277: Heaven vs. Ghost

“What is this?”

Everyone looked up at the chaotic light cluster, an uncontrollable sense of submission rising in their hearts.

They also understood, realizing that this was likely the Heavenly Dao of this world!

When Yousha saw the familiar light cluster, his expression turned incredibly grim, with black energy surging around him, clearly indicating the turmoil within his heart.

After a moment of deliberation, he addressed the chaotic light cluster suspended in the sky:

“It seems that you weren’t unaware of my schemes over these years; rather, you deliberately allowed them to proceed, waiting for this very day.”

“It seems your ambition is not small either!”

Hearing this, Heavenly Dao showed no fluctuation, but said faintly, “You and I are inherently opposed; only one of us can survive. Once, I made a misstep, allowing you a sliver of hope.”

“However, after today, this world will no longer have Yousha!”

This statement directly informed everyone present of the relationship between the two parties, and they sensed that the situation was not simple.

From the sound of it, the two had clashed long ago, with Yousha ultimately losing, but he seemed not to have perished, only to return now.

Big Yellow Dog and the others exchanged glances, seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes; this was the first time they had heard of such a secret.

The Shangzong Expert, however, was not too surprised. The Heavenly Dao of a lower plane and Yousha were inherently opposing existences, but it usually ended with the Heavenly Dao winning.

But once Yousha reversed the situation and devoured the plane, he would gain the ability to break into the Immortal Realm. Coupled with his special and Weird concealment ability, once he went into dormant, he would be extremely difficult to detect.

If he were to grow up one day, it would be a considerable disaster and trouble for the Immortal Realm.

Therefore, there were specialized forces that conducted patrols to nip threats in the bud.

However, not all lower planes would give birth to Yousha.

“Hahaha!”

Hearing this, Yousha burst into laughter, his tone full of mockery.

His illusory figure raised a hand and pointed at Heavenly Dao, his expression somewhat deranged as he said, “Don’t tell me you think you’ve got me cornered? Today, I’ll let you know the price of underestimating me!”

He had been in dormant for hundreds of thousands of years. Although he was recuperating, he never stopped researching Heavenly Dao’s weaknesses, so he naturally had trump cards to deal with him.

“Hmph!”

“If I can defeat you once, I can defeat you a second time!”

Heavenly Dao snorted coldly, and a majestic Heavenly might enveloped the entire continent. He wanted to declare to all beings today that he was the master of this world.

The two stood in opposition, and completely different energies began to intertwine and devour each other. The endless space shattered and collapsed at this moment.

Before they even clashed, that aura made everyone present’s hearts pound, and they quickly moved away from this battlefield.

Heavenly Dao struck first, with bolts of heavenly lightning striking from thin air. The purple lightning dispelled the darkness, illuminating the four directions of the sky.

The vast black energy seemed to have met its nemesis, retreating continuously, not daring to touch its edge.

Yousha’s body surged with black energy, and the void beneath him transformed into a land of disaster and deathly silence. From within, strange and eerie chains rose, clanking as they pierced towards the heavenly lightning.

Clang, clang, clang.

As the two collided, sounds of metal clashing echoed, scattering countless sparks, and terrifying aftershshocks wreaked havoc.

From this simple probing, the two seemed evenly matched, with no apparent difference.

Neither side intended to use their trump cards and killing moves from the start, but rather kept looking for an opportunity.

Neither of them had a retreat; once defeated, it would be a complete and utter dissipation.

They dared not gamble, and could not afford to, so they were at a stalemate for a time.

“Is that all?”

“Get hyped up, hit him hard, don’t hold back!”

Big Yellow Dog seemed a bit disappointed by the situation and then shouted loudly, causing the many Great Emperors of Chaos Eye to look at him in terror.

He’s not afraid of death!

To dare to shout and yell in this kind of situation, isn’t he afraid of bringing disaster upon himself? He’s practically tired of living.

They couldn’t help but think that although the other party was very strong, facing the two most terrifying existences in this world, he was still somewhat inadequate.

Even Niu Fei and the others felt their hearts pound. Dog Master was truly Dog Master; this kind of courage was not something ordinary people could possess.

As for Fire Kirin, Fire Phoenix, Leng Cangxuan, and the others, they didn’t react much, just looking at Big Yellow Dog with a hint of speechlessness, without much worry.

They naturally knew the reason: Big Yellow Dog dared to be so reckless simply because he had a backer and confidence in his heart.

Big Yellow Dog wished the other party would attack him; that way, he might be able to see his master’s demeanor in advance.

However, Heavenly Dao and Yousha completely ignored Big Yellow Dog’s provocation. Perhaps in their eyes, only each other existed, and everything else was just an ant.

“Myriad Manifestations Return to One, Heavenly Dao Sword!”

Heavenly Dao’s voice rang out, and immediately the heavenly lightning dissipated. Instead, the myriad manifestations of power between heaven and earth began to condense. Streaks of light converged from all directions, slowly forming a light sword.

These light spots came from mountains and rivers, sun, moon, and stars, flowers, plants, and trees, and countless things between heaven and earth.

The Heavenly Dao Sword exuded an aura that dispelled evil, as if it were a symbol of light and justice, containing infinite power of heaven and earth.

The Heavenly Dao Sword tore through the void, unleashing a sky-splitting sword beam towards Yousha below, opening up heaven and earth.

“Thousand Waves of Demonic Shadows!”

Yousha was not to be outdone. Black energy surged and churned, eventually forming black waves, each higher than the last, sweeping towards the sky.

After splitting several black waves, the Heavenly Dao Sword was no longer as unstoppable as it had been at first, but was slowly resisted by them.

It was as if it had fallen into a quagmire, its power and force greatly diminished.

“Break!”

Heavenly Dao roared, wanting to deliver a fatal blow. The light sword began to exert force, splitting through layers of giant waves, aiming to attack Yousha’s main body.

However, the difference between the two was not obvious; they were evenly matched, at least for now.

Therefore, no matter how hard the Heavenly Dao Sword tried, it could not successfully reach Yousha.

Niu Fei and the others watched with trembling hearts, filled with emotion.

Their previous smugness immediately subsided. Compared to these supreme existences between heaven and earth, they were still far behind.

However, as the two continued to fight and time passed, Yousha gradually noticed something amiss with Heavenly Dao.

It seemed to him that Heavenly Dao felt like someone who had just recovered from a serious illness and had not yet returned to his peak state.

But he did not act rashly, instead continuing to probe, fearing that the other party was deliberately showing him this, and that it was a trap.

But as the battle grew more intense, he finally confirmed that what he had sensed earlier was not an illusion; Heavenly Dao really had a problem.

A strange smile played on his lips, and he said sinisterly, “Heavenly Dao, it seems something happened during these years that I don’t know about. Why don’t you tell me?”

His words directly exposed the fact that the other party had deliberately hidden, attempting to find a loophole and deliver a fatal blow.
