17: A third bloom, the show is about to begin!
Inside the Haunted House, on Yellow Springs Road.
Sun Yong took the lead, being the first to reach the end.
However, to his surprise, no props or NPCs suddenly jumped out.
"Could it be that I guessed wrong?"
Perhaps due to the dim lighting, Sun Yong didn't notice a tall figure faintly visible behind the screen to his left.
"Let's go, Sun Yong, why are you still standing there?"
"I think this Haunted House has a large area, so this is probably just a path to increase the scary atmosphere."
The others also arrived at the end one after another.
Because the path was quite narrow, they couldn't move forward if Sun Yong didn't.
Hearing his companion's words, Sun Yong felt there was some truth to them.
Without further thought, he turned around and continued walking forward.
After exiting Yellow Springs Road, there was a straight corridor.
The corridor had many cells locked by rusted iron bars.
The cells were pitch black, and it was impossible to see what was inside.
As an experienced Haunted House player, the moment Sun Yong saw this corridor, he guessed what would happen next.
It would be nothing more than a hand suddenly reaching out from a cell, accompanied by some terrifying noises.
He curled his lips in disdain and once again took the lead, walking forward.
Behind him, his other companions also emerged from Yellow Springs Road.
Soon after, the assistant came out, followed by Song Yang, who was holding his phone.
"These college students in front seem quite brave, I don't see any panic at all."
Song Yang looked at the group of college students in front and clicked his tongue.
Completely focused on filming, he didn't notice the terrifying figure silently watching him from behind.
Recalling the boss's instructions, Goethe's eyes began to flicker with crimson, and tendrils of terrifying aura began to spread.
Ahead, everyone was still unaware that behind them, a true butcher was slowly reawakening.
This time, it didn't come as a surprise to Sun Yong.
As he reached the middle of the corridor, an arm with only a bit of flesh remaining suddenly reached out from the darkness of a cell.
Instantly, all sorts of chaotic, ear-piercing sounds emanated from the various cells.
Ghostly wails and demonic dances.
The lights overhead began to flicker erratically.
Arms also began to extend from the cells next to the others.
These arms were not just bare bones; they still had some shredded flesh hanging on them, looking very realistic.
Although they had already guessed that there might be something in the cells, Sun Yong and the others were still startled by this sudden scene.
It wasn't that they were timid; it was just a subconscious reaction when people face sudden situations.
"Oh my god!"
"So disgusting, don't touch me!"
"The ones in front, hurry up and move, don't block the way!"
Looking at the arms with only a bit of flesh remaining next to them, several female college students frantically dodged.
Even though they knew it was fake, they subconsciously didn't want to be grabbed by these arms.
As for the boys, after their initial surprise, they became interested and started playfully wrestling with these arms.
Isn't interaction what a Haunted House is all about?
However, when these boys grabbed the arms extending from the cells, they all noticed something was off.
"Holy crap!?"
"This flesh, is it real?"
A wet sensation came from their palms; when they let go, chunks of shredded flesh, along with viscous blood, stuck to their hands.
Perhaps it was psychological, but everyone even smelled a pungent, bloody scent.
"Ugh!"
Someone couldn't hold it in and let out a dry retch.
"Sun Yong, hurry up!"
This time, even the boys couldn't take it anymore.
However, no matter how much these people shouted, the team still didn't advance an inch.
At the very front, Sun Yong covered his forehead, his eyes somewhat bewildered.
Just now, upon hearing the cries of his female classmates, he had already started walking forward.
However, before he had taken a few steps, he inexplicably bumped his head against the iron bars beside him.
"What's going on?"
"An illusion?"
A hint of unease appeared in Sun Yong's heart.
Hearing the others behind him urging him again, he shook his head, not having time to think much, and walked forward again.
"Alright, I take back what I just said."
"These people are clearly rookies; they can't handle such a small commotion?"
At the very back, Song Yang shook his head.
He recalled that when he passed through this corridor, he even put some of the shredded flesh to his nose to smell it.
If he hadn't been unsure what kind of meat it was, he would have even wanted to chew on it.
College students are just college students; they're still too naive.
The assistant's reaction wasn't very strong either.
After all, he had been livestreaming with Song Yang for so long; what was happening now was just a minor scene to him.
In the livestream room, although fans couldn't see the college students' faces.
However, they still understood the general situation from everyone's body language and voices.
[See? These are normal people; beasts like the Streamer are rare after all.]
A fan exclaimed.
"Hmm? How come I don't remember smelling any blood before?"
Song Yang scratched his head at this moment, muttering in confusion.
He remembered that even when he put the flesh to his nose before, he didn't smell any blood.
Could it be that the boss added it later?
Suddenly, a faint chill came from behind him.
Subconsciously, Song Yang turned his head.
Crimson pupils, a violent aura, and a chainsaw already raised high.
"Gak!"
Third time's the charm.
Looking at Goethe, who had appeared behind him at some unknown point, Song Yang's heart stopped.
Ahead, the assistant heard the duck-like sound and turned his head in confusion... "The show's beginning."
Li Zhou's lips curved into a smile, his eyes playful.
On the monitoring screen, a terrifying scream, almost a world-class high note, rang out.
"Ah!!!"
The assistant looked at Goethe behind Song Yang, and after three seconds of silence, he let out a pig-like shriek.
Almost without hesitation, he immediately turned around and started running forward.
"Wait... wait for me!"
Song Yang turned his head with difficulty.
He had thought that by staying at the very back of the group, he could effectively avoid Goethe and the zombies.
Who would have thought that Li Zhou, that scoundrel, would deliberately put Goethe at the very end!
Just thinking of Goethe's eyes made all the hairs on Song Yang's body stand on end.
He burst out with the greatest speed he had ever shown in his life, and in just an instant, he overtook three college students who were still standing dumbfounded.
Although the corridor they were in was narrow, it was still a bit wider than Yellow Springs Road.
The assistant and Song Yang ran wildly, constantly overtaking one bewildered college student after another.
Seeing the two extremely panicked individuals, the unease in everyone's hearts dissipated considerably.
"No way, man, is it that scary?"
"Hey, hey, hey, don't push, I'll let you!"
The group clearly hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation.
A college student who had been harshly pushed aside by Song Yang was about to complain when suddenly, an ear-piercing sound drowned out the ghostly wails from the cells.
Sizzle sizzle sizzle!!!
