33: Chapter 33 Liu Erlong's Arrangements, Su Ling Unleashes the Soul Bone

Inside Liu Erlong's wooden house! Seeing Su Ling return so quickly, Liu Erlong asked curiously: "Su Ling, didn't you say it would take at least a month? How did you finish so quickly?"

Su Ling said: "It was faster than expected. If Sister Liu feels it's too soon, you can wait a while and come to Soto City yourself. Shrek Academy is quite easy to find."

He certainly wanted to go back early; after all, the three beauties at home were still waiting for him to build up their favorability.

It would be best if Liu Erlong returned to Shrek with him. At their normal travel speed, he would have about twenty days to grind Liu Erlong's favorability.

It would be best to get her favorability up to sixty by the time they returned to Shrek!

After all, a 10% cultivation boost every day from a level 75 Spirit Saint was very promising!

"Wait for me for an hour. I need to arrange some things within the academy." Liu Erlong thought for a moment and immediately made her decision.

"Alright! Sister Liu, go ahead and get busy. I'll wait for you here." Su Ling replied.

After Liu Erlong left, Su Ling opened the System interface.

Liu Erlong's favorability had already reached 29 points.

Over these past few days, Su Ling had been thinking about a problem regarding goddess favorability.

If a goddess had someone she already liked, the favorability growth rate would be very slow.

If the goddess had a falling out with the person she liked, the favorability growth rate would increase.

A typical example was Zhu Zhuqing, who had experienced a falling out. Xiao Wu was the lowest among the three beauties, at only 21 points, because she already had Tang San in her heart.

As for Ning Rongrong, her favorability had already reached 37 points. Ning Rongrong was born into one of the Upper Three Sects, was well-traveled, and had been showered with affection since childhood.

She wasn't stupid; she knew what kind of partner she should look for.

At the beginning, Su Ling had failed to absorb a spirit ring, and his Water Moon Bow Spirit was also quite ordinary, so even if she liked him, the Sect would not agree.

In the original story, if it weren't for Oscar's sixth Spirit Ability giving him immense combat capability, it's unlikely they would have ended up together.

However, even so, Ning Rongrong's favorability had increased to thirty-seven points, and it had improved significantly after Su Ling's Spirit evolved.

The System is making me pick up a hoe and dig into someone else's foundation!

While thinking, Su Ling looked at the treasure chests he possessed.

Remaining unopened chests: white * 82, yellow * 19, purple * 9.

He had accumulated nine purple treasure chests again.

"System, exchange ten yellow treasure chests for one purple treasure chest, then exchange the purple treasure chests for a black treasure chest."

[Ding... Consumed 10 yellow treasure chests and 9 purple treasure chests, obtained black treasure chest * 1]

Very good, he had collected another black treasure chest!

"System, open the black treasure chest!"

[Ding... Opened black treasure chest, congratulations to the host for obtaining a 50,000-year Spirit Bone * 1]

It was actually a Spirit Bone, with a 50,000-year age!

What type was it?

With a thought, the attributes of the Spirit Bone were revealed.

A 50,000-year right arm bone, the type was Gem-class!

Who could use this?

Su Ling certainly couldn't use it, and Liu Erlong and Huo Wu were both fire-attribute, so they couldn't either. What about Zhu Zhuqing, Xiao Wu, and Ning Rongrong?

Right, didn't Ning Rongrong need a Gem-class Spirit Bone?

Since Su Ling couldn't use it, he would use it to invest in a goddess.

He didn't know how much favorability it would give him.

The value of this Spirit Bone was extremely high. If Ning Fengzhi of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School knew about it, he would definitely find a way to obtain it, and trading it for millions of gold coins wouldn't be a problem.

However, gold coins were not important to Su Ling right now; the most critical thing was being able to grind up the goddess's favorability.

Having nothing to do, Su Ling continued: "System, exchange eighty white treasure chests for yellow treasure chests."

[Ding... Consumed 80 white treasure chests, obtained yellow treasure chest * 8]

After the exchange, Su Ling had 17 yellow treasure chests.

"Continue, exchange one purple treasure chest for me, then open the purple treasure chest and the remaining 7 yellow treasure chests."

[Ding... Opened purple treasure chest, congratulations to the host for obtaining Intermediate Soul Power pill * 2 bottles]

"Oh, not bad, good stuff."

[Intermediate Soul Power pill: Best effect for Spirit Elder, next best for Spirit Ancestor, not very useful for Spirit King.]

"It seems I can use it too."

[Ding... Opened yellow treasure chest * 7, congratulations to the host for obtaining gold coin * 5000, primary spirit power pill * 3 bottles, healing pill * 1 bottle, hundred-refined steel saber * 2, top-grade perfume * 10 bottles]

"Is that it?"

"Five types of items, some must have been duplicates."

After all, Su Ling had previously only opened one bottle of primary spirit power pill from a single yellow treasure chest, but this time there were 3 bottles.

The reason Su Ling wanted to open these yellow and purple treasure chests now was for no other reason than that he wanted to go back and slowly grind the goddesses' favorability.

As for the immortal herbs, Su Ling changed his mind; he couldn't give them immediately upon returning. He had to take it step by step and bring them out when it became very difficult to increase favorability.

Just like saving good things to use when breaking through.

The primary spirit power pills and Intermediate Soul Power pills were exactly what they needed right now, and crucially, there were 10 bottles of perfume; he didn't know if giving them away would have any effect.

After Su Ling opened the treasure chests, only two white treasure chests remained in the System.

...

An hour later, Liu Erlong returned and tidied up briefly, then the two left Heaven Dou City.

Just not long after leaving Heaven Dou City, Su Ling stopped.

"Sister Liu, wait a moment. Let me change my clothes; the road back is long, and it can be used for cultivation." Su Ling said.

"Alright, go ahead." Liu Erlong said calmly.

Watching Su Ling hide in the forest, a smile appeared on Liu Erlong's face, and she thought: This little guy is so talented, and he doesn't forget to Cultivate even while traveling. Very good.

[Ding... Liu Erlong favorability + 1, obtained white treasure chest + 1]

Who doesn't like an enterprising junior? Liu Erlong was no exception!

In a short while, Su Ling came out wearing a full set of weighted gear!

"This is?"

"Weighted training?" Liu Erlong asked curiously. She saw that Su Ling had added some equipment to his body, and it looked quite heavy!

Su Ling stretched his body and said: "Yes, but this set of weights seems a bit light. It's a pity that Soto City doesn't have better Materials!"

If it were before the Ice and Fire Body Refining, the weight of the equipment on Su Ling's body would have been enough; at least it would have been useful for cultivation on the way back!

But after the Ice and Fire Body Refining, Su Ling found that this weight seemed to be insufficient!

Liu Erlong asked: "How much weight is this?"

"About 190 kilograms or more!"

"This is not enough?" Liu Erlong said in surprise. Is this the kind of body a Spirit Ancestor should have?

190 kilograms—honestly, an ordinary person with a good physique could carry this much, let alone a Spirit Ancestor. But what Spirit Ancestor could be so relaxed under this weight?

These weights seemed to have no weight at all on Su Ling's body; he was not affected in the slightest. That was quite impressive!

"As expected of a body that can absorb a ten-thousand-year fourth spirit ring. Very good!"

"Since you find it light now, how about this? Take off your weights, and I'll find someone to help you rebuild them and add some weight!" Liu Erlong said!

"Thank you, Sister Liu. I'll pay for the cost!" Su Ling said!

After speaking, Su Ling went to take off the weighted gear.

"You don't need to pay. I can still afford this bit of gold coins. You thought quite thoroughly about the placement of these weights; it must be the Materials that limited the weight! How heavy do you want them to be when rebuilt?" Liu Erlong asked!

Su Ling said: "For cultivation, naturally the heavier the better. The clothes can be increased to 200 kilograms, each hand to 50 kilograms, and the legs can be increased to 80 kilograms!"

"Are you sure? The total weight adds up to 460 kilograms?" Liu Erlong said in surprise!

Su Ling said: "Certain. If possible, adding it up to a total of 500 kilograms is also fine!"

"Alright, then that's fine. Since that's the case, let's go back to Heaven Dou City first. This time when we go to Shrek, I also want to bring a few people and let them wear this set of weights together!"

Liu Erlong looked at Su Ling's equipment; she really couldn't bear to look at those few in the academy! The gap was simply too big! They must have special training!

"That works, just follow what you said, Sister Liu!" Su Ling said!

If there were no accidents, Liu Erlong would take Jiang Zhu, Huang Xuan, Jing Ling, and Tai Long!

Having one more goddess with them would also allow him to grind some more favorability—why not?

[Ding... Liu Erlong favorability + 3, white treasure chest + 2]

The two had only walked ten miles out of Heaven Dou City before returning again to Lanba Academy!

Su Ling rested in Liu Erlong's wooden house, while Liu Erlong took Su Ling's equipment and left, not returning until evening!

"Su Ling, did Boss Fu take you to Spirit Fighting? What was your record?" Liu Erlong asked suddenly!

"Twenty-six wins and forty-six losses!" Su Ling answered truthfully!

"How is that possible? With your strength, even a perfect record would be fine. With so many losses, did Boss Fu make you throw matches?" Liu Erlong asked angrily, thinking that Flender couldn't be like this just for gold coins!

Liu Erlong had misunderstood Flender, and Su Ling quickly explained: "No, before my Spirit evolved, my second and third Spirit Abilities were useless due to my spirit ring, which is why I had so many losses. I haven't participated in a single Spirit Fighting match since my Spirit evolved!"

"Then let's go Spirit Fighting now. I'll go place the bets!" Liu Erlong said seriously!

"Sister Liu, are the Materials for forging the equipment very expensive? I still have some gold coins here!"

"They are a bit lacking, but you don't need to pay. As long as you can win a few Spirit Fighting matches, it won't be a problem." Liu Erlong said!

She had agreed to forge the equipment for Su Ling, but those Materials were really too expensive!

If it were just adding about a hundred kilograms to the previous weight, that would be one thing, but to increase it to over five hundred kilograms, she had to switch to better Materials!

She only had about ten thousand gold coins, and she had given a portion of what she got from Su Ling earlier to the academy's finance office!

After all, she and Su Ling might be gone from the academy for several months, and the academy couldn't have any problems!

"Alright then, I'll go Spirit Fighting right now!" Su Ling said!

[Ding... Liu Erlong favorability + 1, obtained white treasure chest * 1]

This can also give favorability?

Then Su Ling was even more looking forward to the upcoming Spirit Fighting.

Winning the Spirit Fighting, surely Liu Erlong, who won the gold coins, would be very happy!

If she was happy, wouldn't there be a chance to increase her favorability?
