101: Chapter 101 Scumbag Rabbit!

The next second, the two of them appeared at the entrance of the lair.

The silver-white moss felt soft underfoot, and the lair, woven from cloud-flow vines, resembled a giant cradle lined with a thick layer of silver-white fur.

However, Lin Fan didn't rush inside. Standing at the entrance, his left eye peered through every corner of the lair, seeing the situation inside clearly.

The lair was huge, much larger than he had imagined.

Past the entrance was a narrow passage with over a dozen side tunnels branching off, each lined with fur and hay.

This wasn't just a nest for a litter of rabbits; it was an underground palace.

And those living here were far more than just those few Cloud-Maned Flowing Light Rabbits.

Lin Fan took a deep breath and lowered his voice.

"There are... a lot inside."

Ye Qing frowned. "How many?"

Lin Fan didn't answer and walked straight in.

Deep in the lair, the first side tunnel was packed with over a dozen Gray-Eared Jumping Rabbit kits, fluffy and curled up together asleep.

In the second side tunnel were Red-Furred Rabbits; three or four does were nursing, with kits huddled under their bellies, nuzzling about.

The third, the fourth, the fifth...

Every side tunnel contained kits of different rabbit-type Armor Beasts: Gray-Eared Jumping Rabbits, Red-Furred Rabbits, Wind-Riding Rabbits, Frost-Furred Rabbits, and even kits of Silver-Scaled Rock Rabbits.

Big and small, crowded together—at a rough count, there were at least four or five hundred.

Lin Fan's lip twitched. "Are these... all from that Rabbit King?"

Ye Qing was also stunned.

"That's way too many offspring, isn't it?"

Lin Fan was silent for a moment as the image of that Rank 42 Rabbit King's majestic appearance surfaced in his mind.

Silver-white all over, covered in cloud patterns, with golden pupils flickering with lightning.

Thinking about it that way, he certainly had the capital to be a scumbag.

He shook his head, tossed the thought aside, and hurried toward the main nest at the deepest part.

The main nest was lined with the thickest, softest fur, and the air held a faint milky scent.

Ten kits were huddled together in the nest.

Nine had various coat colors.

Some were grayish-white, some silver-gray, and some had faint cloud patterns, but none were clear; their Bloodlines were mixed.

Only one was different, curled up in the very center, surrounded by the other nine.

It was only the size of a palm and entirely silver-white. Fine cloud patterns had already begun to grow at the edges of its fur, the lines as clear as carvings, shimmering with a flowing luster in the dim light of the lair.

Its eyes hadn't opened yet, but fine lightning patterns flickered slightly under its eyelids, and every breath carried a faint spark of electricity.

Lin Fan's left eye grew warm.

[Species]: Cloud-Maned Flowing Light Rabbit (Armor Spirit Kit)

[Aptitude]: Low-Tier Heaven Spirit (Limit: Low-Tier Heaven Spirit)

[Attributes]: Thunder/Light

[Status]: Approximately ten days old, eyes not yet open, healthy

[Potential Evaluation]: Pure Bloodline, no risk of degeneration. However, limited by parental Aptitude, the ceiling is low; Low-Tier Heaven Spirit is already the limit.

The limit was only Low-Tier Heaven Spirit, even worse than its scumbag father.

Lin Fan shook his head and shifted his gaze to the other side tunnels.

With four or five hundred kits, he scanned them one by one.

A Silver-Scaled Rock Rabbit kit was curled in a corner, its scales already taking shape and glinting coldly in the dark.

Lin Fan's left eye scanned it.

High-Tier Mystic Spirit, ordinary Armor Beast, not an Armor Spirit.

A Wind-Riding Rabbit kit was rolling in a pile of hay, its ears a notch longer than its peers, with faint wind patterns under its fur.

Mid-Tier Mystic Spirit, ordinary Armor Beast.

He browsed through the four or five hundred kits quickly, one after another.

The vast majority were ordinary Armor Beasts, with Aptitudes ranging from Mortal Spirit to Mystic Spirit.

Not a single Armor Spirit.

Finally, in the seventh side tunnel, he saw an Armor Spirit kit.

Amidst a ball of fur, a small, pale-golden rabbit was curled up. It was a size smaller than its peers, but fine golden patterns were slowly forming under its fur.

Its eyes were half-open, its pupils pale gold with extremely faint lightning swirling within.

Lin Fan's left eye grew warm—Blazing Thunder Rabbit kit, Thunder attribute, High-Tier Mystic Spirit Aptitude, Low-Tier Earth Spirit limit.

A pity the Aptitude limit was too low.

The eighth side tunnel.

The ninth side tunnel.

...

Lin Fan's pace grew faster and faster.

He had almost finished looking through the four or five hundred kits.

Counting Armor Spirit kits and eggs, there were fewer than ten in total, all with mediocre Aptitude. The best was that Low-Tier Heaven Spirit Cloud-Maned Flowing Light Rabbit kit in the main nest.

Ye Qing followed behind him and whispered, "Nothing good?"

Lin Fan was about to answer when he suddenly paused.

In the very last side tunnel, a doe was squatting on a pile of hay, her body trembling slightly.

She was small, only a foot long, but she looked extremely robust. Her limbs were covered in fine golden scales, and a few faint silver patterns were visible along her spine.

She looked like a Low-Tier Earth Spirit Silver-Scaled Thunder-Claw Rabbit, but something seemed different.

Her ears were exceptionally pointed, like two sharp sword blades piercing straight toward the sky.

Lin Fan's left eye instantly became scalding hot as he stared fixedly at the doe.

[Species]: Silver-Scaled Thunder-Claw Rabbit (Variant)

[Rank]: 21

[Aptitude]: Mid-Tier Earth Spirit (Limit: High-Tier King Spirit)

[Attributes]: Thunder/Metal

[Status]: In labor

[Armorization Part]: Legs

[Potential Evaluation]: Bloodline mutation; contains extremely rare Hou Beast Bloodline, resulting in a significant increase in Aptitude.

Lin Fan hadn't expected this doe to be an Armor Spirit with quite impressive Aptitude, her limit even exceeding that of the scumbag rabbit.

The Hou Beast was an extremely ancient and powerful legendary Armor Beast.

Small as a rabbit, with long and sharp ears.

It fed on thunder and had bones of metal; in terms of potential, it was not inferior to a True Dragon.

Even though the Hou Beast Bloodline in this doe was so thin it was almost negligible,

it had still caused a startling mutation, and her potential limit had been vastly increased.

And right now, this mother was giving birth.

Five small rabbits had already been born, huddled wetly in the hay pile while the doe licked them.

And beneath her were two more eggs.

Lin Fan held his breath as his left eye scanned the five newborn kits.

Though they all inherited their mother's decent Aptitude, unfortunately, they were all just ordinary Armor Beasts.

Lin Fan's gaze involuntarily fell on the remaining two eggs.

These two eggs were bound to be Armor Spirits, because only Armor Spirits were born in the form of eggs.

Ordinary Armor Beasts followed different physiological laws to produce offspring, being either viviparous or oviparous, and of course, some were born from eggs.

However, rabbits were not egg-layers...

Lin Fan's heart couldn't help but speed up.

He stared intently at the two eggs.

They were slightly larger than common bird eggs, and the shells weren't pure white but shimmered with a strange metallic luster, their surfaces faintly marked with fine silver patterns.

One had slightly deeper patterns, and a very faint golden halo had even condensed at the top of the shell.

If not for the mystery of Lin Fan's left eye, this slight difference would have been impossible to see.

When he finished reading the information for these two eggs, a look of irrepressible surprise flashed in his eyes.

"Ye Qing, these are the two eggs!"
