6: Chapter 6 First Entry into the Divine Kingdom

Nighttime.

Liu Yang was already asleep.

His snoring was deafening.

Shen Ye lay on his bunk for a while, staring at the bed frame of the upper bunk, unable to sleep.

It wasn't because of the snoring—he had been listening to Liu Yang's snoring for three years and had long since gotten used to it.

It was because, deep within his consciousness, those two Divine Kingdoms were constantly operating.

Like two hearts, one bright and one dark, beating in unison.

He sat up, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes. His consciousness sank into the Divine Kingdom.

Land of Cultivation.

An expanse of one hundred square kilometers unfolded in his consciousness; every inch of land, every wisp of spiritual energy, and every member of the kin were within his perception.

Three months of Divine Kingdom time had passed since the Spirit Field was completed.

The first batch of spirit plant seeds sown by the Wood Spirit Root Kin had broken through the soil, and their tender green sprouts trembled slightly under the radiance of the spiritual light.

The irrigation canals channeled by the Water Spirit Root Kin from the Spirit Spring divided into dozens of tiny tributaries, evenly distributing the Spirit Spring water to every ridge of the field.

The Earth Spirit Root Clan were loosening the soil and weeding between the Spirit Fields, their movements clumsy but focused.

It had been less than ten days since their birth, yet they had already spontaneously formed a division of labor—some were responsible for sowing, some for irrigation, and some for tending.

No one had taught them; it was the will of the Divine Kingdom itself guiding them.

On the mountain of the Five Elements Array Eye: Metal, the Metal Spirit Root Kin had begun their introductory training in sword cultivation.

That golden sword energy, which shot into the sky from the top of the array eye, released a baptism of sword intent every six hours.

The baptism covered the entire mountain, and all the Metal Spirit Root Kin sat cross-legged within it, absorbing the sword intent and tempering their own spiritual power.

Shen Ye could perceive that their cultivation level was slowly increasing—at the early stage of Qi Refining, still some distance from the middle stage, but the direction was correct.

The Fire Spirit Root Kin had set up camp at the dead volcano.

They extracted fire marrow from the earthly fire and used it to forge the most basic spiritual ores.

Shen Ye saw that they had built the first simple furnace out of stones—it couldn't yet be called a building, just a stone pit capable of gathering earthly fire.

But the sight of the Fire Spirit Root Kin busily working around the stone pit already showed the rudimentary prototype of a workshop.

After building a reservoir and irrigation canals by the Spirit Spring, the Water Spirit Root Kin began to explore the source of the Spirit Spring.

The Spirit Spring gushed out from a fissure in a cliff, and deep within the fissure, there were faint, more concentrated fluctuations of spiritual energy.

The eldest among the Water Spirit Root Kin—in the image of a white-haired old man—led several young ones to dig inward along the fissure.

The Earth Spirit Root Clan had dug their dwelling to the first branch of a spiritual vein.

The branch was very thin, and the spirit stones it produced were only of Mortal-grade low quality, with only three or four condensing each day.

However, the Earth Spirit Root Clan cherished this branch vein deeply; they built the first simple spirit stone mine around it, wove mining baskets from vines provided by the Wood Spirit Root Kin, and hauled the extracted raw spirit stone ore out of the mine, basket by basket.

Shen Ye's consciousness flowed over every member of the kin.

He could sense their emotions—the Metal Spirit Root Kin were excited when absorbing the sword intent.

The Wood Spirit Root Kin were joyful when seeing the seeds sprout.

The Water Spirit Root Kin were persistent when digging for the source of the Spirit Spring.

The Fire Spirit Root Kin were focused in front of the furnace.

The Earth Spirit Root Clan were composed deep within the mine.

These were not scattered individual emotions, but a unified, upward-striving vitality.

Like an infant opening its eyes for the first time, full of curiosity and longing for this world.

Shen Ye withdrew his consciousness and sank downward.

Passing through the boundary of the Land of Cultivation, he entered the Land of Gods and Demons.

Mist.

Gray-black mist enveloped the entire world.

But the range of the mist was shrinking—no, not shrinking; it was retreating outward.

The boundary of the Land of Gods and Demons was expanding, and the center of this expansion was those few buildings he had left behind earlier.

Mortal-grade high-quality Spirit Spring.

Fine-grade high-quality Spirit Field.

Rare-grade high-quality Five Elements Array Eye: Metal.

Epic-grade high-quality heavenly tribulation platform.

Mortal-grade high-quality Holy Light Altar.

Mortal-grade high-quality Abyss Altar.

The six buildings were scattered throughout the Land of Gods and Demons, separated by tens of kilometers from each other.

But Shen Ye could perceive that some kind of connection was forming between them—not a physical connection, but a resonance on the energy level.

The spiritual energy produced by the Spirit Spring was absorbed by the Spirit Field, and the spirit plant residue produced by the Spirit Field was converted into auxiliary materials for Holy Light crystals by the Holy Light Altar.

The sword energy of the Five Elements Array Eye: Metal would occasionally strike into the dark purple halo of the Abyss Altar; the moment the two forces collided, they did not annihilate each other, but produced a fleeting, twilight glow between gold and purple.

Twilight.

Although it was only for an instant, Shen Ye caught it.

The angels had built a camp around the Holy Light Altar.

It was not a building, but simple dwellings enclosed by fragments of Holy Light crystals.

Five hundred angels were organized according to a certain natural hierarchy—there was only one six-winged angel, and she was the one who was born from the Holy Light first.

She stood at the highest point of the Holy Light Altar, her wings fully spread behind her, every feather absorbing the Holy Light released by the altar.

There were nine four-winged angels, surrounding the six-winged angel with their wings half-spread, as if receiving some kind of inheritance.

The remaining two-winged angels were scattered throughout the camp; some were condensing Holy Light crystals, some were tempering their wings with Holy Light, and some were kneeling before the altar in prayer.

The camp of the succubi was completely different.

They did not build fixed dwellings, but roamed within the mist surrounding the Abyss Altar.

The Charm Envoy—the one among the succubi who first completed her first advancement—had a more solid form than the other succubi, with dark purple abyss patterns extending from the corners of her eyes to her collarbone, and then spreading to her arms.

She did not stand in one place issuing orders, but constantly moved within the mist; wherever she passed, the newborn succubi would stop their work and bow their heads to her.

The Abyss Altar operated slowly behind them, its dark purple halo pulsing like a heartbeat, and every flash produced an Abyss crystal.

Shen Ye's consciousness lingered in the Land of Gods and Demons for a long time.

He noticed one thing—the time flow rate of the Land of Gods and Demons was perfectly synchronized with the Land of Cultivation.

One day in the outside world was two years here.

Double Time acted upon both Divine Kingdoms simultaneously.

What did this mean? It meant that his two Divine Kingdoms were not one fast and one slow, but advancing side by side.

Seven hundred and thirty years in the Cultivation Divine Kingdom was also seven hundred and thirty years in the Land of Gods and Demons.

Two civilizations, the same developmental time.

With a thought, his consciousness touched the Spirit Field in the Cultivation Divine Kingdom.

The attribute panel of the Spirit Field unfolded in his mind—Fine-grade low-quality, 50% increase in spirit plant growth rate, annual output of fifty batches of Mortal-grade spirit plants.

The Wood Spirit Root Kin were working in the Spirit Field, and the tender sprouts of the first batch of spirit plants were already an inch high.

Just at the moment his consciousness touched the Spirit Field, a resonance came from deep within the Land of Gods and Demons.

He "saw" it—in the mist of the Land of Gods and Demons, that Fine-grade high-quality Spirit Field was operating.

There were no kin farming it, but the Spirit Field was not abandoned. The angels had split off a small team of two-winged angels, using Holy Light to form a plow, tilling the soil in the Spirit Field.

The succubi ground the Abyss crystals produced by the Abyss Altar into powder and sprinkled them into the Spirit Field as fertilizer.

Holy Light and the Abyss were simultaneously nourishing the same Spirit Field.
