339: Psychological problems

What Si Yang was most reluctant to mention was the past.

"Go to sleep!" Si Yang said, looking at Xiao Jiayin.

Xiao Jiayin looked at Si Yang, gave a pitiful response, and closed her eyes while leaning against him.

The next day, Si Yang sat in the courtyard, looking up at the sky. How had his life become such a muddle?

For some reason, he felt a bit melancholy.

It was as if his life had lost its purpose; he didn't lack money—it was truly just a number to him.

As for beauty, none of the women around him were anything less than stunning.

This truly was the peak of life.

People! Sometimes, when their selfish desires are satisfied, they always think about pursuing more.

But Si Yang was different; he was the type of person who was content with the status quo.

Li Jianian appeared before Si Yang. Si Yang rolled his eyes at her, not wanting to speak.

"So you're blaming me now," Li Jianian said faintly.

"Li Jianian, you're getting bolder and bolder. Besides, she's your Older Female Cousin!" Si Yang said to Li Jianian irritably.

"Don't talk about anything else. Just tell me, was it comfortable or not?" Li Jianian looked at Si Yang with a grin.

"What's the point?" Si Yang had no way to argue and could only speak helplessly.

He could feel that both Li Jianian and Ye Mengwan were intentionally indulging him.

"She likes it."

"And I'm all alone in City Name; it gets lonely," Li Jianian said softly.

Si Yang glanced at Li Jianian and took a deep breath, not wanting to say another word.

"Actually, it's quite good for Older Female Cousin. With you backing her in the entertainment industry, she doesn't have to fear any dirty tricks. She can act if she wants to act, and sing if she wants to sing. When she's tired, there's an embrace waiting for her when she turns around."

"The others are the same. They do what they need to do, and you don't interfere with their lives. When they're tired or miss you, they come back to find you. Isn't that great?" Li Jianian said gently.

"So you've all decided to treat me as a pastime," Si Yang said, caught between laughter and tears.

"Oh, stop it," Li Jianian chuckled.

"Aren't you the one who's comfortable? With so many women waiting on you, what more could you want?"

"Besides, you're the big boss here, okay? Whether it's me or Ye Mengwan, who would dare say anything to you? We all have to listen to you," Li Jianian said softly.

Si Yang usually didn't speak much, but once he did, it meant a decision had been made.

If he liked staying at home, he stayed at home.

He said he didn't want the Rong Family's massive business empire, and no one dared to try to persuade him otherwise.

They really did dote on him and spoil him.

"Qingqian lost yesterday and was quite resentful. Actually, in terms of first come, first served, it should have been Qingqian's turn."

"When will you have time?" Li Jianian winked.

"I think you've gone mad," Si Yang said irritably.

Feelings, once they become unrestrained, become cheap.

What on earth was she after?

"But how did you all choose yesterday?" Si Yang was a bit curious.

"We flipped a coin. Heads was Jiayin, tails was Qingqian," Li Jianian said softly.

Si Yang rolled his eyes speechlessly. "Was it that casual?"

"How about we let you choose next time?" Li Jianian chuckled.

"Get out, get out, get out," Si Yang said irritably.

"Fine," Li Jianian turned and went inside.

A moment later, she came out holding a tiny baby. Once outside, the Little fellow waved his arms and legs, very happy.

"What did you bring this thing here for?" Si Yang said to Li Jianian helplessly.

The Little Thing was quite cute and very likable.

*Smack!* A palm struck the back of Si Yang's head. He saw the old man looking at him with an angry expression.

"What do you mean 'this thing'? This is your son."

"You don't acknowledge your elders, and now you don't plan on acknowledging your son either, do you?" The old man looked furious.

Anything else was fine, but when it came to his precious great-grandson, even Si Yang wouldn't be tolerated.

"Tell me, have you even taken a good look at him since you got back!"

"Such a smooth and tender little baby, and you won't even spare him a glance!"

"Today, you two father and son should work on building your bond!" Li Jianian said, holding back her laughter. This guy really deserved a beating.

The old man's slap had truly delighted her.

Li Jianian let go, and the Little fellow sat on Si Yang's stomach.

Si Yang quickly held onto him; if he fell, he might get hurt.

They stared at each other.

Si Yang looked at the Little fellow, and the Little fellow looked back at Si Yang.

In this life, he had experienced everything except for taking care of a baby.

How did Si Yue grow up when she was little?

He had to think carefully.

It seemed like all she did was eat and sleep!

"Are you hungry?" Si Yang asked the Little fellow, blinking.

"I forgot you can't talk." Si Yang smiled.

The Little fellow babbled, but he couldn't understand a word.

Li Jianian almost died laughing watching the interaction between father and son.

"He's not hungry; he just finished eating and it's playtime," Li Jianian said.

Si Yang looked at the Little Thing before him, speechless for a moment.

Feeling quite melancholy, he pulled out a cigarette. Before he could light it, he saw the Old fellow dash over.

"Damn it, how many times have I told you? You're not allowed to smoke in front of the baby." The Old fellow snatched the lighter away and threw it on the ground.

With no flame for the cigarette in his mouth, Si Yang sighed, took it out, and held it to the Little fellow's mouth.

"Holy crap!" The old man, who had just snatched the lighter, went up and gave him a hard slap. What was this brat trying to do?

"Are you done yet?" Si Yang said irritably.

He stood up and shoved the Little Thing into Li Jianian's arms. "Take him away, take him away," Si Yang said with a look of disgust.

"I've been hit twice in such a short time," Si Yang said irritably.

Li Jianian glanced at Si Yang, caught between laughter and tears. Lei Man quickly came over and took the Little fellow, who was still looking around blankly.

She then glared fiercely at Si Yang, pressed her face against the Little fellow's cheek, and walked away.

"I told you to bond with your son, but look at you—you couldn't even stand it for a moment," Li Jianian said helplessly.

"He can't talk, can't chat, and doesn't even recognize people. What bond is there to build?" Si Yang curled his lip.

He pulled out another cigarette and put it in his mouth. "Hey, old man, where's the lighter?"

Old Master Rong took a deep breath and handed the lighter he had snatched back to Si Yang.

Si Yang nonchalantly lit the cigarette. "Fine, I'm going to sleep for a bit." With the cigarette in his mouth, he headed into the house on his own.

Watching Si Yang's departing figure, the old man sighed faintly.

"Sigh!"

He exchanged a glance with Li Jianian, both looking somewhat worried.

To put it nicely, Si Yang had no ambitions and was indifferent to everything. Whether it was life and death or even emotions, he was extremely detached.

The only person he truly cared about was probably Ye Mengwan.

But even Ye Mengwan didn't seem to be everything to him.

This was a type of psychological disorder: detachment.

Such a person might seem to live an easy life, but in reality, it's the most burdensome because no one can fathom his thoughts.

Since he was indifferent even to life and death, he might suddenly feel that the world was meaningless at any moment and fall into despair.
