187: Chapter 187 Let me feel the emotions in this music video first.

When Jiang Fan arrived at the Studio, it was just past nine.

Li Cheng was sharing a cup of milk tea with Zhou Yutong at the front desk; when he saw him walk in, he didn't even let go of the straw in his mouth.

"Brother Fan, morning."

"Yeah."

Jiang Fan walked straight into his office and shut the door.

He opened his computer, and the Word document was still at yesterday's stopping point.

Today, he was writing about the Gao Family Village.

Zhu Bajie had forced himself upon Miss Cuilan of the Gao family, so The Monkey King transformed into Cuilan, waiting for that fool to return.

Jiang Fan placed his fingers on the keyboard.

He had read this part of the story countless times in his past life, and every time he read it, it made him laugh.

Zhu Bajie was flying toward the back mountain with the bride that The Monkey King had transformed into, muttering sweet nothings—

"My dear wife, why are you a bit heavier tonight?"

Just then, The Monkey King transformed back into his original form on his back and struck his pig head with the Golden Cudgel.

It was incredibly smooth to write.

The corners of Jiang Fan's mouth remained curled up as he typed.

He got up once to eat and went to the bathroom twice, but other than that, his butt never left that chair.

At ten past six in the evening, Jiang Fan typed the final period and glanced at the word count in the bottom right corner.

Fifty thousand and three hundred words.

He saved the file and sent it via email.

He leaned back against the chair for two seconds, his neck gave a crack, and his task for the day was finally complete.

Song Siyi replied with a message half an hour later.

[Song Siyi: Zhu Bajie? What kind of setup is this? It's genius.]

Ten seconds later.

[Song Siyi: A lecherous, gluttonous pig demon becoming a monk? How did you come up with this??]

Jiang Fan didn't reply to her and shut down the computer.

Just then, Su Yuyan sent a message over.

[Su Yuyan: What time are you coming over? I've picked up the outfit.]

Jiang Fan replied with "Coming over now," grabbed his jacket, and headed out the door.

— —

At seven-thirty, Jiang Fan walked in.

Su Yuyan had already ordered food, and a table was set.

She was sitting at the dining table in loungewear, her hair tied up in a messy bun, revealing a section of her nape.

The two of them ate at the table.

"How much did you write today?"

"Over fifty thousand."

Su Yuyan's chopsticks paused mid-air as she was reaching for food.

"Fifty thousand words in one day?"

"Yeah. This part today flowed well, I couldn't stop."

"Impressive."

Su Yuyan glanced at him, picked the bones out of a piece of fish, and put it in his bowl.

After the meal, they tossed the dishes into the dishwasher.

Su Yuyan stood up and clapped her hands.

"Wait for me a second, I'm going to change."

She walked barefoot toward the bedroom, paused at the doorway, and looked back at him.

"Turn off two of the living room lights."

Jiang Fan got up and turned off the lights. Only a floor lamp remained in the corner of the living room, keeping the lighting very dim.

He sat back down on the sofa and poured a glass of water.

He waited for about seven or eight minutes.

The bedroom door opened.

The water glass in Jiang Fan's hand hung in mid-air.

It was a bright red ancient-style costume, the upper part clinging tightly to her waistline, with a crisscross V-neck, leaving everything from her collarbones to her chest exposed.

Below was a floor-length gauze skirt, with layers upon layers of red gauze that revealed the silhouette of her legs when she moved.

Her hair was completely let down—black hair paired with red clothes.

A thin golden ribbon was tied around her waist, accentuating her curves and making her naturally narrow waist appear even thinner.

Jiang Fan set the water glass down.

Su Yuyan walked to the middle of the living room and stood still, her bare feet pressing against the wooden floor.

The black nail polish on her toes was still there.

"I had this custom-made. I originally planned to wear it when we shoot the MV, but I wanted to test the effect today."

She raised her hand to brush her hair back, revealing her entire face.

"Help me turn on the sound system."

Jiang Fan walked over and played the song "Sigh" saved on the sound system.

The intro began, with the plucking of a guzheng and the soft, underlying electronic drum beat.

Su Yuyan closed her eyes.

Her body began to move.

It was different from the dance she did in front of the sofa last time; that time it was improvised, infused with the tipsiness of alcohol and flirtation.

This time, there was clearly some structure to it.

Her wrists turned, her fingertips tracing from her brow center to her chin, then down along her neck, stopping in the middle of her collarbones.

The movements weren't fast, with every frame hitting the beat perfectly.

Her toes tapped against the floor, and the red gauze swayed along with her.

When she turned, the golden tassels on her waistband swung out, exposing the lines of her back completely.

The chorus section.

"Forget, forget, forget it all, sway to my rhythm—"

Su Yuyan's lips moved slightly with the lyrics.

The movement of her hips became wider, her waist turned along with it, and the red gauze was whipped up, revealing her thighs.

A flash of white flickered within the red gauze.

The interlude.

She crouched down, one hand supporting herself on the floor, and tilted her head back.

Her long hair hung to the floor, and the neckline dipped down due to the position.

Jiang Fan sat on the sofa, not moving an inch.

In the final section, Su Yuyan spun around, the red skirt spreading across the floor, and she stopped facing him.

Her chest was heaving, and a light sheen of sweat beaded on her forehead.

The music stopped, and the living room was silent for a few seconds.

Su Yuyan wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, looking at him.

"How was it? Is there anything that needs changing?"

Jiang Fan's Adam's apple bobbed, but he didn't answer.

He leaned back into the sofa, both hands resting on the armrests, his eyes traveling from her face all the way to her toes, and then back up.

Su Yuyan felt a bit unnerved by his gaze.

"What are you looking at? Say something."

"I'm thinking about what angle to use for the MV shoot."

Su Yuyan looked down at herself; the neckline was indeed a bit too open, so she pulled it up slightly.

"Alright. I'm going to go change first, when I come back you can—"

She turned to leave.

Jiang Fan stood up, took a stride forward, and hooked his hand onto the golden ribbon around her waist, stopping her.

Su Yuyan's steps were cut short, her body leaning back against his chest.

"What are you doing? I'm going to change—"

"Don't change."

Jiang Fan's voice came from above her head, his breath hitting her ear.

"Keep this on. This is exactly the feeling I want."

Su Yuyan turned her head, looking up at him.

"What feeling?"

Jiang Fan's hand slid from her waist to her stomach, circling her completely.

His other hand traced slowly up along that golden waistband.

"The mood in the MV." He lowered his head, his lips brushing against her earlobe, "I need to feel it first."

Su Yuyan's back tensed, then relaxed.

"Jiang Fan, this outfit is really expensive, it cost thirty-eight thousand to custom-make—"

He turned her around, the hem of the red skirt swinging in a circle.

The two stood face-to-face, Jiang Fan's palm pressing against the tie at her lower back.

Su Yuyan looked up at him, her ears burning hot.

"You're like this every time, talking about serious business and then—"

The second half of her sentence was blocked off.

When Jiang Fan kissed her, his hand had already reached under the hem of the red gauze skirt.

Su Yuyan's hands pressed against his chest, pushing him, but she couldn't move him.

In the gap between their lips, she gasped for air.

"Be gentle... don't ruin it..."

Jiang Fan scooped her up horizontally, the red gauze trailing behind, sweeping across the floor.

Su Yuyan wrapped her arms around his neck, her voice laced with urgency.

"The bedroom—go to the bedroom—not on the sofa—"

— —

The red gauze spread out, covering most of the bed.

Jiang Fan hovered above her, looking at the sea of red beneath him.

Su Yuyan was stared at by him for several seconds; her face grew even hotter, and she turned her head away.

"...Have you seen enough yet?"

Jiang Fan untied the knot of her golden waistband, pulled the ribbon out, and tossed it to the side.

"You really are a charming enchantress."

Su Yuyan laughed in frustration and slapped his shoulder.

The red gauze was pushed up to her waist, piling up.

Jiang Fan's hand traveled all the way up from the inside of her knee, and Su Yuyan's leg trembled.

"Jiang Fan—be gentle—don't get the clothes dirty—mm..."

Su Yuyan bit down on her own wrist.

The red skirt spread out over the white bedsheets, swaying in waves with their movements.

— —

How much time had passed.

Su Yuyan lay on the bed, the red ancient-style costume still draped on her body, but it was already unrecognizable.

The neckline had been torn into a large gap, the gauze at the waist was ripped, and the golden tassels were nowhere to be found.

She lifted her face from the pillow.

"Jiang Fan. How can I still wear this?"

Jiang Fan lay beside her, reaching out to pull the gauze that had slipped off her back back up.

"We'll just have another one made exactly like it when we shoot the MV."

Su Yuyan huffed, rolled over, and wrapped herself in the quilt.

After a while, a voice came from inside the quilt.

"Did you feel the mood of the MV?"

Jiang Fan reached his hand into the quilt, found her waist, and gave it a squeeze.

"I felt it. Very deeply."

Su Yuyan kicked him from inside the quilt.

"Get lost."
