102: Time does not know the years

Time flies in the mountains, years pass unnoticed.

In a flash, a month had passed.

During this month, Lu Chen stayed indoors, focusing entirely on cultivation.

The effect of the tongming flower was unexpectedly good; with less than a single petal, it successfully pushed Lu Chen's Qi refinement cultivation to the Great Perfection of the Penetrating Aperture Realm.

All three hundred and sixty-five major apertures in his body were fully connected and filled with the purest spiritual energy.

And to achieve this, Lu Chen only took three days.

However, Lu Chen did not dare to continue breaking through, because throughout the entire Penetrating Aperture Realm, he had not fully explored this major Realm. If he were to continue breaking through to Mysterious Method, it would inevitably lead to an unstable Foundation, or even turn him into a mediocre person with cultivation but no understanding of the Realm's meaning.

Therefore, for the remaining twenty-odd days, Lu Chen directly retreated deep underground, either continuing to cultivate the Earthly Fiend Dragon Slaying Art and the Jiuxiao Sword Sutra, comprehending the Mixed Origin Undying Scripture, comprehending the power of the Five Elements controlled by the Five Elements Dao Soldiers, or summoning the Golden Armor Dao Soldier to spar with him, increasing his combat experience and comprehending the wonders of the Penetrating Aperture Realm.

As a result, the effects were naturally significant.

In terms of True Intent comprehension, his Earth Element True Intent had already reached the Peak of the seventh layer.

And the seventh layer of True Intent already corresponds to the Yin Spirit Realm. As long as one comprehends the seventh layer of True Intent, it signifies having one foot partially stepped into the Yin Spirit.

This was indeed the case. Compared to when he first opened his Ancestral Aperture, the current Lu Chen felt that the soul in his Ancestral Aperture was becoming increasingly solid, and it also seemed to have grown much larger.

In addition, his Fire Element, Water Element, Metal Element, and Wood Element True Intents had all reached the Peak of the sixth layer. He believed that it wouldn't be long before they all stepped into the seventh layer together.

However, his Sword Intent had not made much progress. Although he had the blessing of the tongming flower and cultivated the Jiuxiao Sword Sutra, he had only just managed to step into the third layer.

Furthermore, he had gained sixty more Golden Armor Dao Soldiers from the Nurturing Soldier Immortal Coffin. Now, his total number of Dao Soldiers had reached as many as one hundred and five.

Among them were twenty-four Five Elements Dao Soldiers and eighty-one Golden Armor Dao Soldiers, their strength terrifyingly powerful.

"After nearly a month of accumulation, my Penetrating Aperture Realm is completely stable. So, next, it's time to break through to the Mysterious Method Realm!" Lu Chen lightly exhaled, putting away all the Golden Armor Dao Soldiers he used for combat experience.

Others needed decades, centuries, or even over a century to refine themselves in the Penetrating Aperture Realm, but Lu Chen didn't need to. With his comprehension, coupled with resources and the constant sparring partners in the form of Dao Soldiers, one month was enough!

Emerging from deep underground, Lu Chen directly put the last remaining pieces of the used tongming flower petal into his mouth. Feeling it might not be enough, he took out another petal of the tongming flower, cut off a fifth, and swallowed it.

The Breakthrough begins!

A surging medicinal power exploded within him, being refined into pure spiritual energy. At the same time, the spiritual energy was transforming into magical power. Once magical power is cultivated, it becomes Mysterious Method, allowing one to travel within the universe starry sky, with magical power protecting the body, unafraid of stellar winds, and a Lifespan of up to five hundred years.

Of course, once Lu Chen steps into the Mysterious Method Realm, his Lifespan might exceed five hundred years. Because his Body Refinement cultivation is also at the Great Perfection of the Mysterious Method Realm, and he is even climbing towards the Dao Embryo Realm. Combining the two, Lu Chen speculated that his Lifespan in the Mysterious Method Realm might exceed five hundred.

He didn't know how long had passed, but the spiritual energy within Lu Chen's body gradually faded, and magical power condensed. At this point, the Mysterious Method Realm was achieved!

...

Doujian Peak, Peak summit.

The Third Elder, who was meditating quietly, suddenly felt a stir in his heart: "He broke through!"

He really broke through, and not in two months, but just over one month, not even fully completed, and he had already reached Mysterious Method.

This young Lu, he truly gave this master a huge surprise!

Entering Mysterious Method in less than a year after joining the Sect, this isn't something that can be simply piled up with heavenly treasures and earthly materials!

It genuinely requires relying on one's own comprehension and Foundation to achieve. If comprehension is insufficient, one cannot comprehend the True Intent of Heaven and Earth, and the soul will not be sufficient to control one's own power, let alone control oneself. Not to mention breaking into Mysterious Method, one might even fall during the Breakthrough itself.

And if the Foundation is insufficient, with an inadequate understanding of the Penetrating Aperture Realm, spiritual energy cannot be transformed into magical power, and one similarly cannot cross the Realm's barrier. This is the Bottleneck.

Yet Lu Chen did it. It must be said, this young man's cultivation talent and Foundation are truly astonishingly profound, even dazzling.

The Third Elder has cultivated for over a thousand years and has seen many geniuses. Not to mention the True Disciples of Dongming Sect, each of whom is a Genius among geniuses, but compared to Lu Chen, they are completely on a different level.

Even the Heavenly Pride talents in the other two dominant Sects of the Southern Chu Kingdom, who were born with heavenly treasures, the Third Elder felt, might not be able to compare with Lu Chen.

"Good, good, good. Old Four, Old Five, Old Six, your Merit Points belong to this old man now." The Third Elder couldn't help but burst into loud laughter.

While Merit Points are good, gaining Lu Chen, this Heavenly Pride, is even better.

Heaven knows, ever since Lu Chen began his secluded cultivation, the Third Elder had been constantly paying attention to his movements, which had exhausted the Third Elder quite a bit. He was afraid that Lu Chen would rush for quick success and damage his Foundation, and also afraid that Lu Chen's cultivation time was too short, lacking experience, and would fail in his Breakthrough.

Fortunately, all his worries were unnecessary. Lu Chen's talent is too strong; a mere Mysterious Method Realm is far from being able to stop him, not even enough to make Lu Chen pause for even half a year.

...

Time flew by, and in a flash, the two-month mark was approaching.

On Feilai Peak, the short and stout Fifth Elder with graying hair was caught in a dilemma: "Two months, the two-month deadline is almost here, why hasn't that young Lu Chen shown his face yet?"

After thinking for a moment, the Fifth Elder took out a communication jade slip and began contacting White Steward of the Inner Sect's Internal Affairs Hall.

[Have you seen that Lu Chen go to the Internal Affairs Hall to handle matters? What Realm is that young man in now?]

A moment later, there was a response from White Steward on the communication jade slip: [Fifth Elder, you've asked this eight hundred times. Lu Chen hasn't come, hasn't come, hasn't come.]

Although he hadn't seen White Steward's plump face, from the text transmitted back, the Fifth Elder could already imagine that this little fatty of a White Steward was about to be driven mad with annoyance. Even in front of him, the Peak Lord of Feilai Peak, he couldn't control his grumbling.

"Young people, truly impatient!" The Fifth Elder squeezed the communication jade slip in his hand, stroked the graying short beard beneath his chin, and fell into a dilemma again: "Old Three is black-hearted. Even if he loses the bet, I probably won't easily get those hundred thousand Merit Points. No, I have to talk to Old Four and Old Six."

Lu Chen hadn't been seen leaving for two months. He hadn't even gone to the Internal Affairs Hall to exchange the Monster Corpse he obtained in the Ancient Demon Remnant Tomb, nor had he claimed the Merit Points from the Ancient Demon Remnant Tomb mission. Most likely, he was still struggling to break through to the Mysterious Method Realm.

But how could the Mysterious Method Realm be so easy to break through?

Let alone two months, even if Lu Chen's Aptitude was higher and he had the best Medicinal Pills in the Sect to aid his cultivation, without ten years or so, Lu Chen couldn't even dream of breaking into Mysterious Method.

Two months, breaking into Penetrating Aperture is more like it.
