9: The Revenge of Black Wind Village and the Power of the Clairvoyance

The peaceful days did not last long.

News of the Liu Family members' cultivation advancements somehow reached Black Wind Stronghold.

This afternoon, at the height of the sun, the Family members in the courtyard had just finished Cultivating and were about to rest for a moment when a series of arrogant curses suddenly came from outside the courtyard gate.

"Old man Liu! Get out here and die!"

"Last time you all escaped, this time, let's see where you'll hide!"

The voice was hoarse and grating, carrying undisguised malice.

General Manager Liu Yuan and Liu Shan's expressions changed simultaneously, and they hurried to the door, with Mo Chu following closely, coiled at General Manager Liu Yuan's feet.

Outside the courtyard gate stood over a dozen Cultivators wielding swords and staffs, led by the burly man from Black Wind Stronghold who had been tricked at the last exchange meeting. Behind him was One-Eyed Dragon, his face scarred with a ferocious gash, his Aura even stronger than the burly man's – clearly another leader of Black Wind Stronghold.

"It's the people from Black Wind Stronghold! They're here for revenge!" Liu Zhi gripped the iron sword in his hand, his face pale.

General Manager Liu Yuan frowned deeply and said in a low voice, "What do you want?"

One-Eyed Dragon sneered, his triangular eye sweeping over the people in the courtyard with a hint of disdain: "What do we want? Last time you all stole the blood leaf orchid and injured my Stronghold brothers. This debt, it's time to settle it today!"

"The blood leaf orchid was obtained by our own skill, you just carelessly dropped it!" Liu Shan roared.

"By skill?" The burly man scoffed, "In this Qingmang Mountain Range, my fist is skill! If you're smart, hand over all the Spiritual Plants, Medicinal Pills, and that little black snake you've acquired these past few days. Then, have old man Liu cripple his own cultivation, and perhaps I might spare your lives!"

"Dream on!" General Manager Liu Yuan roared, his spiritual power circulating within him, releasing the Aura of a third-level Qi Refining Cultivator, "If you want to touch anyone from my Liu Family, you'll have to get past this old man's wooden staff first!"

"Third-level Qi Refining?" One-Eyed Dragon sounded as if he had heard a joke, "Just you? Attack! Take them all down. Cripple the men and bring the women back to the Stronghold!"

"Yes!" The dozen or so Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators immediately drew their swords and charged forward.

"Fight them to the death!" Liu Shan shouted, leading the charge with his sword. Liu Zhi and the other Family members also picked up their weapons, and despite their fear, not a single one retreated.

For a moment, the courtyard was filled with the glint of blades and swords, and the booming sounds of clashing spiritual power rose and fell.

Although the Liu Family members' cultivation had improved, they were still a step behind the fierce bandits of Black Wind Stronghold. Before long, two young men were knocked to the ground, spitting blood.

"Father!" Liu Zhi saw his father, Liu Shan, being steadily pushed back by One-Eyed Dragon, and his heart was filled with anxiety. In a moment of Divided Soul, a Black Wind Stronghold Cultivator seized the opportunity and slashed his arm with a sword, and blood instantly stained his sleeve.

"Zhi'er!" Liu Shan exclaimed, his mind in chaos, giving One-Eyed Dragon a chance to kick him to the ground.

"Hahaha, pathetic!" One-Eyed Dragon sneered, stepping on Liu Shan's chest, "Old man Liu, do you see? This is the consequence of resistance!"

General Manager Liu Yuan's eyes were bloodshot, but he was firmly entangled by the burly man and couldn't break free.

Just as One-Eyed Dragon was about to deliver a killing blow to Liu Shan, a cold light flashed in Mo Chu's eyes.

Now!

He did not charge at One-Eyed Dragon but instead darted towards the left side of the courtyard—where some stone locks, used by the Family members for daily Cultivation, were piled.

Before anyone could react, Mo Chu channeled all his strength and swung his tail forcefully!

A stone lock weighing dozens of pounds, as if pushed by an invisible hand, flew with a whistling sound, accurately smashing into the back of One-Eyed Dragon's head!

All this happened in a flash. One-Eyed Dragon, caught up in his arrogance, had no idea of the danger behind him.

"Bang!"

With a dull thud, One-Eyed Dragon let out a scream, his vision went black, and he fell straight down, unconscious.

The entire scene instantly fell silent.

Everyone stared, dumbfounded, at the small black snake and the stone lock at its feet.

No one had expected that the one to turn the tide of the battle would be this seemingly insignificant little black snake!

"Second Boss!" The Black Wind Stronghold members cried out in alarm.

Liu Shan seized the opportunity to push One-Eyed Dragon away, scrambling to get clear.

Mo Chu did not stop. His Spirit Vision talent was in full operation at this moment, and the spiritual power flow and movement trajectories of everyone around him were clearly presented before his eyes.

He saw a Black Wind Stronghold Cultivator preparing to ambush Liu Zhi and immediately hissed in that direction, simultaneously pointing his tail at him.

Liu Zhi instinctively turned his head, narrowly avoiding the fatal blow, and with a backhand sword thrust, he stabbed the opponent's arm.

"Thanks, Mo Chu!"

With Mo Chu's "warning," the Liu Family members' pressure was greatly reduced. Although Mo Chu could not directly participate in the battle, he was like the most precise commander, always reminding the Family members to avoid danger at critical moments, and even finding weaknesses in the enemy.

"This snake is strange!" The burly man also noticed something was amiss and roared, wanting to deal with Mo Chu first.

But how could General Manager Liu Yuan let him succeed? The old man unleashed unprecedented power, firmly entangling the burly man, his wooden staff weaving an impenetrable defense.

"Stop that snake!" The remaining Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators reacted and surrounded Mo Chu.

Mo Chu was agile, weaving through the crowd and constantly using the terrain to evade. His Spirit Vision could predict the opponent's movements in advance, allowing him to narrowly avoid attacks several times, which in turn caused several Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators to collide with each other.

"Useless! You can't even catch a snake!" The entangled burly man roared in anger.

Just then, Liu Shan recovered, picked up the sword on the ground, and shouted, "For the Family! Kill!"

He, along with Liu Zhi and the remaining Family members, charged forward again as if injected with a stimulant.

Having lost One-Eyed Dragon's command and being thrown into disarray by Mo Chu, the Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators gradually fell into a disadvantage.

"Retreat!" Seeing the situation was unfavorable, the burly man made a decisive move, feigning an attack to force back General Manager Liu Yuan, then turned and ran. The remaining Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators, seeing this, also scattered and fled.

"Don't let them escape!" Liu Shan shouted.

"Don't pursue a cornered enemy." General Manager Liu Yuan stopped him, looking at One-Eyed Dragon, who was unconscious on the ground, and several other knocked-down Black Wind Stronghold Cultivators, "Leave them alive, they're still useful."

The courtyard finally fell silent.

Everyone was exhausted, collapsing to the ground, gasping for breath, with more or less injuries on their bodies, but on each person's face was the joy of victory.

They won! They actually defeated the people from Black Wind Stronghold!

Liu Shan walked up to Mo Chu, looked at the small black snake, covered in dust but with bright eyes, and solemnly clasped his fists: "Mo Chu, I, Liu Shan, will never forget your kindness today!"

The other Family members also gathered around, their gazes towards Mo Chu filled with awe and gratitude.

Wang Lan came over with medicinal balm, looked at Mo Chu, her voice choked with emotion: "Mo Chu, thank you..."

Mo Chu gently shook his head and slithered to General Manager Liu Yuan's feet.

General Manager Liu Yuan looked at him, his eyes filled with relief and lingering fear: "Good child, we owe you a lot today. If not for you, our Liu Family..."

He did not continue, but everyone understood his meaning.

The Liu Family won this battle, and they won with great pride!
