Chapter 93: Preparation

Fang Ka made his way back to the Ancient Castle, then headed to the Underground Library to return the books in his hands to their original places.He then carefully selected some books on alchemical advancement and placed them in a pile to the side.

After finishing the selection, Fang Ka meticulously flipped through them again, and once he felt satisfied, he took the books and headed outside.

He returned to the beach where Xia Lin was waiting for him, and upon seeing him, she excitedly waved and greeted, "Mentor Fang Ka!"

Fang Ka nodded at her and then gestured to the adult Pink Merfolk waiting on the beach, signaling her to pass the books he held to Xia Lin.

Upon receiving the books, Xia Lin hugged them tightly like treasures, fearing any mishap.

Fang Ka nodded at Xia Lin, "I’ve categorized these alchemy books for you; I suggest you start from the ones at the very bottom."

Hearing Fang Ka’s words, Xia Lin glanced at the book at the bottom of the pile in her arms, then at the one at the top, and gratefully smiled at Fang Ka, "Mentor Fang Ka, you’ve been so considerate."

"I’ll come back again by tomorrow evening; you can bring any doubts to me, and I’ll clarify them," Fang Ka said to Xia Lin before preparing to leave.

Xia Lin nodded eagerly like a pecking chick, "Alright, Mentor Fang Ka."

Just as Fang Ka turned to leave, he heard Noel’s soft voice from behind, "Um, Lord Fang Ka..."

Fang Ka paused and turned to look at Noel, who was leaning against the reef.

"What’s up, Noel? Is there something you need?"

Noel stared at Fang Ka, her face turning red, her pink lips moving slightly, as if having difficulty speaking.

Fang Ka, curious at her behavior, asked, "Didn’t have enough to eat? Need some more?"

Noel bit her lower lip, her face reddening further as she replied, "Lord Fang Ka, could you arrange some fights for me?"

Only then did Fang Ka confirm he hadn’t misheard, curiously observing the blushing Noel, finding her somewhat endearingly contrasting.

How could someone so shy and adorable speak such fierce words?
