662: The other side of the River of Oblivion
"Grand Elder, what do you mean by that?"
The black-robed Elder frowned sharply and asked after hearing what the gold-robed Elder said.
It wasn't that he doubted the truth of what the gold-robed Elder said, but rather that he didn't understand the meaning behind it.
The Dragon Clan was originally a race within the Holy Domain, and when they left, they had already left behind the coordinates needed for their return journey.
With the strength of their Dragon Clan, there was no difficulty in wanting to leave here and return to the Holy Domain.
Even the black mist couldn't stop them; after all, the current speed of the black mist's spread made it impossible for it to Breakthrough the Formation they had set up in a short time.
"Grand Elder, has there been a problem with the Formation for our return journey?"
The purple-robed Elder immediately sensed that something was amiss.
His first thought was that there might be a problem with the Formation for their return.
Otherwise, the gold-robed Elder wouldn't have said such a thing.
They had lived together for millions of years and were all very familiar with each other.
"That's right, I just sensed that the coordinates for our return journey have suddenly disappeared."
Upon hearing this, the purple-robed Elder and the black-robed Elder exchanged glances, their expressions becoming extremely grim.
The coordinates were their way home; they knew this all too well.
Without coordinates to provide direction, even if they were very strong, it would be difficult for them to return to their own place in a short time.
Moreover, there was a high possibility that they would get lost on their way back and be unable to find the Dao home.
They had seen such things too many times, but they never expected it to happen to them; this was somewhat unacceptable.
"How can this be? When we left the Dragon Domain back then, we clearly left hidden coordinates, and that place wasn't accessible all year round. Could it be that it has reopened now and that place has been discovered?"
The black-robed Elder roared hysterically, his entire face becoming somewhat twisted and ferocious. He couldn't believe what he had heard.
The loss of the spatial coordinates meant that they might not be able to return to the Holy Domain!
A group of Dragon Clan members who had originally sought refuge from war might truly have to wander outside forever.
This was something that all Dragon Clan members would probably find very difficult to accept.
"Black Dragon Elder, please calm down for a moment. Let's hear what the Grand Elder has to say."
Compared to the Black Dragon Elder, the purple-robed Elder was clearly more composed. Seeing that the gold-robed Elder's expression hadn't changed much, but rather looked regretful, he knew that there might still be room for maneuver.
Things might not yet be so bad that they were helpless.
The gold-robed Elder nodded, then spoke.
The Black Dragon Elder didn't feel embarrassed; after all, his personality was like that, relatively prone to irritability.
He scratched his head and looked at the gold-robed Elder.
"The spatial coordinates we left behind should have had their Formation destroyed, which is why they disappeared."
"It's a pity; that was the fastest Dao for us to return to the Holy Domain."
"By now, the Holy Domain should have already opened the Forbidden Land Battlefield; that place has been discovered."
"Fortunately, when I left back then, I left a contingency plan. Although we cannot return to the Holy Domain through the most direct Dao, we can still return to the Holy Domain by passing through the Forgetfulness River!"
Returning to the Holy Domain through the Forgetfulness River was the contingency plan the Golden Dragon Elder had left back then.
Moreover, his action back then was merely an incidental one; he never expected it to be useful millions of years later.
However, there was now another problem.
"Forgetfulness River?!"
This place made both the Black Dragon Elder and the purple-robed Elder exclaim in surprise.
The Forgetfulness River, known as the most dangerous place in the Holy Domain.
"Grand Elder, the Forgetfulness River, that is the territory of the Ancient Remnant Race. If we want to pass through there to return to the Holy Domain, it will be very... very difficult, right?"
Towards the end, the purple-robed Elder felt it was very troublesome.
The Ancient Remnant Race did not interact with later generations of races; to them, they were the most noble race beneath the gods!
All races that were not of the Ancient Remnant Race were considered anomalies.
For them, the Forgetfulness River was the purest preserved ancient land, making them feel that they were still a race from the ancient era.
And not like the races in other parts of the Holy Domain now, who had lost their purity!
Their pure land was not to be defiled by outsiders.
The gold-robed Elder's ability to enter the Forgetfulness River back then was merely an accident.
His ability to come out alive involved many reasons; it was all luck.
Otherwise, even with the gold-robed Elder's strength, it would have been very difficult to emerge alive from the Forgetfulness River.
"Besides there, we have no other Dao to take. Returning to the Holy Domain is the dream of all Dragon Clan descendants. Our Dragon Clan cannot wander outside forever; millions of years have passed, and no matter what, we must go back."
"Even if we face numerous obstacles, we must fight with all our might."
At this point, the gold-robed Elder's expression became very heavy.
He was well aware that his decision might bring danger to the Dragon Clan.
However, the current strength of the Dragon Clan was no longer what it was when they left back then; even the Forgetfulness River, he dared to venture into it!
After hearing the gold-robed Elder's words, both the purple-robed Elder and the black-robed Elder respectfully said,
"We shall obey all the Grand Elder's commands."
