95: Luan Ting's initiative
Unexpectedly pulled by Luan Ting like that, Su Luoluo's entire body was immediately guided to lie down on the animal hide bedding.
Her plump body brushed past Luan Ting, feeling his rock-hard pectoral muscles.
She hadn't expected Luan Ting to look so gentle yet be so built.
One moment, Su Luoluo's mind was running wild, and the next, she felt her space becoming cramped and crowded.
The two pieces of animal hide bedding were placed together, and Luan Ting also lay down at this moment.
This side-by-side sleeping arrangement looked exactly like a normal husband and wife.
And Luan Ting's hand, resting on her, still hadn't let go.
Su Luoluo's breathing became a little tense.
This position... what was Luan Ting going to do?
Su Luoluo pursed her lips, just about to speak, when suddenly her waist was tightly embraced by Luan Ting, and his hand reached towards her neck... Was he going to... Su Luoluo's heart hammered rapidly, and her face flushed.
Why had Luan Ting suddenly become so forward?
What should she do now?
Should she just capture him?
Su Luoluo hesitated slightly.
Luan Ting pulled Su Luoluo's waist with one hand and dragged her neck closer with the other.
Then, his eyes glared furiously at the wild boar approaching ahead, and he released his Beast Transformation Aura.
A faint green light instantly lit up on his body. Su Luoluo, tightly held by Luan Ting, only felt the light above Luan Ting's head shining brightly green.
This scene looked utterly ridiculous to Su Luoluo; it was too much like being cuckolded!
She bit her lip, desperately wanting to laugh, but the next moment, she heard a howl.
Then, it was as if something heavy glanced at them and then left with heavy footsteps.
Su Luoluo realized something was wrong and quietly asked Luan Ting, “What happened?”
Luan Ting released his hand from Su Luoluo, then rolled over and said plainly, “Nothing, a wild boar came by.”
“A wild boar?”
Su Luoluo looked utterly embarrassed upon hearing this. So Luan Ting suddenly holding her so tightly wasn't because he wanted to... but because he was saving her.
Luckily, she hadn't made a move, or she would have been utterly humiliated.
Su Luoluo calmed herself slightly. After composing her thoughts, she looked at Luan Ting and suggested, “Should we light a fire?”
In Primitive Society, fire was not only used for cooking and keeping warm but also an important tool for driving away wild beasts.
Generally, if a fire was lit in an area, some beasts would be wary of it.
“When I arrived, I already looked around. There are no tall trees nearby, and very little firewood can be collected, so lighting a fire will be difficult.”
This area was surrounded by shrubs; Su Luoluo had almost forgotten until Luan Ting mentioned it again.
“Then we...” Su Luoluo glanced sideways at Luan Ting's back, momentarily unsure how to address their current sleeping position.
While she was still hesitating, Luan Ting turned his body toward her.
A pair of eyes, as gentle as water, entered Su Luoluo's line of sight, appearing even warmer under the bright moonlight.
He smiled gently, then reached out a hand and stroked Su Luoluo's dark hair, saying softly, “Don't worry, I'll just sleep beside you. You'll be fine.”
This head pat.
Su Luoluo felt her heart had never raced like a startled deer as it was now.
Thump—thump-thump.
Each beat was faster than the last.
It felt as if something was about to burst out of her chest.
On the vast wilderness, the wind was strong. Amidst the whistling wind, Su Luoluo felt her heart alternately warm and cold.
After Luan Ting finished speaking, he lowered his hand and closed his eyes.
Since the other party had closed his eyes, Su Luoluo couldn't keep staring at Luan Ting. She turned over and closed her eyes to sleep.
She couldn't sleep face-to-face with Luan Ting.
Otherwise, she felt she wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.
After counting nine hundred and ninety-nine sheep, Su Luoluo finally closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Hearing the shallow breathing of the sleeping woman, Luan Ting lifted his eyelids, saw Su Luoluo's hair being blown by the wind and her somewhat curvy figure, lowered his gaze, and then looked up at the moon above.
The wind was light, the moon was white, and the air carried a faint floral scent, allowing Su Luoluo to sleep very comfortably. She even found her fluffy toy, her Abei Bei, and couldn't help but rub her face against it a few times.
It wasn't until she felt the fur suddenly stand up and become less fluffy than before that Su Luoluo realized something was wrong.
She opened her eyes and glanced at the object in her hand.
Instantly, she released the gray wolf tail in her hand in utter shame.
What on earth had she done?
She had actually dragged Luan Ting's Wolf Tail into her arms, kissing and hugging it.
How embarrassing.
But the texture was too similar to her Abei Bei Wolf Tail toy from the Apocalypse.
Seeing Su Luoluo wake up, Luan Ting also got up.
As if what just happened was nothing, Luan Ting greeted her gently as always: “You're awake? I'm going to look for wild berries, do you want to come with me?”
Su Luoluo had been rubbing and kissing his Wolf Tail, so Luan Ting hadn't slept well all night and had woken up early.
He originally intended to get up and find some wild berries for breakfast, but seeing the indigo sky, which was almost black, he worried Su Luoluo would be scared if she couldn't find him, so he simply waited for her to wake up.
Su Luoluo was feeling embarrassed, so upon hearing Luan Ting's suggestion, she naturally agreed immediately.
Only by changing locations could her sense of embarrassment be relieved and diluted.
Hearing this, Luan Ting got up, gathered the animal hide bedding, folded it, and carried it on his back.
Su Luoluo saw him folding her animal hide bedding, quickly got off the animal hide bedding, folded her own animal hide bedding, and handed it to him.
Luan Ting put them away, scanned the surroundings, and pointed in one direction ahead, saying, “Let's go there!”
Su Luoluo followed him upon hearing that.
There were no tall trees here, but plenty of low shrubs and small vegetation. Many berries grew on the bushes, along with some small, round fruits the size of pearls, colored red, green, and blue.
Su Luoluo followed behind Luan Ting. Her early morning embarrassment instantly vanished upon seeing so many colorful wild berries, and she became excited.
There were Nightshade, Snakeberries, Raspberries, Mountain Raspberries, Cherokee Roses, Firethorn Berries, and Dian everywhere.
Seeing this, Su Luoluo felt like making a cake. These beautiful, round, and cute little fruits would look wonderful placed on top of a cake.
Su Luoluo didn't often pick wild berries, and Luan Ting was originally prepared to tell her how to distinguish which ones were edible and which were not.
Who knew that when she saw these wild berries, she acted like a frisky rabbit, eating everything she saw and having a great time, showing a bit more innocence and carefree joy than usual.
Moreover, she correctly identified all the wild berries. Seeing that Su Luoluo recognized the wild berries herself, Luan Ting stopped bothering her, lowered his head, and began picking wild berries too.
