44: Chapter 44 Iron Blood Society
"Ssh!"
A harsh screech of metal grinding echoed through the vast underground rift, sending up a long trail of dazzling sparks.
The no. 99 double-section armored train, like a black beast that had just gorged on blood, forced its way into this vast and chaotic underground hub with an overbearing sense of oppression.
This was the City of Sin, the black market platform.
There was no sunlight, only the intricate, massive pipes overhead and a few flickering, dim searchlights.
The air was thick with the pungent smell of machine oil, the acrid scent of blood, and the musty stench of a place that had never seen the sun.
Looking around, the densely packed tracks were filled with various survival trains.
Most of them were dilapidated green-skinned carriages; some had their windows nailed shut with wooden planks, while others still had dried monster viscera hanging on their hulls.
In contrast, Lin Feng's two-section train, covered entirely in heavy black armor with even the bulletproof glass gleaming with a cold, eerie luster, stood out like a crane among chickens.
The train had just come to a stop.
The noisy clamor of the black market was instantly cut off as if by an invisible hand.
Deathly silence.
Immediately after, countless pairs of eyes hidden in the dark corners stared over in unison.
These gazes were interwoven with undisguised greed, jealousy, vigilance, and bloodthirsty killing intent.
In the apocalypse, a brand-new armored train meant a massive fortune that could drive anyone completely mad.
"Click."
Under the gaze of thousands, the heavy armored side door of Train No. 99 slowly slid open to both sides.
Heavy military boots stepped onto the platform stained with dark red grime.
Lin Feng was the first to step out of the carriage.
He was still wearing that thin black jacket, his posture tall and straight, like a javelin.
His deep, cold black eyes swept across the surroundings with the indifference of a superior looking down upon ants.
In his eyes, this group of vicious desperadoes was nothing more than a bunch of bugs that could be crushed at any moment.
Following closely, two graceful figures walked out from the shadows behind Lin Feng, one on his left and one on his right.
When they were fully exposed to the dim, yellow lights of the black market.
A chorus of synchronized gasps erupted around them, followed by the sound of "gulping" as people swallowed their saliva.
Too beautiful.
So beautiful that it was out of place in this dirty, foul-smelling apocalyptic wasteland.
On the left was Su Ya.
She wore a barely clean white shirt on her upper body, the collar casually open, revealing her delicate collarbones and a large expanse of snow-white, delicate skin.
On her lower body, she wore tight black shorts, perfectly showcasing her straight, slender jade legs.
As a First-Order Succubus, the surging fire magic within her body kept her skin glowing with an alluring, faint red hue.
A pair of ice-blue horns on her head swirled with dark red magic patterns, and a slender demon tail swayed slightly behind her.
Proud and cold, she was like a queen who controlled flames.
On the right was Xia Wanqiu.
She was draped in a large black trench coat, but inside, she wore only a few pieces of undergarments barely pieced together from mutant beast hide.
As she walked, the hem of the trench coat fluttered, revealing her rounded, perky buttocks and slender waist.
Her pink peach-blossom eyes rippled with emotion, and the corners of her eyes carried a natural, enchanting charm.
She clung tightly to Lin Feng's side, her heart-shaped demon tail even wrapping unscrupulously around his calf, making no attempt to hide her absolute attachment and possessiveness toward this man.
In this black market where even a sip of clean water was hard to come by, the vast majority of women were long starved to the point of being unrecognizable, covered in dirt, and willing to sell their bodies for half a piece of moldy bread.
Yet, these two women before them had supple, glowing skin, hot and voluptuous figures, and even exuded a sweet, faint fragrance that made one's bones go soft.
This was simply a miracle in the apocalypse!
"Gulp..."
On the edge of the black market, a few emaciated vagrants stared fixedly at the fair thighs Xia Wanqiu revealed, their eyes almost popping out.
The fully armed mercenaries and thugs had burning fires of lust ignited in their eyes.
"Top-tier... This is what you call a woman!"
"Who is that guy? Why does he get to have such goods? I'll blow his brains out with one shot, and these two women will belong to me!"
Low curses and lewd discussions spread through the crowd.
In this place without law, stunning beauty, if not protected by matching force, was the deadliest death warrant.
Sensing the aggressive gazes all around, Su Ya and Xia Wanqiu both frowned simultaneously.
"A bunch of disgusting bugs."
Su Ya snorted coldly and slightly spread her fair fingers.
"Boom!"
A ball of orange-red flame suddenly shot up half a meter high in her palm.
The terrifying high temperature of the First-Order Succubus instantly distorted the air, forcing several thugs who were too close and trying to take advantage to retreat repeatedly, their hair scorched.
Xia Wanqiu was even more direct.
A cold glint flashed in her pink eyes, and a layer of pale frost instantly formed on the metal platform beneath her feet, with bone-chilling cold air spreading in all directions.
One ice, one fire.
Two terrifying magical energy fluctuations belonging to First-Order powerhouses were released without reservation!
The surrounding clamor was instantly suppressed.
Those desperadoes who had originally been blinded by desire were like people having a basin of ice water poured over their heads, the lewdness in their eyes instantly replaced by terror.
First-Order powerhouses!
And there were two of them!
In the current wasteland, ninety-nine percent of survivors were not yet ranked.
A First-Order powerhouse was an overlord wherever they went.
Who could have imagined that these two delicate, stunning beauties were actually ruthless experts who killed without blinking!
What was even more terrifying to think about was that these two First-Order queens were actually, like stars surrounding the moon, respectfully crowding around the expressionless young man in black in the middle.
What kind of monster was this man?
Just as the crowd in the black market was deterred by the might of Su Ya and Xia Wanqiu and dared not act rashly.
In the back of the crowd, several men wearing dark red leather armor exchanged glances.
They stared fixedly at the two-section armored train, then looked at the blood-red wanted poster on their communication panel, a flash of wild joy appearing in their eyes.
"It's him! The build, the armor, and the two subordinates—one ice, one fire. It all matches!"
"We're rich! Fifty liters of water, five hundred catties of meat!"
One of them, a one-eyed man, suddenly put his fingers into his mouth.
"Whew!!!"
A sharp, piercing assembly whistle instantly tore through the silence of the black market, echoing through the intricate pipes.
This whistle was like a spark thrown into a frying pan.
"Clatter!"
From behind the abandoned containers around the black market, on the steel beams at the high points, and under the dilapidated train carriages.
Dozens of fully armed thugs poured out in an instant!
These people were all wearing uniform dark red leather armor, with a dripping blood gear symbol embroidered on their chests.
Iron Blood Society!
The other survivors who were still watching, upon seeing this symbol, screamed and fled in all directions, fearing they would be dragged into the firefight about to break out.
In the City of Sin, the Iron Blood Society was the law; if you offended them, you wouldn't even know how you died.
