19: Chapter 19 Almonds: You Want to Live Off Me?
Cao Mo waited for about half an hour before Badanmu finally came out.
She had not only applied exquisite makeup but had also changed her clothes.
She wore a white short-sleeved T-shirt with large blue letters printed on it and black denim shorts.
"Why don't you cook at my place today? It saves you from having to travel all the way to yours," Badanmu said, looking at Cao Mo, who was slumped relaxedly on the sofa.
"Sure! My little dump really can't compare to your mansion," Cao Mo replied.
"Don't say that, as if I would despise your place," Badanmu said.
"Do you live in this huge house all by yourself?" Cao Mo asked.
"Not at all! My assistant, Xiaoxun, comes to stay occasionally, and there's also a housekeeper who lives here. Jiaqi also visits from time to time," Badanmu replied.
"Did you buy this house or rent it?" Cao Mo asked curiously.
"I bought it. I bought it this year—a second-hand property, paid for in full," Badanmu replied truthfully.
"You dare to buy a house in this market? You really are a wealthy woman. How much was this house?" Cao Mo continued to ask.
"It's alright. Property prices have dropped quite a bit. Buying the house and the car took all the money I've earned over the years, and I'm still paying off the car loan! I'm a 'debt-ridden woman' now," Badanmu said with a smile.
"You moved in right after buying it this year, so you didn't renovate it, right?" Cao Mo said, looking around.
"Yeah! The original owners were mostly abroad, so the house wasn't really lived in. The decor was all new. I just changed the sofa, the bed, and added a TV. I also soundproofed the master suite for Livestreaming. Actually, I got a bargain on this house. The previous owner was in a rush to sell due to financial issues but required full payment," Badanmu said.
"You're truly impressive! Such a big house, and you even bought a maybach. It's just that you have too many rooms; it's too empty and wasteful," Cao Mo said with a smile.
This world is really different from the original one! Is Princess Badanmu this capable?
"What? Do you want to move in?" Badanmu asked, looking at Cao Mo with a smile as well.
"Is that possible?" Cao Mo asked, blinking.
"Sure! If you want to live here, it's 50,000 in rent a month to help me recoup some funds," Badanmu joked.
"I don't have any money! Does this wealthy lady need a pendant on her thigh?" Cao Mo said.
"What's the matter, do you want to live off me?" Princess Badanmu asked with a smile.
"Am I qualified?" Cao Mo replied, picking up on the conversation.
"Your image is fine, your talents are fine, but it still depends on how your cooking is and whether you can capture my stomach," Badanmu said.
"Fine! Let's go buy groceries now, and I'll cook you a feast," Cao Mo said, standing up.
"Let's go!" Badanmu replied.
The two arrived at the entryway, and Cao Mo asked, "Should we take your maybach or my little e-bike?"
"Let's take your little e-bike! It's convenient! Yonghui is nearby," Badanmu replied.
"Yeah!"
The two went out and headed downstairs. Cao Mo took out his 1916s from his pocket, put one in his mouth, and then offered one to Badanmu.
Badanmu leaned in to take the cigarette with her mouth and then took out a lighter to light it for Cao Mo.
Cao Mo raised his hand to shield the flame, then looked at Badanmu as she lit it for him and said, "You should smoke less. It's best if you don't smoke at all. You should quit!"
"What? Do you not like smoking?" Badanmu asked.
"Yeah! Not really," Cao Mo said.
"Then what about you?" Badanmu retorted.
"I will definitely quit in the future too," Cao Mo said.
"Then when you quit, I'll quit," Badanmu replied with a smile.
"Alright! Get on," Cao Mo said, sitting on the e-bike.
"Do you know the way? I'll ride," Badanmu said.
"Okay, you ride then. I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it," Cao Mo immediately got off.
Badanmu immediately sat in the front and said, "As long as you don't mess around, I'll be able to handle it."
Cao Mo followed by lifting his long legs to straddle the back seat, then reminded her, "I meant the power is a bit intense! You need to be careful."
"OK! Don't underestimate me," Badanmu replied.
At this moment, Cao Mo reached out his hands, glanced at Badanmu's waist, and finally placed his hands on Badanmu's shoulders.
Feeling the hands on her shoulders, Badanmu felt relieved. She was really afraid that Cao Mo would immediately wrap his arms around her waist, in which case she wouldn't know whether to refuse or accept it.
"Should we call Jiaqi to join us for lunch?" Badanmu asked as she twisted the throttle to pull away.
"Jiaqi? You mean Chen Jiaqi, right?" Cao Mo confirmed.
"Yes, she has a good relationship with your boss at 798," Badanmu said.
"Then let's call her!" Cao Mo replied.
Sure enough, once you enter this circle, you can get to know people in it in all sorts of ways.
"What do you want to eat? You're from Sichuan Province, so how about I make you some Sichuan cuisine?" Cao Mo asked.
"There's no need to limit it to Sichuan cuisine; I'm fine with anything! I can accept any kind of food as long as it tastes good," Badanmu said.
"Alright!" Cao Mo replied.
Just then, Badanmu rode the e-bike out of the residential complex. When it went over a speed bump on a downhill slope, the e-bike jolted.
"Whoa!" Cao Mo cried out immediately, and following the jolt of the e-bike, he took the opportunity to wrap his arms around Badanmu's waist.
Badanmu's body stiffened when her waist was grabbed, and she immediately braked, then asked, "What are you doing!"
"I was afraid of falling off," Cao Mo defended himself.
"Bullshit! You did it on purpose!" Badanmu said.
"How was it on purpose? Am I that kind of person?" Cao Mo replied.
"Then let go!" Badanmu shouted.
"I've already wrapped my arms around you, what's wrong with keeping them there a bit longer? Let's go, time to buy groceries," Cao Mo said.
"..."
Badanmu was speechless at Cao Mo's shameless remark. She restarted the e-bike and drove toward the mall.
Cao Mo held Badanmu like that, smelling the fragrance of Badanmu's hair.
At this moment, Badanmu's heart was beating incredibly fast, but she didn't hate Cao Mo's behavior.
Through this action, Cao Mo also confirmed even more firmly just how much Badanmu liked him.
Of course, hugging like this was okay, but pushing his luck further would be impolite.
At this moment, Cao Mo couldn't help but feel a bit smug. It was only their second meeting, and he was already holding Badanmu's waist, and Badanmu had even accepted it. Plus, this wasn't during a Livestreaming session; he was way cooler than Brother Tong.
Although Cao Mo was mainly relying on his modeling.
But the person in front of him was Badanmu! One of the former Three Phantom Gods! She was even hailed by many as the head of the Three Phantom Gods.
The mall was less than 500 meters from Badanmu's place, so they arrived quickly.
"Have you hugged enough? We're here," Badanmu called out.
"Heh! How could I ever hug enough?" Cao Mo said with a smile, letting go and getting off the e-bike.
Badanmu then parked the e-bike, took two masks out of her bag, and handed one to Cao Mo.
"I'm just a small influencer; nobody really knows me, why would I need a mask?" Cao Mo said as he took the mask.
"Don't you think your face is very eye-catching? Your white hair is already attractive enough; do you want people to stare at you like a monkey?" Badanmu said.
"That makes sense!" Cao Mo replied.
