309: Chapter 309 Divine Descent Breaks the Tribulation

This final Chaos Return-to-Void Tribulation, with its inherent essence of destruction, already surpassed the Dao of this realm—it was an ultimate power capable of devouring even the Laws of the Myriad Heavens and Worlds, long since exceeding the limits of what he could currently understand or withstand.

His remaining strength had long since been exhausted.

His Meridians were severed, his spiritual power dissipated.

Even attempting to mobilize a single wisp of Immortal Essence tore at his flesh and pierced his heart with pain.

The nine heavens dragon roar sword was covered in spiderweb-like cracks, its dragon roar as faint as a dying whimper, its Dragon markings dim and lusterless—it was almost on the verge of shattering.

That fragment of the Heavenly Dao charm, after being scoured by eight Immortal Tribulations, was as weak as a candle in the wind, ready to be completely extinguished by this wind of world-destruction at any moment.

He couldn't block it.

Really... he couldn't block it anymore.

A cold, pure despair, born from the instinct of life, crept silently into Chu Changsheng's heart like a maggot on a bone.

It spread through his limbs and bones, freezing his blood and stagnating his breath.

Past struggles—a hundred years of bitter cultivation of the Dao in cold windows, a hundred years of traversing dangerous peaks in solitary shadow.

Unyielding will—standing tall despite ten thousand tribulations, having no regrets even after dying nine times in the Southern Wilderness.

The joy of slaying enemies—the long-cherished wish to kill enemies with his own hands, the obsession that blood debts must be paid in blood.

Longing for the future—the grand ambition to tread upon the nine heavens, the vow to protect family and friends...

In the face of this absolute destruction, they all seemed pale and powerless—like sandcastles about to be washed away by a monstrous flood, vulnerable to a single blow.

"Is it... ending..."

A vague thought flashed slowly through his nearly stagnant mind.

Filled with unwillingness, regret, and a trace of... relief-like exhaustion.

He had fought for half his life, never having a moment of rest.

Perhaps, total extinction was the ultimate destination.

He slowly closed his eyes.

His long eyelashes trembled, and the last drop of golden blood-tear slid from the corner of his eye, turning into nothingness in the air.

He loosened his grip on the nine heavens dragon roar sword, letting the blade fall to the ground with a dull thud—just like his Divine Soul, which was on the verge of shattering at this moment.

He straightened his hunched back, preparing to welcome that final, eternal extinction.

However—

Just as the destructive beam within the Chaos Heavenly Eye condensed to the extreme, transforming into a black radiance that pierced through heaven and earth, about to erupt and completely devour Chu Changsheng, turning him into nutrients for Chaos—

An unexpected change occurred!

"Crack—!!!"

An incredibly clear, massive sound, like the shattering of eternal glazed glass, suddenly erupted from the very top of this "Void Realm" area, from even higher above that "Absolute Darkness" sky that could devour even light!

This sound did not originate from the roar of the Nine-Source World-Destroying Immortal Tribulation, nor was it any known power fluctuation in this realm.

It carried a kind of tyrannical, domineering, and unquestionable supreme power—as if a giant axe that opened heaven and earth had directly torn through some invisible "boundary" that stretched across the Myriad Heavens and Worlds!

Space trembled, and the Laws wailed.

Even the Heavenly Eyes condensed by the nine Immortal Tribulations wavered slightly at this loud noise, and the light of world-destruction within their pupils experienced a momentary disorder.

Immediately after—

In the reflection of Chu Changsheng's suddenly opened, bloodshot eyes, directly above those nine "Heavenly Eyes," in that boundless Void Realm that should have been empty, perhaps even transcending the dimensional concepts of this world—

A massive space rift was suddenly torn open!

The edges of the rift flowed with dazzling golden divine radiance.

Wherever the divine radiance passed, the Void Realm that annihilated everything was forcibly pushed back, unable to advance even an inch.

And tearing open this rift was—

A giant hand of indescribable size, seemingly condensed from pure Laws and the Power Of Faith!

This hand had five fingers like pillars supporting the sky, and its palm was like the rotation of the sun and moon.

With just a slight reach, it tore open the barriers of the Myriad Heavens and Worlds and pierced through endless time and space!

Behind the rift was not a dead, silent starry sky, nor was it chaotic Chaos.

It was a vast, boundless territory of gods, wreathed in divine light!

Countless phantoms of towering divine palaces floated in the sea of clouds, the palaces inscribed with runes of the Dao of the Myriad Heavens, flowing with immortal radiance—each temple exuded a pressure capable of suppressing a Universe.

Billions of galaxies slowly revolved around the divine palaces, the light of stars gathering into rivers, nourishing this sacred land.

Innumerable phantoms of living beings stood upon the clouds; some wore battle armor, others held scriptures, chanting grand and sacred hymns.

The sound of the hymns faintly drifted over, cleansing the Soul, carrying a supreme majesty that overlooked the Myriad Heavens and Worlds!

And at the edge of the rift—

A figure slowly emerged.

This was not a physical entity, but a massive, heaven-supporting phantom of a god!

He wore divine robes flowing with the radiance of the sun, moon, and stars.

On the divine robes, the three thousand Daos were woven into a net, dotted with billions of stars—every pattern contained the mysteries of creation.

He wore a crown woven from thousands of Laws.

Above the crown, Chaos mist swirled, with faint visions of opening heaven and earth emerging, evolving the Reincarnation of the birth and death of the Universe.

His face was shrouded in layers of divine light, blurred and unclear, yet it made one dare not look directly at it.

Only a pair of eyes—

Like two burning stars, magnificent heavenly might flowed abundantly.

Through the rift, piercing the sky of Absolute Darkness formed by the Nine-Source World-Destroying Immortal Tribulation, ignoring the pressure of world-destruction—it fell directly upon the broken, dying Chu Changsheng below!

In that gaze, there was a scrutiny that spanned eternity, an inquiry that penetrated Karma, and a burning heat as if having searched the Myriad Heavens and Worlds, finally discovering a rare treasure.

As well as... a faint, satisfied smile, as if it had crossed endless time and space and years to finally find its target.

And then—

A grand, gentle, yet supreme voice slowly spread.

This voice did not enter through the ears, but resounded directly in the deepest part of Chu Changsheng's Divine Soul.

Each word was like the tolling of a bell, each sound like a thunderclap—even temporarily drowning out the destructive roar brewing within the Chaos Heavenly Eye:

"Crossing endless time and space, parting the long river of Karma..."

"Taichu Heaven Lord—"

"I have finally... found you."

The moment the voice fell—

The phantom of the god slowly turned its head, casting a faint glance at the Chaos Heavenly Eye below, which was poised to strike, and those nine "Heavenly Eyes" that represented the ultimate judgment of the Dao of this realm.

It was merely a glance.

There was no earth-shattering attack, no impenetrable defense, not even any energy fluctuation.

But—

Those nine "Heavenly Eyes," which were originally indifferent and emotionless, exuding the majesty of world-destruction, actually trembled in unison!

The light of world-destruction within their pupils flickered violently, as if they had encountered a supreme existence, giving rise to instinctive awe.

Especially that Chaos Heavenly Eye with the brightest light—the chaotic Qi flow rotating crazily within it actually experienced a momentary stagnation and disorder!

That destructive black radiance about to erupt was forcibly stuck within the Heavenly Eye, unable to advance even an inch—as if firmly imprisoned by an invisible giant hand!

The Dao of this realm—

Under His gaze, it actually gave rise to awe!

This phantom of a god spanning the firmament, its outline hazy like smoke, carried an eternal, immortal divine pressure.

This pressure was not deliberately released; merely a careless glance caused the Nine-Source Heavenly Eyes, which symbolized the supreme will of destruction of this realm, to tremble violently—as if they had met a Dominator to whom they were born to bow.

The world-destroying black flames churning around the Heavenly Eyes swayed wildly, their tongues of flame twisting like dying poisonous snakes.

Bolts of destructive lightning that tore through the Void Realm shattered inch by inch, erupting with faint wails.

Under this glance, even "destruction" itself seemed to want to shed its ferocity and bow down in submission.

However—this was by no means the end.

The phantom's gaze, from the initial indifference of scrutiny, suddenly transformed into an absolute indifference that looked down upon dust.

This was a gaze that transcended all things in the Myriad Heavens and Worlds and the Laws of birth and death—viewing the billions of living beings and thousands of Daos of this realm as ants and dust.

Viewing that Chaos Heavenly Eye brewing the power of ultimate return-to-void—as nothing more than an eyesore of a speck of dust in the palm.

He did not take the Heavenly Eye below, which was almost about to erupt with a chaotic flood of world-destruction, to heart at all.

That giant hand flowing with dazzling golden divine radiance was condensed from the most fundamental Laws of heaven and earth and the Power Of Faith of billions of living beings.

Engraved between the palm lines were the orbital paths of the stars of the Myriad Heavens and Worlds, and every flowing line seemed to contain the birth and death of galaxies.

The knuckles were wreathed in Holy Light capable of cleansing all evil, the light so pure to the extreme that even Chaos had to retreat before it.

At this moment—

This giant hand slowly turned its direction, five fingers slightly spread, palm facing downward, toward that Chaos Heavenly Eye that was brightest and almost about to burst the firmament—

It gave a gentle grasp.

There was no earth-shattering explosion.

No world-destroying energy collision.

And even less of the expected collision of Laws that would tear the Universe apart.

There was only a muffled sound, low to the extreme—as if the Dao itself had been throttled by the throat.

Only a sound of "pfft," so light it was almost inaudible—like glazed glass touching hard stone.

This Chaos Return-to-Void Tribulation, which made all things in the Myriad Heavens and Worlds turn pale at the mention of it; this Chaos Heavenly Eye, which gathered the final core of the Nine-Source World-Destroying Immortal Tribulation and was enough to turn the Three Realms and Six Paths into dust—

Just under this seemingly casual grasp of the giant hand—

It was like a vulnerable glass ball, suddenly shattering in the palm, with not even the fragments having time to scatter.

It was also like a flickering candle flame, easily extinguished by a single finger, leaving not even a wisp of smoke.

Silent and soundless.

Annihilated completely.

The grayish chaotic Qi flow dispersed in an instant, like residual snow swept away by a gale, without even a shred of room to struggle.

The structure of the Heavenly Eye, built from countless world-destroying runes, disintegrated inch by inch into the most basic points of light, and was immediately swallowed and purified by the golden divine radiance flowing around the giant hand.

It did not stir up the slightest ripple, leaving not a single trace—as if this world-destroying Heavenly Eye that made the Myriad Heavens and Worlds tremble had never existed.

The remaining eight Heavenly Eyes, originally still spewing world-destroying tribulation lightning, now had their light flickering violently, bright and dim—like the last gasps of a dying person.

In the flickering light, there was a certain instinctive fear and anger.

But more so, it was a kind of, at the level of Dao rules—

Solidification.

They actually dared not descend the slightest bit of tribulation power anymore, and even that "gaze" containing the meaning of judgment became incredibly stiff.

As if forcibly "silenced" by some higher-level existence—

Even the qualification to destroy was stripped away.
