaven."

...

Inner Sect, Baicao Peak.

Holding the tattered booklet brought back by Liu Qing, Song Que studied it like a rare treasure for a full day and night.

"Wondrous! Truly wondrous!"

Song Que was so excited that his beard was trembling.

"Using Meridians as a bridge to reverse and purify the Five Elements! Such a secret technique that seizes the fortune of heaven and earth was actually pondered out by an Outer Sect trash at the Qi Condensation Third Layer? This is definitely a remnant page left from ancient times, picked up by that old thing when a blind cat ran into a dead mouse!"

As a Three-element Profound Spiritual Root, Song Que only had Metal, Water, and Wood Spiritual Roots inside his body.

But relying on his profound cultivation at the Early Foundation Establishment, he considered himself fully capable of suppressing the backlash brought by incomplete Five Elements.

"Liu Qing! Go immediately to the Grade 2 Spirit Medicine field and prepare a nearly mature bishui lotus for this old man! This old man is going to personally execute this Five Elements Watering Method. Once successful, the quality of this bishui lotus will definitely be elevated to the utmost grade, and this old man's Breakthrough to the Middle Stage of Foundation Establishment will be within reach!"

Half an hour later, inside the most core Spirit Medicine field of Baicao Peak.

Song Que sat cross-legged beside a spirit spring, right before him was a Grade 2 Spirit Medicine bishui lotus exuding dense water-attribute Spiritual Qi.

Liu Qing and several other trusted Disciples stood to the side, their faces filled with anticipation.

"Water generates Wood, Wood generates Fire..."

Song Que took a deep breath and began forcibly mobilizing the spiritual power within his body according to the routes on the tattered booklet.

He lacked Fire and Earth Spiritual Roots in his body, so he could only forcibly use the spiritual power of the Foundation Establishment Stage to simulate the operation routes of these two attributes, attempting to form a Great Circulation of the Five Elements within his Dantian.

At the very beginning, wisps of purified spiritual power dripped down his fingertips. After being absorbed by the bishui lotus, its leaves became even more crystal clear and translucent, and its Spiritual Qi surged explosively!

"It worked! Revered Master's Divine Might!"

Liu Qing was overjoyed.

Song Que also revealed wild joy, but before he even had time to rejoice, a sudden change occurred!

The Fire and Earth spiritual powers that he forcibly simulated within his body suddenly collapsed within his Meridians because they lacked real Spiritual Roots as a carrier!

The Great Circulation of the Five Elements, which originally generated and overcame one another, instantly turned into a chaotic reversal of the Five Elements!

Boom!

Violent Spiritual Qi exploded resoundingly inside Song Que's body. He wildly spewed a large mouthful of fresh blood, and his entire body was directly blasted flying outward.

But this was still not the end!

Song Que's out-of-control spiritual power followed the previous connection and frantically poured backward into that bishui lotus.

The bishui lotus simply could not withstand this chaotic reversal of Five Elements Spiritual Qi, and in an instant, it expanded to its absolute limit!

"Not good! Retreat quickly!"

Song Que's eyes split open with anger, and he roared out.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

A heaven-shaking and earth-shattering loud noise exploded across Baicao Peak!

That Grade 2 bishui lotus exploded directly. The violent Spiritual Qi shockwave was like a hurricane passing through, grinding all the precious Spirit Medicines within a radius of ten zhang into fine powder!

The field had exploded!

The entire Grade 2 Spirit Medicine field was destroyed in an instant!

"Ah!! My Spirit Medicines! My painstaking efforts!"

Disheveled, Song Que crawled out from the ruins. Looking at the mess all over the ground, he was driven to fury by vexation and coughed up another mouthful of old blood.

He tightly clenched that tattered booklet, his eyes filled with venom and madness.

"That undying trash! How dare he plot against this old man! Someone come! Follow this old man to the Outer Sect and capture that old beast!"
