92: Mu Lingxi was jealous.

After defeating Xiao Wuqing, Lu Yu's Physical Body wasn't seriously injured; after all, his physical strength was clearly superior.

However, that last strike, the “Guiyi Sword,” had nearly drained most of his spiritual energy, and his Meridians were still faintly throbbing.

If he hadn't been restricted to using the Dao of the Sword, he wouldn't have had such a difficult fight. Neither the Fierce Sun Nine Heavens nor the Crimson Flame Emperor Phoenix Manifestation had been able to display their full might, but since they weren't sword-type Divine Abilities, using them would have violated the rules.

The Fierce Sun Nine Heavens only allowed him to use the Sword Dao Technique within the first round of the scorching sun, and the Nine Yang Haori Body hadn't displayed its powerful might either.

Otherwise, he would have definitely pinned Xiao Wuqing down and given him a good beating!

“Serves you right for showing off.”

Liu Yunshu felt both distressed and helpless. She quickly pulled out various bottles and jars from her Storage Ring—Nourishing Meridian Pills, Spirit Moistening Powder, Qi Recovery Paste—and shoved them all into his mouth.

“It's fine, I just used up too much spiritual energy.”

Lu Yu swallowed the Medicinal Pill and felt a warm current dissolve within his body, making him squint comfortably.

“You two are the same. You fought as if you were truly enraged, with no sense of proportion.”

Liu Yunshu glared angrily at Lu Yu. In the end, Lu Yu’s Physical Body was strong and he wasn't seriously injured, but Xiao Wuqing hadn't been so lucky.

“What's there to be afraid of? Didn't I win?”

Lu Yu reached out and pulled her closer, making her sit on his lap, placing one hand on her delicate, shapely waist.

“Besides, if your man can't even handle a situation like this, how is he going to protect you in the future?”

“Who needs your protection...”

Liu Yunshu muttered softly, but her body honestly nestled into his embrace.

Today, she was wearing a light cyan casual dress, her hair loosely pinned up, with a few wisps falling by her ears, making her look incredibly gentle and refined.

Lu Yu lowered his head and sniffed the fragrance of her hair, suddenly feeling that the fight had been worthwhile—at least someone was here to care for him afterward.

The two of them were being affectionate for a while when footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door.

Liu Yunshu immediately tried to stand up, but Lu Yu held her down: “What are you panicking about? It's not like we're doing anything shameful.”

Before his voice faded, the door was pushed open.

Mu Lingxi stood at the doorway holding a tray, on which sat a bowl of steaming hot soup.

When she saw the scene inside the room, her steps paused, and the smile on her face stiffened momentarily, but she quickly recovered her natural demeanor, though she felt a little twinge of jealousy in her heart.

“Junior Martial Uncle, I made you some Spirit Nourishing Soup.”

She walked in, placed the tray on the table, glanced at Liu Yunshu, and then looked away.

“Madam Liu is here too.”

Liu Yunshu felt a bit awkward and tried to get off Lu Yu's lap, but Lu Yu held her waist and prevented her from moving.

She could only nod with a flushed face: “Miss Mu.”

“Just call me Lingxi.”

Mu Lingxi smiled, her tone gentle, but Lu Yu clearly saw the undeniable hint of sourness in her eyes.

She was a few years older than Lu Yu and usually maintained the dignified and steady appearance of a Senior Sister within the Sect, but in front of Lu Yu, her more feminine traits couldn't be hidden.

After their last Dual Cultivation session, she was already Lu Yu's woman. Seeing Liu Yunshu occupying him so matter-of-factly, it was no wonder she felt uncomfortable.

“Lingxi, that was thoughtful of you.”

Lu Yu let go of Liu Yunshu and reached for the bowl of soup.

“Be careful, it's hot.”

Mu Lingxi gently reminded him, then glanced at Liu Yunshu: “Madam Liu, would you like some too? I stewed quite a bit.”

“No need, thank you.”

Liu Yunshu shook her head, stood up, and prepared to leave.

“You two chat. I'll go check if dinner is ready.”

After saying that, she left, her steps slightly hurried.

Only Lu Yu and Mu Lingxi were left in the room.

Seeing Liu Yunshu leave, Mu Lingxi stopped pretending and immediately sat down in Lu Yu's lap—Lu Yu's lap hadn't been empty yet. Mu Lingxi stared straight into Lu Yu's eyes.

Today she was wearing a goose-yellow dress, which highlighted her fair skin, but her eyes were slightly red, perhaps from not sleeping well last night.

“Junior Martial Uncle...”

She spoke, her voice soft.

“Hmm?”

“Are you and Madam Liu... serious?”

Lu Yu took a sip of soup and looked up at her: “What's wrong?”

“I was just asking.”

Mu Lingxi lowered her head: “Madam Liu is a member of the Tang Family after all, and... she's quite a bit older than you. People in the Sect might gossip.”

“Let them talk.”

Lu Yu smiled, completely unconcerned: “Do I have to worry about what others think when choosing a Dao Companion?”

Mu Lingxi fell silent.

The room was quiet for a moment, save for the faint sound of Lu Yu drinking soup.

After a long while, Mu Lingxi spoke again, her voice even softer: “What about me?”

Lu Yu put down the soup bowl and looked at her.

Mu Lingxi looked up, her eyes watery, her words carrying a hint of grievance.

“Junior Martial Uncle, I am your woman too. You've only been paying attention to Yun Shu these past few days, and you haven't come to see me...”

Lu Yu smiled and held Mu Lingxi's small hand.

“Yun Shu has been in a bad mood lately. She fell out with the Tang Family and won't be returning there. From now on, she is a member of my Heavenly Evolution Immortal Sect. Her adopted son was also taken through Possession by an Old Monster. She's been quite depressed these days, so I naturally need to keep her company.”

Hearing Lu Yu's words, Mu Lingxi actually felt quite sorry for Yun Shu.

“Then between Yun Shu and me, who do you like more?”

Lu Yu spoke frankly, without the slightest hesitation.

“I like her, and I like you. I want both of you.”

His words were so self-assured that Mu Lingxi was stunned.

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but found herself unable to refute him.

In the Cultivation World, the strong are respected. It is perfectly normal for a capable Male Cultivator to have three wives and four concubines, especially since Lu Yu is the Tianyan Divine Son, a figure destined to stand at the Peak in the future.

But she still felt uncomfortable inside.

Why did Yun Shu get to accompany him every day? Why was she able to live here legitimately?

“Junior Martial Uncle is biased.”

After holding it in for a long time, that was the only sentence she could manage.

Lu Yu was amused by her aggrieved expression. He wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his hands on her lower abdomen.

“How am I biased? Was there ever a time you came to find me that I ignored you?”

“That's different...”

Mu Lingxi leaned into his embrace, her voice muffled: “Madam Liu gets to accompany you every day, but I can only visit occasionally.”

“Then why don't you move in too?” Lu Yu teased her.

Mu Lingxi huffed.

“I don't want to! If others see us, who knows what they'll say.”

Lu Yu ruffled her hair: “There you go. Everyone has their own advantages. Don't always compare yourself to Yun Shu.”

Mu Lingxi stopped speaking, burying her face in the crook of his neck and taking a deep breath.

She actually knew she was being unreasonable, but she just couldn't control herself.

That's what it's like to like someone; you wish you could tie them to your side so no one else could touch them.

The two of them were affectionate for a while longer before Mu Lingxi reluctantly got up and left.

As she left, she kept looking back repeatedly, her gaze making Lu Yu feel like a heartless scoundrel.

For the next three days, Lu Yu didn't go anywhere, staying at his residence to recuperate.

Liu Yunshu took care of him almost constantly, bringing tea, pouring water, performing Alchemy for healing—she was incredibly gentle.

She was already a meticulous person, but now she treated Lu Yu like a treasure, even temporarily putting aside her Cultivation.

Sure enough, a considerate older sister is the best!

Mu Lingxi came once every day, always bringing various soups and broths, and her gaze towards Liu Yunshu grew increasingly resentful.

Lu Yu watched the subtle, unspoken rivalry between the two women, finding it both amusing and headache-inducing.

And every night was the real “suffering,” for Yun Guying.
