Chapter 32: Demanding a Person (Part 2)

’Wang En.’Lou Yi’s face was expressionless, but his heart surged with a murderous intent.

This morning he called me brother, and by the afternoon, he was plotting against me.

This petty man has chosen his path to destruction.

But, what should be done now?

Lou Yi rapidly contemplated in his mind.

Just then, a hoarse shout came from the distance.

"Running away now would just confirm you as the murderer," Housekeeper Wu rebuked Shi Zhan, then turned to Lou Yi and asked loudly, "Lou Yi, tell me honestly, did you kill someone?"

"No." Seeing Housekeeper Wu’s attitude, Lou Yi felt assured, "Everyone knows the Qi Family members were killed by a tiger, it has nothing to do with me."

"Good! That’s all I need to hear from you!" Housekeeper Wu continued coldly, "Although Qi Erlang is with the Government Office, he’s not powerful enough to just take people from Jia Family as he pleases!"

"Lou Yi, come with me!"

Lou Yi followed Housekeeper Wu, along with the other guards in the courtyard, and made a grand procession towards the main gate.

There, two groups were facing off against each other.

The guards of Jia Family Manor, each wielding a long stick, stood in a battle-ready stance, blocking the other group from entering.

Qi Hu stood at the forefront of a group of archers, holding a saber in his right hand, and angrily questioned, "Is Jia Family trying to shield the murderer?"

"Does Qi Erlang have any evidence?" Housekeeper Wu strode out. "Or do you have an arrest warrant issued by an Inspector?"

"The situation is urgent, once we apprehend the culprit, we will naturally present the warrant." Qi Hu said, suppressing his anger.

"Since there is no warrant, please leave." Housekeeper Wu fearlessly issued an expulsion order.

"You!" Qi Hu erupted in anger.

Seeing Lou Yi’s unperturbed face behind Housekeeper Wu, his eyes nearly bulged with fury.

"I am Qin Yun of Tai City’s Heavy Sword Sect, and I have found enough evidence to prove that the annihilation of the Qi Family was man-made."

"Oh, can you prove it was done by Lou Yi?"

Qin Yun hesitated but quickly responded, "Though there is no direct evidence, there is great suspicion."

"The Laws of the Great Wei state: There must be evidence before a person can be detained." Housekeeper Wu’s attitude was firm, yielding nothing, "Or does Brother Qin believe his words are more useful than the Great Wei laws?"

"I certainly wouldn’t dare." Qin Yun said, then stepped aside, but his eyes stayed on Lou Yi with a hint of amusement.

Lou Yi sensed Qin Yun’s gaze and returned it.

His heart stirred, this person is not simple.

Now his five senses far surpass ordinary people, the legendary sixth sense that can sense danger has naturally broken through as well.

With just one look, he could faintly judge that although this person looked young, his strength was extraordinary.

The group of archers formerly gathered in front of Jia Family Manor’s gate left with him.

"The brat really sees himself as an Inspector." Housekeeper Wu had a hint of disdain on his face.

"What if Qi Erlang finds an Inspector and obtains an arrest warrant?" Shi Zhan asked worriedly.

"The Inspector is renowned for being cautious and leaving no loose ends." Housekeeper Wu glanced at Shi Zhan without openly answering the question.

Hearing this, Lou Yi felt slightly relieved.

Yang Er didn’t stand on ceremony with Lou Yi, cheerfully taking the money.

Having received the information, Lou Yi requested a leave and went out with Housekeeper Wu.
