Chapter 30: Rebecca Drunk

The two of them had to wait for the next meeting.

"Go to the location I sent you tomorrow afternoon. I'll take you to meet another teammate and discuss the action plan."

After adding Lucy's contact information, Rocky sent the location of his warehouse to Lucy. "Yeah."

Lucy responded, then took out a cigarette from her pocket and prepared to light it. The sudden commission made her not completely calm yet, so she prepared to smoke a cigarette to calm down. The cigarette was brought to her lips, and Lucy's hand paused again. She glanced at Rocky and asked.

"Do you smoke?"

Rocky and her are now teammates, and he isn't a kid like David. Lucy still chose to respect Rocky and asked if he minded.

"I don't smoke. But it's okay, you can smoke, I don't mind."

Rocky didn't have the habit of smoking. Although he didn't like the smell of cigarettes, he was used to people smoking next to him. As long as the scent wasn't too strong, he could accept it.

Lucy heard that Rocky didn't mind and wasn't pretentious, so she lit the cigarette directly. As the smoke lingered, Lucy's heart gradually calmed down.

She didn't know if her choice was right, but since this step had been taken, there was nothing to worry about.

At this time, a strong man walked up to them; it was Maine.

"Cyberware doctor? Why are you here? It seems that you two know each other? Lucy, this is your share of the money."

A stream of data flashed in Maine's eyes, and he transferred the reward that belonged to Lucy for this mission to him.

Lucy nodded after receiving the money and responded: "We just met."

Knowing that the two had just met, Maine was no longer confused. Although he didn't know how Rocky hooked up with Lucy, the ice beauty, he wouldn't interfere in their affairs.

Maine turned and left, and Lucy asked. "Maine called you a ripperdoc?"

Since Rocky was a friend of Rebecca, it wasn't strange for Maine to know him. What made her curious was Maine's name for him.

"Yes, I sell cyberwares for surgery, and occasionally work part-time as a cyberpunk. My clinic is there."

Rocky pointed in the direction of the clinic and said openly.

"Then I must be crazy to choose to go to the Konpeki Plaza to kill people with a ripperdoc." Lucy smiled with a hint of ridicule.

"Who said it wasn't?"

"Okay, I'll go back first. See you tomorrow."

After finishing a cigarette, Lucy waved her hand and stood up, and walked forward.

Lucy was originally waiting for Maine to transfer the reward. In fact, she didn't like the noisy atmosphere here. She preferred to sit quietly and look up at the beautiful starry sky.

Lucy's home is in the apartment building in front. She can walk back home in two steps. She doesn't have to wait for Falco to pick her up, so she often goes back by herself. Maine and the others are used to it.

"See you tomorrow."

Having completed his task, Rocky didn't stop Lucy. After all, they weren't very familiar with each other and didn't have much to talk about. Anyway, as long as they established contact, there would be plenty of time to discuss life.

He called Jacky and told him that the hacker thing had been done, and he didn't have to worry about it anymore.

He also sent the address of the warehouse to Jacky and agreed on a time, and Rocky hung up the phone.

Seeing that the place around him was empty, Rocky could only get up.

People were still so happy at this time, but Rocky wasn't interested in joining them. Looking in the direction of Rebecca, he found that Rebecca seemed to be lying on the bar.

Rocky walked over and found that Rebecca was lying on the bar. I don't know if she fell asleep. "Did she drink too much? This guy is too careless." Rocky muttered.

What Rocky didn't know was that this seemed to be the first time Rebecca had drunk so much.

But there was no need to worry about Rebecca, because Maine and the others were nearby. And although the people drinking here were mixed, they all knew Rebecca to some extent.

Rebecca wasn't as easy to talk to as Lucy. If anyone dared to provoke her, she'd point a gun at them the next second, so no one came to cause trouble, and most people didn't like her.

Rebecca didn't bury her head in her arms, but lay on her side with her eyes closed. Rocky stood beside Rebecca, looking at her face.

Under the neon lights of the car bar, Rebecca's slightly tipsy face looked particularly cute and attractive.

Rocky couldn't help it, stretched out his right hand, and gently placed it on Rebecca's head. The soft touch of Rebecca's hair came, but before Rocky could feel it, after being hit, the subordinate's body moved. "Uh... Rebecca, it's me." Rocky looked at the pink and green painted pistol against his chin and explained hurriedly.

Rebecca just drank too much and felt a little dizzy. She lay down to rest for a while, but she wasn't drunk.

In addition, as a cyberpunk, Rebecca took out her pistol and pointed it at the culprit as a conditioned reflex when she felt someone touching her. "Hey, it's L. Is there something wrong?" Rebecca woke up and realized it was Rocky, and put down the pistol against Rocky.

"Nothing, I just saw you lying there and was a little worried about your condition, so I patted you. And you drank so much and just lay here, I was afraid you'd be in danger." Rocky explained without blushing.

"So that's how it is, but don't worry, you see I react very quickly, if it were someone else they'd have been shot by now."

After hearing Rocky's explanation, Rebecca didn't bother about why Rocky shot her head instead of her shoulder; she smiled and shook the pistol in her hand at Rocky.

"Haha. It's really amazing, it seems I was too worried." "No, at least I know you care about me, L. I'm thrilled."

At this time, Rebecca had a cute smile on her slightly drunk face, and even Rocky was a little stunned.

After staring at Rebecca for a while, Rocky said, "By the way, Rebecca, it's not good to drink so much. Do you want to go for a drive in Night City to sober up?"

Originally, Rocky planned to go back to the clinic to finish making the serum, but looking at Rebecca's appearance at this time, the slightly accelerated heartbeat made Rocky feel that making the serum didn't seem so urgent.

"Good suggestion. This is the first time I've been drunk and felt dizzy. I should sober up. But I have to tell them first. Let's go."

Rebecca supported her head and accepted Rocky's suggestion. Jumping off the seat, Rebecca brought Rocky to Pilar.

"Brother, I have to go first. You don't have to wait for me."

Rebecca's voice reached Pilar's ears, and Pilar, who was still talking and laughing with others, also shifted his attention.

"Huh? Rebecca, what are you talking about? And who's this guy? What are you going to do with him?

Hey, boy, I'm telling you, you'd better know what you're doing. Don't think you can touch my sister just because you look good. I warn you, I don't even know you. If you dare..."

"Shut up!"
