200: Living a Second Life

There was almost no pressure.

The group moved in turns, each employing their own methods, and in a blink of an eye, they had advanced a considerable distance.

Although these Divine Fire Realm Yin Generals were numerous, they were still no match for the Prodigies.

Their offensive speed was quite fast.

Among them, Wang Yan was the most striking.

His Dao Fire was supremely strong and pure yang; anything it touched would perish.

It had a natural restraining effect on these vile creatures.

Wang Hao and Wang Yusheng, standing nearby, frequently glanced at him.

This person indeed possessed some skill.

He was truly a Prodigy unearthed by the Clan Chief.

Wang Jiayao, however, was not too surprised.

In her era, she had witnessed this clan brother's glory.

Although it was fleeting, after Wang Dong agreed to help him annul his engagement, this clan brother embarked on a Heaven-Defying path.

While she didn't know what had happened to her clan brother, it was clear he had obtained a significant Opportunity.

She wasn't surprised by his current performance.

Soon, the group advanced to a massive, towering pagoda.

The pagoda's exterior was mottled, bearing the marks of countless ages.

It stood there, reaching into the heavens and connecting to the earth, exuding a sense of grandeur.

It seemed to have come from ancient times, now presiding over this place; ignoring its sheer height, it resembled a Divine City standing tall.

“Let's go in and take a look.”

“With the strength of the four of us, there's nothing to fear.”

Wang Yusheng led the way, constantly forming various formations with his hands as he walked inside.

The others followed behind him.

Although they had advanced quickly to this point, the top Prodigies from other major powers wouldn't be far behind.

They would likely catch up soon.

Seizing the initiative was necessary.

Following the pagoda's grand entrance, after walking several tens of steps, the view suddenly opened up.

Before them lay a complex of palaces, with carved beams and painted rafters, stone pillars entwined with Dragons, and True Dragons and True Phoenixes carved into the walls.

They were incredibly lifelike, suggesting either the extraordinary skill of the Great Master craftsman or that they were modeled after actual True Dragons and True Phoenixes.

Even across countless ages, merely gazing at the murals now, one could still feel that immense Aura, that sense of reigning over all under heaven.

The magnificent and vast Aura surged, a feeling that caused their hearts to tremble, but they quickly averted their gaze and continued forward.

About an incense stick's time later.

They entered the central area of the pagoda.

It was a place like an underground palace.

At the very top of the underground palace, a plaque was carved with three large characters.

“Wushi Palace.”

Wushi?

It was indeed the tomb of that existence.

Their spirits invigorated, they exchanged glances and then quickly stepped inside.

The palace was incredibly deep and vast, and perhaps because it had long existed underground, the light within was extremely dim.

Only faint glimmers could be seen.

It was only then that Wang Yusheng gently raised a hand, and a red candle seemed to appear in his grasp.

He lit it with his Divine Fire, and a moment later, the candle emitted a faint glow.

It cast a slight light on everything around them.

And this red candle emitted a faint fragrance.

The scent was extremely peculiar; it made everyone feel clear-headed and refreshed, yet inexplicably nauseous.

However, they didn't delve into it.

Since it was something Wang Yusheng had produced himself, it was normal for it to be a bit strange.

If it could aid their exploration now, there was no need to investigate further.

Perhaps it was a Source Celestial Master's technique.

With the light, everyone now saw the central area.

There was a floating high platform there.

The platform was as black as ink, shimmering with a heart-palpitating light.

This oppressive feeling made them a little uncomfortable for a moment.

Wang Yusheng's eyes flashed.

“This is Chaos Divine Stone. Legend has it that Great Emperor Wushi found a piece of it, an unparalleled Material that could be refined into a Supreme Emperor Weapon, but I never expected it to be refined into a high platform here.”

Immediately after, Wang Yusheng looked to the side.

There was a huge coffin there.

This was the item he most liked to frequent.

The owner of a tomb would often bury their most precious items, such as valuable treasures and Legacies, along with their body.

He whispered a few words to the others.

Then, with a flash, he appeared before the coffin.

Just as he was about to open the coffin, he suddenly realized it was already open.

Looking down from above.

There weren't many burial items inside the coffin.

Wang Yusheng was a little disappointed, and it was at this moment that his pupils suddenly constricted.

What is this?

It was a complete human skin.

Although the human skin was dry and unremarkable.

But one must know that this human skin had endured countless ages, and even now, it had not decayed, nor was there any damage.

Did this Great Emperor die of old age?

Logically speaking, it was normal for the human skin or bones of a supreme expert like a Great Emperor not to decay.

However, if Great Emperor Wushi's human skin was peeled off by someone else, how could the tomb remain intact?

Or perhaps this was the Great Emperor's own doing.

Thinking of this possibility, Wang Yusheng suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.

If it was the Great Emperor's own doing, then this human skin likely held great significance.

Perhaps it was a golden cicada shedding its shell.

Wushi had emerged from the human skin for his second life.

Burying his first body here, to live out a second life?

Wang Yusheng was utterly horrified.

He quickly retreated a few steps.

He had received the Legacy of the Source Celestial Master, and the memories in his mind were extremely ancient.

They contained too many secrets.

Especially those concerning the Celestial Venerables, Great Emperors, and Ancient Sovereigns of all ages.

There were not a few secrets about them.

But almost none had managed to live out a second life.

Only that Ruthless Great Emperor, who lived out three lives?

Some speculated he might have lived more, but in his Legacy memories, there were clearly only three lives, yet this was already astonishing.

And those who lived out a second life were already considered Heaven-Defying existences.

Yet, in popular legend, Great Emperor Wushi was said to have died in his first life.

He never expected to see a completely shed human skin here.

This human skin also contained dim, lifeless bones, clearly having had all its Law and blood essence absorbed.

His guess might not be wrong.

He immediately looked at the people behind him and explained the situation.

Upon hearing this, everyone was also incredibly shaken.

This one had lived out a second life, yet had never left any trace in the Five Regions.

Where did he go?

Did he attack a Life Forbidden Zone? No, that's not right.

If he had gone to attack a Life Forbidden Zone, there would have long been rumors throughout the Five Regions; they wouldn't still be unaware today.

Perhaps he went to a place they didn't know about.

The endless starry sky holds too many unknowns.

Fortunately, Wang Hao quickly reacted.

“Alright, there's no need to keep dwelling on this. Since he buried his first body here, it means the Great Emperor is not here now.”

“Let's quickly search for Opportunities. In not much time, that group of people will likely follow, like fish drawn to a scent.”

His gaze swept around the main hall.
