131: Chapter 131 How could I be content to stay in one place forever?

Three days later.

Su Cheng rode his Flying Sword, a streak of azure light cutting across the sky.

On this journey, he didn't deliberately hide his tracks, merely controlling his speed.

Ten days later, the towering mountain gate of the Tiangang Sect appeared in the distance.

He put away his Flying Sword and landed at the foot of the mountain, concealing his cultivation at the Qi Refining Fifth Layer before walking up the mountain.

The Mountain-guarding Disciples were the same ones as last time; seeing Su Cheng, their eyes held a hint of familiarity.

"So it is Young Master Su. Are you here to visit Elder Su?" one of the Disciples asked politely, the way he addressed Su Yunling having changed from 'Junior Sister' to 'Elder.'

Su Cheng nodded in response. "Indeed. Please inform her of my arrival."

The Disciple turned and headed inside the mountain gate. Before long, a moon-white figure came rushing out.

"Xiao Cheng!" Su Yunling's voice was filled with pleasant surprise as she quickly arrived before him.

Dressed in an Elder's Daoist robe, her elegant face had lost some of its youthful greenness, gaining a sense of composure and serenity.

Only when she reached her brother's side did Su Yunling show a bit of girlish excitement.

Her eyes shimmered as she carefully looked him over.

Su Cheng had grown a bit taller, his posture upright and his features increasingly handsome.

"Sis," Su Cheng replied softly, letting her pull his arm as a gentle smile appeared on his face.

Looking at his sister, Su Cheng felt a slight stir in his heart.

Though his sister's cultivation was at the Early Foundation Establishment Stage, it was exceptionally stable; she would likely Breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Mid-stage in just a few years.

Such an age and such cultivation were rare even in a century across the entire Qinghe Prefecture.

Now an Elder within the Sect, she presided over a peak alone. Although she hadn't taken any Disciples, she had gained great fame.

"Xiao Cheng, why didn't you let me know in advance?" Su Yunling chided slightly, though she couldn't hide the joy in her eyes.

She also observed her brother, finding that his aura had become increasingly restrained and elusive.

Over this year of cultivation, Su Cheng's dao foundation furnace had become more solid, and the purity of his creation spirit liquid had reached a new level.

With his cultivation suppressed to the Qi Refining Fifth Layer, an ordinary Foundation Establishment Cultivator would find it hard to discern his true depth.

If her father hadn't sent word to her, Su Yunling would have found it hard to believe her brother was already a Foundation Establishment Cultivator.

Su Yunling quickly reined in her excitement; she knew her brother always kept a low profile and didn't like to talk much in public.

People were coming and going at the mountain gate; it wasn't a place for conversation.

She reached out, naturally taking Su Cheng's arm, and whispered, "Xiao Cheng, this isn't the place to talk. Follow me."

Instead of leading him directly into the mountain gate, she took him on her Flying Sword toward a secluded spot on the mountainside.

Fifteen minutes later, the two arrived at a mountain hollow filled with towering ancient trees and jagged rocks.

Su Yunling let Su Cheng down and set up a sound-isolating formation. Instantly, the surrounding noise vanished, leaving only the whisper of the breeze through the treetops.

Only then did she turn to Su Cheng and ask, "Xiao Cheng, when you broke through to Foundation Establishment, did you comprehend any Concept?"

She recalled what her father had mentioned in his letter and couldn't help but feel a bit of regret.

Su Cheng smiled. "Sis, Concepts aren't that easy to comprehend. Let's not talk about that. How have you been lately? Has anyone in the Sect made things difficult for you?"

Seeing him change the subject, Su Yunling didn't press further.

She took Su Cheng's arm and found a flat bluestone to sit on, patting his hand as she spoke. "I'm doing very well. Since the Zhenpin Pavilion spoke up, everyone in the Sect has been much more polite to me.

"A few days ago, Vice President Liu sent a batch of cultivation resources. Even Revered Master said the Zhenpin Pavilion's generosity is truly rare."

She mentioned this while looking at Su Cheng, her voice tinged with pride.

"That's good then," Su Cheng nodded.

One of his reasons for coming was to confirm his sister's standing within the Sect.

It seemed everything was as he expected; with the Zhenpin Pavilion protecting her, she was very safe.

After the siblings chatted more about Family matters, Su Yunling asked again, "Xiao Cheng, do you have a specific reason for coming this time?"

Upon hearing this, Su Cheng's expression turned more serious. "Sis, I plan to visit the Prefecture City. With Father watching over the Family in secret, things should be fine. Now that my cultivation has reached Foundation Establishment, it's time for me to head out and see the world."

Su Yunling nodded. She knew the path of cultivation was long and like sailing against the current; one either advances or falls behind.

With her brother's Alchemy talent being so outstanding, how could he be content staying in one corner forever?

She had half a mind to recruit Su Cheng into the Tiangang Sect, but the Tiangang Sect was likely far from enough for her brother now.

After all, even the Four Seas Chamber of Commerce and the Zhenpin Pavilion were secretly controlled by him.

"The Prefecture City... it's a mix of dragons and snakes, with intertwined powers. It's a hundred times more complex than Qinghe Prefecture." Su Yunling couldn't help but worry; though she hadn't been to the Prefecture City, she had learned much through the Sect.

"Sis, don't worry, I know what I'm doing." Su Cheng smiled, not telling his sister his true plans.

He only said, "Once I'm in the Prefecture City, I'll contact the Four Seas Chamber of Commerce and the Lin Family. The Lin Family is a Golden Core Family; if anything happens, they still have some influence in the Prefecture City."

Hearing this, Su Yunling felt much more at ease. With the Lin Family's connection, her brother would at least face fewer overt troubles in the Prefecture City.

"You still need to be extra careful," she cautioned. "There are nine Golden Core families in the Prefecture City alone, and countless Foundation Establishment families.

"The four Nascent Soul Sects—the Giant Spirit Sect, Danding Sect, Xuanyin Sect, and Fentian Sect—are even greater behemoths.

"Even if you have some ties with the Lin Family, don't be too ostentatious.

"Especially the Danding Sect; they are the most xenophobic. The Alchemists there are incredibly arrogant. Once provoked, the subsequent trouble is endless."

Su Cheng listened intently to his sister's advice, silently noting the information.

He certainly knew the complexity of the Prefecture City; compared to Qinghe Prefecture, that was where one truly entered the middle layers of the cultivation world.

"I understand. Sis, you also need to Cultivate diligently and reach the Golden Core stage soon. Only then will the Su Family's position in Qinghe Prefecture be truly unshakable." Su Cheng countered.

The siblings chatted a bit more. Su Yunling brought out some second-grade spiritual materials and Magical Artifacts she no longer needed, wanting Su Cheng to take them for protection, but he politely declined.

Neither of them lacked cultivation resources now; instead, they were both looking out for each other.

As the sun began to set, Su Cheng rose to take his leave.

He had only come to let her know he was safe and to inform her of his plans, lest she hear it from elsewhere later and worry needlessly.

"Xiao Cheng, have a safe journey." Su Yunling deactivated the Formation and stood at the entrance of the mountain hollow, watching her brother's figure disappear into the deep forest, her heart filled with both reluctance and hope.

After leaving the Tiangang Sect, Su Cheng didn't delay any further and set off directly for Tianlan Prefecture City.

In half a month's time, he had crossed vast distances and reached his destination.

The grand scale of Tianlan Prefecture City was far beyond what the Qinghe Prefecture City could compare to.

Although he had been here once before, it still left Su Cheng feeling awestruck.

Everywhere he looked were pavilions reaching into the clouds, and the wide streets were teeming with people.

Various streaks of light frequently cut across the sky, and even in the roadside wine shops and teahouses, one could often see Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivators coming and going.

Su Cheng found an inn to stay at and began to organize his plan for establishing himself in the Prefecture City.
