7: Chapter 7 Li Jiayanzhong, Learning Talisman Making

Hidden Dragon Island. When Li Luochen returned to Qianlong Valley, he saw another youth in the valley and couldn't help but feel joy; the Family had grown a bit stronger again.

Li Yanlong and the others breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Li Luochen return safely.

"Greetings, Family Head!"

Li Luochen smiled and said, "No need for such formalities, everyone stand up. Who is this little fellow?"

Li Yanlong introduced, "Family Head, this is the youngest son of the Ninth Uncle. He has Three Spirit Roots Aptitude. According to the generation names, he should be called Li Yanzhong."

"Yanzhong, come quickly and pay your respects to the Family Head."

The six-year-old child glanced cautiously at Li Luochen and hurriedly bowed, saying, "Greetings, Family Head."

Li Luochen smiled and said, "So it's the son of the Ninth Brother. There's no need to be so formal. From now on, you are a Cultivator of our Qianlong Li Family. Remember to respect your elders, unite with your kin, and never harm your fellow clan members."

Li Yanzhong quickly said respectfully, "Yes, Family Head."

Li Luochen nodded with satisfaction and said, "Mm, very good. From now on, you will Cultivate with Li Yanlong."

"Li Yanlong, next, besides looking after the Spirit Fields, I will be pushing for a Breakthrough to Qi Refining Stage 6. I'll leave the Family matters to you."

Li Yanlong quickly said, "Family Head, please Cultivate with peace of mind. Leave the Family matters to me."

In reality, there wouldn't be much to do in the Family. The industries were all within the valley, and they didn't need to go out. They only needed to look after the Spirit Fields every day and Cultivate well.

As for teaching Li Yanzhong, that was even less of a problem. He had already taught Li Yanfeng, Li Changfeng, and the others, so he was quite familiar with the process.

Li Luochen nodded with satisfaction, took out Spirit Stones and Medicinal Pills, and distributed their annual stipends.

As for Li Yanzhong, who hadn't started Cultivating yet, Li Luochen only gave him one Spirit Stone.

Don't look down on one Spirit Stone as being very little; that was because Li Yanzhong hadn't entered the path of Cultivation yet. This Spirit Stone could speed up his progress to Qi Refining Level 1.

Li Yanlong and the others were very excited after receiving the Medicinal Pills and Spirit Stones. Although this year's harvest had all been spent on buying high-quality Medicinal Pills for them with nothing left over, these Medicinal Pills were enough for them to Cultivate for a long time.

At the very least, after refining these Medicinal Pills, someone among them would definitely be able to Breakthrough a layer in their cultivation.

"Thank you, Family Head!"

Li Luochen waved his hand and said, "Alright, everyone go back and Cultivate. In a few days, turn over the Spirit Fields and plant the Spirit Rice."

"By the way, I've purchased a hundred Spirit Gathering Soil Fusing Talismans. They should be enough to open up the remaining fifteen mu of Spirit Fields. Next year, we can have an additional twenty mu of ordinary Spirit Field income."

Hearing Li Luochen's words, the smiles on the faces of the Li Family's Cultivators grew even wider.

Fifty mu of ordinary Spirit Fields would yield seven hundred and fifty Spirit Stones every year. Just thinking about it was exciting.

Having Spirit Stones meant having a large amount of high-quality Medicinal Pills, which could quickly increase one's cultivation.

Seeing their happy expressions, Li Luochen smiled softly and walked directly towards the edge of the ordinary Spirit Fields.

The soil at the edge of the ordinary Spirit Fields already had wisps of Spiritual Qi, but it was still a bit short for planting Spirit Rice.

After using five Spirit Gathering Soil Fusing Talismans, one mu of ordinary Spirit Field was completely formed.

By the time the seventy-five Spirit Gathering Soil Fusing Talismans were used up, the final fifteen mu of ordinary Spirit Fields were also finished.

Twenty mu of First-Order Low Grade Spirit Fields and fifty mu of ordinary ones were the limit of what could be opened. If they continued to open more Spirit Fields, it would damage the Spiritual Vein.

Even so, they would no longer be able to use the Spiritual Vein's Spiritual Qi to Cultivate and would have to rely on Spirit Stones and Medicinal Pills.

A First-Order Low Grade Spiritual Vein could support the Cultivation of Cultivators in the lower three layers of Qi Refining, but it was insufficient for someone like Li Luochen at Qi Refining Stage 5.

However, he didn't dare to upgrade the Spiritual Vein, or it would surely attract covetous eyes, and then the trouble would be great.

Now, the Spirit Fields within the Family were still usable, and the family farming reward system could still be used, so maintaining his own Cultivation was not a problem.

Then the next step was to Cultivate well and, in passing, research the production of blank talisman paper and talisman making.

But for now, farming and increasing cultivation were the priorities.

Half a month later, the Spiritual Qi of the ordinary Spirit Fields stabilized, and Li Luochen and the others began planting.

Another two months passed, and the Spiritual Qi of the First-Order Low Grade Spirit Fields had also mostly recovered. Li Luochen and the others planted Spirit Rice again.

In two and a half months, first, Li Yanzhong, with his Three Spirit Roots talent, successfully drew Qi into his body and became a Qi Refining Level 1 Cultivator.

Next was Li Yanlong, who, through continuous hard work in Cultivation, successfully broke through to Qi Refining Level 4.

Finally, the production of blank talisman paper was successful. With the Talisman Making Manual, Li Luochen and the others turned all the straw into talisman paper, and the success rate was very high.

The straw produced from one mu of Spirit Field made thirty dozen blank talisman papers for First-Order Low Grade Spirit Talismans. Twenty mu made six hundred dozen, which was equivalent to six hundred Spirit Stones.

No wonder some forces would buy straw. If one only sold straw for Spirit Stones, selling it for five Spirit Stones per mu would be very good, and twenty mu would only be a hundred Spirit Stones.

But now, they could actually sell it for six hundred Spirit Stones; this was six times the income.

Six hundred dozen blank talisman papers was not a small amount, equivalent to six thousand blank talisman papers. If a Talisman Maker refined them into Spirit Talismans, they would definitely make a fortune.

Unfortunately, the Li Family didn't have a Talisman Maker. Li Luochen had collected many fragments of Talisman Maker classics.

But fragments were called fragments because the content within them was incomplete.

Even so, Li Luochen planned to give it a try.

When he spoke of his idea, the Li Family members did not object; instead, they were very supportive.

If they could really turn these talisman papers into Spirit Talismans, wouldn't they earn even more?

Being able to turn this straw into talisman paper was already an unexpected gain. If a Talisman Maker could emerge in the Family, it would be a huge profit.

With the support of his clansmen, Li Luochen began to study the Talisman Making fragments, as well as that Fireball Talisman production method and insights.

Half a month later, Li Luochen officially began drawing his first Fireball Talisman.

He hadn't expected to succeed, but the first Fireball Talisman was a success.

Although the spiritual energy fluctuations contained within were only equivalent to Qi Refining Level 1, it was indeed a success.

This result made Li Luochen very happy. Feeling that he had a great talent for being a Talisman Maker, he began his journey into talisman making.

However, the second, the third, all the way to the sixth were failures. The seventh was barely a success, and its effect wasn't even as good as the first one.

In the following days, Li Luochen read those Talisman Making classic fragments every day, recorded his own talisman making insights, and began to perfect the Talisman Making classics.

Half a month later, twenty dozen blank talisman papers were consumed, and only thirty Fireball Talismans were successful. The success rate was quite touching.

However, among these thirty-two Fireball Talismans, only two had an attack power equivalent to Qi Refining Layer 2.

Even so, Li Luochen was very happy.

Although the quality of these Spirit Talismans was not great, if they were sold in those small markets, they could still be sold for thirty-four Spirit Stones. Overall, it wasn't a loss.

At the same time, based on his successful experience, Li Luochen also wrote down his own talisman making methods and insights.

Moreover, the success rate was slowly improving, though it was just that he couldn't draw a Fireball Talisman with an attack power equivalent to Qi Refining Level 3.

Over the next six months, Li Luochen was very busy with Cultivating, making talismans, and looking after the Spirit Fields, hardly managing Family affairs at all.

The results were quite pleasing. First was his cultivation, which was only one step away from Qi Refining Stage 6. Second was the Spirit Fields, which were growing well. Finally, there was the production of Fireball Talismans: six thousand blank talisman papers had produced eight hundred and thirty-one Fireball Talismans.
