105: Chapter 105 Qinglan City

The scene inside the city was even more bustling than outside.

On both sides of the wide bluestone streets, shops were lined up in rows, selling Medicinal Pills, Magical Artifacts, Talismans, Spiritual Plants, and all sorts of strange and curious trinkets.

Pedestrians on the street were shoulder to shoulder, with Cultivators in various attire coming and going—young and old, male and female—with cultivation levels ranging from the Qi Refining Stage to the Foundation Establishment Stage.

Li Changsheng observed as he walked, quietly committing the terrain to memory.

This was a habit he had developed over many years.

No matter where he went, he first familiarized himself with the environment so that if he encountered danger, he would know where to run.

After walking for about the time it takes an incense stick to burn, a vast courtyard appeared ahead.

A plaque hung above the courtyard entrance, with three large characters written on it.

“Qinglan Station”.

“We're here.”

Elder Zhang said, “This is our Qinglan Sword Sect's hostel.”

“We'll be staying here during the Exchange Meeting. Everyone, go inside, pick your own rooms, and gather in the front hall once you've settled in.”

Everyone filed inside.

Just as Li Changsheng was about to enter, he suddenly heard the sound of something cutting through the air behind him.

Looking back, a black Flying Boat was rapidly approaching from the horizon; its hull was as dark as ink and painted with eerie blood-red runes.

Blood Fiend Sect.

The Flying Boat landed at the hostel entrance, the hatch opened, and a group of people in black filed out.

The leader was tall and burly, with a face as pale as paper and blood-red eyes.

His aura was as deep as an abyss, and his cultivation... Qi Refining Level 9 Peak.

“Blood Butcher” Li Sha.

As Li Sha stepped down, his gaze swept over the people from the Qinglan Sword Sect at the door, lingering on Li Changsheng for a moment.

In that instant, Li Changsheng felt a cold killing intent envelop him, as if he were being watched by a venomous snake.

The corners of Li Sha's mouth slowly curled into a cold, sinister smile.

“Is he the kid Xu Sen mentioned?”

His voice was raspy and low, like sandpaper rubbing together.

A man in black beside him hurriedly whispered.

“Yes, it's him.”

“This Disciple saw him kill Senior Brother Xu with my own eyes, along with six of our brothers.”

Li Sha nodded.

His gaze remained on Li Changsheng, sizing him up as if looking at an object.

“Interesting.”

“Qi Refining Level 6? Able to kill Old Xu? Old Xu was at Qi Refining Level 8.”

He faintly sensed that Li Changsheng's cultivation was not low.

“It seems he's hidden his cultivation; it's said he's now at the Qi Refining Level 9 Early Stage.”

The man in black didn't dare say more, only lowering his head and saying.

“This Disciple saw it with my own eyes and would not dare to deceive you.”

Li Sha took another look at Li Changsheng, finally withdrew his gaze, and led his people toward the hostel.

As he passed by Li Changsheng, he suddenly stopped.

The two were less than three feet apart.

Li Sha turned his head, his blood-red eyes staring at Li Changsheng as he spoke slowly.

“Kid, I'll remember you.”

With that, he strode into the hostel.

The people in black behind him filed in after him.

As they passed Li Changsheng, they cast gazes that were either cold, curious, or gloating.

Li Changsheng stood where he was, his expression calm as if nothing had just happened.

But in his heart, alarm bells were ringing.

The people of the Blood Fiend Sect had indeed targeted him.

And they were watching him very closely.

“Brother Changsheng.”

Li Changqing walked to his side and whispered.

“That person...”

“I know.”

Li Changsheng interrupted her.

“Let's go. Let's head inside.”

Just as the two were about to enter, they suddenly heard a burst of laughter.

“Brother Li! Long time no see!”

Li Changsheng looked back and saw another Flying Boat approaching from the distance, landing not far away.

The hull was pale gold and painted with auspicious cloud patterns—the Jinyang Sect.

The Flying Boat's hatch opened, and a familiar figure jumped down.

Lin Jingyun.

With a face full of smiles, he quickly walked up to Li Changsheng and gave him a hug.

“Brother Li! I've missed you so much!”

Feeling a bit helpless being hugged, Li Changsheng gently pushed him away and said.

“Brother Lin, it's been over a year. I hope you've been well.”

Lin Jingyun chuckled, sized him up, and his eyes lit up.

“Qi Refining Level 9? Impressive!”

“Last time I saw you, you were only at Qi Refining Level 5. What kind of Spirit Pills or miraculous medicines did you take this year?”

Li Changsheng shook his head.

“Just good luck.”

“Modest!”

Lin Jingyun patted his shoulder.

“Let's go inside and chat. Oh, let me introduce someone to you.”

As he spoke, a stern-faced youth walked over, at the Qi Refining Level 9 Middle Stage, with a pitch-black longsword hanging at his waist.

“This is my Senior Brother, Zhou Yuan. You should have seen him at the Secret Realm.”

Lin Jingyun introduced, “Don't let his coldness fool you; he's actually not a bad person.”

Zhou Yuan glanced at Li Changsheng and nodded slightly as a greeting.

Li Changsheng nodded back.

At that moment, several more Flying Boats arrived from the horizon.

One was green, with a light hull painted with herbal patterns—the Medicine King Valley.

The hatch opened, and a group of Disciples in green robes filed out, led by a delicate-looking youth who was smiling and seemed very kind.

Behind him were several equally smiling Disciples, each carrying a faint fragrance of herbs.

“Yun Yifei of the Medicine King Valley.”

Lin Jingyun whispered.

“Don't be fooled by his gentle demeanor; he's actually a ruthless character.”

Lin Jingyun glanced at Yun Yifei, lowered his voice, and continued.

“It's said he's obsessed with Alchemy. Once, to test a pill, he locked himself in the Alchemy Room for three months.”

“When he came out, he was skin and bones, but his cultivation actually broke through a level.”

While Lin Jingyun was chatting with Li Changsheng, a pink Flying Boat slowly approached.

“Wow, Senior Brother Li, look! Beautiful women are here.”

Li Changsheng followed Lin Jingyun's gaze and saw a pale pink Flying Boat landing.

This small pink boat had an exquisite hull and elegant decorations, painted with lotus patterns—the Qingxin Pavilion.

The hatch opened, and a group of women in white drifted down.

Each was beautiful with a cold, elegant temperament, like Fairies from the Moon Palace.

The leader was dressed in white, with a stunning face and an ethereal aura, at the Qi Refining Level 9 Late Stage.

“Pure Heart Sword” Su Qianxue.

As soon as Su Qianxue landed, she saw Lin Jingyun staring excitedly with a dazed look, and a trace of disdain flashed in her eyes.

Her gaze swept over everyone present.

It lingered on Li Changsheng for a moment before she withdrew it and led her Junior Sisters toward the hostel.

Wherever she passed, everyone, male or female, couldn't help but steal a few extra glances.

Lin Jingyun was completely dazed until Zhou Yuan kicked him, bringing him back to his senses.

“Let's go,”

Zhou Yuan said expressionlessly.

“Head inside.”

Everyone entered the hostel.

The interior of the hostel was larger than it appeared from the outside.

It had three successive courtyards, east and west rows of Wing Rooms, and a spacious Martial Arts Field in the middle, large enough for dozens of people to Cultivate simultaneously.

The Disciples of the Qinglan Sword Sect were assigned to the East Courtyard, the Jinyang Sect to the West Courtyard, and those from the Medicine King Valley and Qingxin Pavilion to the South and North Courtyards.

As for the Blood Fiend Sect...

They stayed in the most remote northwest corner, far from everyone else.

Li Changsheng chose a Wing Room deep within the East Courtyard and pushed the door open.

The room wasn't large but was clean and tidy, with a bed, a table, and a chair—enough for his needs.

He looked around, put down his clothes and belongings, and was about to head out for a stroll.

Suddenly, he heard a commotion outside.

“What do you want?”

“Damn it, you trash.”

*Clang, bang...*

Li Changsheng came to the central courtyard and saw a crowd gathered on the Martial Arts Field, with the sounds of clashing weapons and angry shouting coming from the center.

He walked over, parted the crowd, and saw two young men fighting.

One was a Disciple of the Qinglan Sword Sect at Qi Refining Level 8, named Zhao Yuan.

The other was dressed in black, a member of the Blood Fiend Sect, also at Qi Refining Level 8.

The two were fighting fiercely, blades flashing and shadows dancing, neither giving an inch.

Nearby, people from the Blood Fiend Sect watched with folded arms, mocking smiles on their faces.

The Disciples of the Qinglan Sword Sect looked anxious, wanting to help but not daring to.

“What happened?”

Li Changsheng asked a Junior Brother nearby.

The Junior Brother whispered.

“Senior Brother Zhao was passing by just now and accidentally bumped into that person from the Blood Fiend Sect.”

“The man wouldn't let it go, saying things like ‘how dare trash from the Qinglan Sword Sect block the way,’ and then they started fighting.”

Li Changsheng's brow furrowed slightly.
