199: New habitat

After skipping the gene serums of the two Evil Kings, Chen Fei walked toward other areas of the cold storage.

New Species Research Area:

Chen Fei saw "new species" sealed within crystal pillars.

However, these "new species" were all dead, or rather, they were deformities.

Some had a human female upper body and a centipede's lower body; it was likely an attempt to mimic Evil King No. 9, but it had failed, and they were already dead.

Some had webbed hands and feet, extremely wide and loose lips, and eyes that protruded like glass, making for a very unsettling sight.

As for their lower bodies, they were in a state too wretched to describe.

Distorted bodies covered in a mass of tumors, with seaweed and moss growing atop the tumors... all of it made it impossible for Chen Fei to find a similar Yao Beast to describe them.

The so-called new species were all such deformed, indescribable monsters.

With a wave of his hand, Chen Fei moved the entire cold storage into the Sacred Codex Space and then had Wu Yun wrap it in her Frost Domain.

He also had the ice-attribute Yao Beasts in the Xirang Space assist, ensuring the ice did not melt.

Regardless of whether they would be useful, these gene serums at least couldn't be left out in the open.

If the opportunity arose, he might even use them to find information regarding the origins of the Ten Evil Kings.

After looking around here, Chen Fei returned to the cultivation room.

Only this time, he wasn't looking at the "breeding machines," but at the cocoons wrapped in spider silk.

"Wu Lu, do you know what's inside these?"

Hearing Chen Fei's question, Wu Lu's face turned pale.

"You should see for yourself!" She turned her head away, unwilling to speak of it.

"Ya, cut one open and see."

Lin Ya's monarchs sword gently swept across; these spider silk webs were like strands of hair, snapping at the slightest touch to reveal what was inside.

It wasn't an adult woman, but a human child.

However, this child had six eyeballs on its face and six arms; below the head, it was wrapped in layers of bone-like material.

It seemed to sense Lin Ya and the threat he posed; its head suddenly split into two halves in a threatening display.

It was filled with fangs and a long proboscis.

The green liquid constantly dripping down made even Chen Fei feel psychologically uncomfortable.

Clearly, this had already moved beyond the level of a human body.

"No wonder I didn't see the children you mentioned; they were all used as experimental subjects!"

Wu Lu could feel Chen Fei's anger—a pressure that felt like it wanted to tear everything around it apart, forcing her to take several steps back.

Counting them up, there were 1320 cocoons here, which meant a total of 1320 children.

And this was just a remote place like Dripping Water Cliff Town.

It was hard to imagine how many children had suffered such torture after some major nations were destroyed.

The most terrifying thing was that a child like this already possessed the strength of a second-level beast.

By the time these children truly emerged from their cocoons, they might even reach the strength of a Third-level Beast.

Then the Evil Beasts would indoctrinate them with the idea that "humans are evil beings, humans are the enemy."

When the time came, these grown children would slaughter human armies while the Evil Beasts watched from a distance... just thinking about such a scene made one's skin crawl.

The Evil Beasts hadn't just created an Extinction Cult to manipulate hearts and assassinate Geniuses.

Now they were even trying to turn humans into a part of themselves.

Or using human power to eliminate humans.

They certainly had it all calculated!

Even Chen Fei, who had lived two lives, felt waves of coldness and a chill down his spine.

After a long while, Chen Fei said in a deep voice, "Six-Armed Asura, report back to your superiors. Say there's been a major discovery: a new species has been successfully cultivated, with a human body and a snake tail, and a triangular mark on the top of its head..."

A human body and a snake tail were the standard features of the Wa Clan.

But Chen Fei changed the vortex-shaped Heavenly Heart Mark on the head to a triangular mark.

Having a few differences would make it more realistic.

That so-called No. 0 should be very interested upon hearing this information; Chen Fei would just wait for the other party to come to him.

As for the spider cocoons here, Chen Fei was in a bit of a bind, not knowing how to settle them.

Seeing Chen Fei's dilemma, Wu Lu asked tentatively, "Master, your spatial ring seems to have a lot of space?"

"It is very large!"

"How large? Larger than Dripping Water Cliff Town?"

Chen Fei was still considering the matter of the cocoons, so he replied offhandedly, "Ten Dripping Water Cliffs combined couldn't compare."

In fact, even a hundred Dripping Water Cliffs wouldn't necessarily be as large as the Sacred Codex Space.

The volume of water in Qinghai Lake is approximately 74.3 cubic kilometers, and the Sacred Codex Space was equivalent to the volume of 134.6 Qinghai Lakes.

And a Qinghai Lake was no smaller than a town—it was even larger.

But in Wu Lu's mind, such a volume and capacity were quite shocking.

Amidst her shock, she asked another question: "Master's space can seemingly store living things?"

"It can!"

After answering, Chen Fei suddenly turned his head; he seemed to realize what Wu Lu was planning.

"Are you saying you want to move everything here into my spatial ring?"

Wu Lu nodded and proposed another idea: "Not just these cocoons, but also me and the experimental subjects.

Our appearance wouldn't be accepted by humans anywhere.

There is no longer a place for us on the Spirit Taming Continent.

If we can enter Master's space, it would instead be a paradise for us.

As for supplies, there are still plenty in the air-raid shelter, enough to last us five or six years.

If some soil could be moved into Master's space, we could even cultivate spiritual plants and food inside... To be honest with Master, those of us hiding from the Evil Beasts in the air-raid shelter have very weak combat abilities.

That's because most of us are researchers.

As long as we are given some food seeds, self-sufficiency won't be a problem.

Once we settle down, we can even research these Evil Beast genes..."

Wu Lu said a lot, trying to persuade Chen Fei.

And Chen Fei did indeed have some ideas.

With the Xirang present, the Sacred Codex Space didn't lack soil, and naturally didn't lack food; supporting this group of people wasn't a big problem.

He was more interested in the latter sentence:

Researching Evil Beast genes!

"I'll consider it. Also, you go and ask the others what they think first."

After Chen Fei gave his orders, Wu Lu began to gather the Mutants in the air-raid shelter who were still alive and mentally sound.

There were 780 who had been cultivated into mother insects.

There were 6468 humans, including men, women, and children, who had undergone gene Fusion and modification with various races.

Everyone else had already died during the experiments.

This number wasn't actually that large; cordoning off a few dozen cubic kilometers in the Sacred Codex Space would be enough for them to live.

Soon, Wu Lu returned with everyone's intentions: "Master, we are all willing to be enslaved by you.

We can even swear a Heaven and Earth Oath:

In our lifetimes, we shall not rebel.

We shall not disclose anything regarding Master to the outside world.

And we only want a habitat that truly belongs to us..."
