61: Chapter 61 100 Meters!

Jiang Ruoxue watched the increasing number of giants on the city wall and gave up on attacking directly.

"I will help you relieve some pressure."

After speaking, she plunged her longsword into the ground, and frost spread from the tip of her sword to both sides.

It seeped into the cracks of the stone bricks, forming a thin, smooth layer of ice on their surface.

When the giants climbed up, the ice shell was too slippery for them to get a grip.

A large group of giants lost their footing, slipped, and fell directly from the city wall, crashing onto the pile of corpses at the base of the wall, unable to get up again.

Qin Chuan slaughtered another five-meter-class giant and said, panting, "Miss Jiang's move is even more ruthless than killing giants; it keeps them from even coming up."

But suddenly, a fast-moving figure rushed out from among the giants; the Speed Titan had arrived.

Its movement trajectory was different from the other giants; it was not climbing vertically, but running along the city wall.

Its sharp claws embedded into the cracks of the stone bricks, pinning it to the wall like nails, and the ice shell had almost no effect on it.

Its sharp claws carved deep furrows into the ice surface, sending ice chips flying.

It charged toward Jiang Ruoxue's direction.

Jiang Ruoxue saw it.

She wanted to retreat, but her frost was still being maintained, so she could not withdraw immediately.

The Speed Titan's distance shortened rapidly: three hundred meters, two hundred meters, one hundred meters.

Qin Chuan rushed over, his short blade hacking toward the Speed Titan's head.

The Speed Titan dodged by tilting its head and swept its sharp claws, sending Qin Chuan flying, crashing into the wall of the arrow tower, and a mouthful of blood gushed from his mouth.

Shen Xin's golden healing light immediately fell upon Qin Chuan, and his broken ribs slowly reset within the golden light.

The Speed Titan continued to charge toward Jiang Ruoxue.

Lin Yan rushed over from the side, his nearly twenty-six-meter body sprinting at full speed along the city wall.

He charged his right fist, and the dark red light of Blood Burning Strike lit up on his fist.

The Speed Titan sensed the threat, and its body turned sharply while moving at high speed, but its weakness was exposed.

The Speed Titan could only run in a straight line when running at high speed; its speed would drop sharply when turning, exposing its side.

Lin Yan seized this moment.

His fist smashed into the Speed Titan's side ribs.

The bone spurs pierced through the muscles, punctured the lungs, and exited from the other side.

The Speed Titan's body stiffened abruptly, its limbs scraped frantically against the wall a few times, and then it fell from the city wall.

But it did not die.

The Speed Titan crashed at the base of the wall, struggling to stand up, with a fist-sized hole in its left ribcage, and dark red bodily fluid gushing out from the hole.

Its limbs were still moving, attempting to climb again.

Jiang Ruoxue finally freed up her hands.

She pulled up the longsword stuck in the ground, pointing the tip at the Speed Titan below the wall.

An ice-blue beam of light shot from the sword tip, accurately striking the Speed Titan.

Ice crystals exploded on its body, spreading inward from the wound, freezing its muscles until they became brittle and hard.

The Speed Titan's struggling movements became slower and slower, until they finally stopped completely.

Qin Chuan climbed up from the ground, walked to the edge of the city wall, looked at the frozen corpse below, and spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva.

"Ran fast, died fast too."

Lin Yan stood at the edge of the city wall, scanning below.

There were still a large number of ordinary giants on the slope, having already reached the foot of the city wall and were climbing up.

He jumped directly from the city wall.

His twenty-six-meter body crashed into the crowd of giants, and upon landing, he slammed his fists into the ground, the shockwave sending several surrounding giants flying.

Lin Yan stood straight, swinging both arms, his fists smashing into the giants like a machine gun.

At this moment, some Awakened noticed this side.

"Holy crap, what's up with that guy? How did he get so big without me noticing?"

"Is this his talent? It's too terrifying; he's bigger than most of the giants."

"Even though he's become so big, can he handle it by charging straight into the pile of giants? There are so many giants down there."

Lin Yan did not speak, simply swinging his fists relentlessly.

One punch, and the skull of a ten-meter-class giant shattered.

One punch, and the chest of another fifteen-meter-class giant caved in.

...

Except for elite giants like the Armored Titan, Speed Titan, and Strength Titan, which caused him some trouble and required more effort.

His body continued to expand on the battlefield; muscle fibers became tougher through tearing and regeneration, and bones grew denser osseous tissue within tiny cracks.

The blood vessels under his skin were like dark red rivers, with blood surging through them.

On the city wall, Qin Chuan leaned out halfway to look down, seeing Lin Yan in the crowd of giants like a humanoid meat grinder; wherever his fists passed, corpses of giants fell all over the ground.

"The boss is... killing like a maniac," Qin Chuan muttered.

"Miss Jiang, please, could you send me over there?" Shen Xin said, pointing at Lin Yan.

Jiang Ruoxue didn't ask why and directly condensed an ice slide.

Shen Xin slid down and shouted excitedly, "Boss, I'm here to help you."

Lin Yan jumped up to catch her and placed her on his shoulder.

"It's very dangerous."

Shen Xin stuck out her tongue, "It was too far just now, I couldn't heal you."

"Then hold on tight."

Shen Xin grabbed the equipment on Lin Yan's shoulder, her hands glowing with golden light, ready to heal Lin Yan at any time.

From then on, Lin Yan's health bar barely dropped; his HP remained stable within the healthy zone.

The battle continued until noon.

The sun rose from the east to overhead, illuminating the corpses above and below the city wall with exceptional clarity.

Dark red bodily fluids dried on the ground, turning into dark brown patches.

The air was filled with the smell of rust, blood, and the sulfur smell of gunpowder, mixed together like some stomach-churning seasoning.

The corpses of the giants piled up into a small mountain at the base of the city wall.

Of the nearly nine hundred mechs, nearly fifty were lost.

Some had their skeletons dismantled by giants, with muscle fibers scattered everywhere.

Some had their cockpits smashed, the pilots no longer breathing, still sitting in their seats with their hands gripping the control levers.

He Chen's "iron spine" was still standing.

Its outer shell was covered in cracks and claw marks, a large chunk of muscle fibers on its left arm had been torn away, exposing the grey-white bone inside.

On the hills in the distance, those massive outlines began to retreat in an orderly fashion, like a well-trained army relocating its position.

Qin Chuan walked to his feet, looked up at him, his neck tilted to the limit.

"Boss," he said, "You are the true giant, bigger than all the giants."

Lin Yan did not respond; he did not hear.
