Chapter 113: The Hungry Street VII
Chapter 113: 113: The Hungry Street VII ---Bat Bat watched with wide eyes.
Then she licked her lips.
"Bat Bat hungry," she whispered.
Sekhmet glanced at her. "Feed," he said.
Bat Bat squealed in joy. "Yes!"
She hopped down and bit a thug’s wrist.
Chomp.
The thug screamed, then tried to push her away, but Bat Bat flared her wings and slapped his face.
Smack!
"Stay!" Bat Bat ordered like she was a queen.
The thug froze, confused by the tiny authority.
Bat Bat drank, cheeks puffing slightly, then stopped and backed away.
"Good," she said, proud of her self-control. "Bat Bat not kill."
Sekhmet’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"She learned that from me," he thought. "Or maybe from Elena."
The six rare bats descended too, each taking a victim, feeding briefly, then moving to another. They were disciplined. They did not frenzy.
They were minions.
They obeyed the master’s command.
Sekhmet opened the void land gate again.
Fwoom...
Auri stepped out.
She moved like a knife being drawn from a sheath — smooth, calm, deadly.
Her wings remained concealed under her cloak, but her posture still carried that quiet pressure.
She looked at the broken room. She looked at the beaten men. She looked at Sekhmet’s blood-streaked mouth.
Then her eyes sharpened.
"Master," she said softly.
Sekhmet nodded. "Feed on them," he ordered.
"Thank you master." Auri did not hesitate.
She stepped to a man whose battle power still flickered strong despite injury, grabbed him by the hair, tilted his head, and bit his neck cleanly.
Chomp.
The man gasped.
Auri’s eyes closed briefly as she drank. She stopped before he died. She pulled away, wiped her mouth with her sleeve, and exhaled slowly.
Her expression remained calm, but something inside her energy settled, as if she had finally satisfied a need she had been holding back.
Bat Bat stared at her with suspicion.
"Auri bite," Bat Bat muttered.
Auri glanced at Bat Bat.
"Yes," she replied.
Bat Bat nodded seriously.
"Good," she said. "Bat people drink blood."
Sekhmet rubbed his temples. His little team was growing stranger by the hour. He fed again. He worked through the room carefully.
By the time he finished, the men were alive, pale, shaking, groaning, but breathing.
Sekhmet stood still for a moment, letting his body absorb.
Ba - dum... Ba - dum...
His heartbeat slowed. His throat cooled.
The hunger eased. Not gone. Never gone.
But quiet enough that he could think properly. He turned slightly, ready to decide what to do with the survivors—
And the air shifted. Then footsteps.
Not many.
Three.
Tap... tap... tap...
The room’s survivors tensed in fear, their eyes widening.
Because they recognized that rhythm.
Raka is back.
Sekhmet’s posture stiffened slightly.
Bat Bat’s wings twitched.
Auri’s eyes sharpened.
The rare bats lifted higher, circling like silent knives.
And then Raka entered.
He stepped into the ruined torture chamber, eyes sweeping over the bodies, the blood, the broken rack, the scattered knives.
His expression changed. Not panicking. Not into fear. Into disbelief that quickly hardened into rage.
"What the fuck," Raka said softly.
The word was quiet. But it made the room feel colder.
His two strongest men stepped in behind him — both chaos rank one, both carrying battle power that pressed heavy on the air. They were almost chaos rank two. Only a step away.
Raka’s gaze locked onto Sekhmet. His smile was gone. His cup was gone. His boredom was gone.
"You," Raka said, voice flat as stone, "did this."
Sekhmet did not speak. He only stood there, calm, blood on his mouth, bats above, Auri at his side, Bat Bat staring like a tiny queen.
Raka’s eyes flicked to the bats.
To Auri.
To the void ripple still faintly lingering in the air.
Then his gaze returned to Sekhmet.
"You let yourself be dragged," Raka said slowly. "Just to find my nest."
Sekhmet’s lips curved faintly.
"Yes," he replied.
Raka’s jaw tightened. He moved without warning.
Boom!
His foot slammed forward, launching his body like a cannonball.
Sekhmet raised his arm to block, but the impact was monstrous.
Thud!
Sekhmet flew backward.
Crash!
His spine slammed into the wall. The stone cracked.
Crk — Crk!
Pain flashed through his ribs like lightning.
Bat Bat shrieked. "Aaah!"
Auri moved instantly. The six rare bats dove. The blood minion bats swarmed.
Fwoosh —Fwoosh— Fwoosh!
Raka’s two strongest men stepped forward, meeting them. Chaos energy flared in the air.
Boom — Boom!
The hideout became chaotic again.
Auri drew her claws out, cloak slipping back enough to reveal a hint of wing.
She struck the first strong thug with speed.
Slash!
He blocked with his forearm reinforced by chaos energy.
Clang!
Auri twisted, kicked low into the balls.
Thud!
The thug stumbled.
Bat Bat dove at his face.
Chomp!
The thug roared, trying to grab her.
"Little piece of shit!"
Bat Bat attacked again. Right into his eyes.
The thug screamed, blinded.
"Aaagh!"
Auri did not waste it.
She slammed her knee into his stomach.
Thud!
Then elbowed his jaw.
Crack!
He fell on the ground.
The second strong thug fought the rare bats like he had experience, swatting them away with a short blade that hummed with chaos energy.
Shing — Shing!
A rare bat’s claw scraped his shoulder.
Slash!
He roared and spun, cutting the air.
Whoosh!
One minion bat got clipped and burst into mist.
Pfft!
But more swarmed. The hideout echoed with wings and curses.
Fwoosh!
Strong thug two: "Get off!"
Strong thug two: "Kill them!"
Strong thug one: "My eyes hurt! I can’t see properly."
Meanwhile, Sekhmet pushed himself off the wall. His ribs hurt. His back burned. His hunger rose again from the pain.
But his mind stayed cold. He faced Raka.
Raka stood relaxed, not even breathing hard.
His battle power was pressure. His energy pressure felt like weight.
Sekhmet activated Blood Sword.
Blood gathered from the floor, from the men he had fed on, from the spilled mess.
It rose and formed a blade in his hand.
Shing...
A red sword. Beautiful and Deadly.
Sekhmet stepped forward and swung.
Slash!
