107: Holy beast defense, divine equipment upgrade

Just seeing the BOSS once nearly exhausted all of Lin Ye's trump cards.

For anyone else?

They wouldn't even have thequalifications to glance at the BOSS from afar.

The Star Sea.

Not everyone can brave it.

The Space-Time Storm.

Not everyone can play with it.

Now, facing such a behemoth,

Lin Ye felt like he was standing on a mountain.

And the enemy was that mountain.

"Just chop first!"

Lin Ye raised his Hellfire Sword and cleaved it onto the Star Devouring Beast's smooth outer skin.

Pfft!

The blade immediately cut a several-meter-long crack in the ground.

No blood.

No damage numbers appeared either.

Was this incredibly thick layer of outer skin the Star Devouring Beast's outer armor?

"This is troublesome..."

Lin Ye immediately had Phantom draw his bow and nock an arrow, and dozens of arrows rained down.

Pfft pfft pfft~

The arrows shot directly into the outer skin, but stopped after only a few meters. The explosions that followed were just two soft 'pffts', completely failing to dislodge the outer armor, seeming to cause no pain or itch.

"No, time is limited. Arrows aren't as effective as sword slashes."

Lin Ye's mind raced.

He gripped his sword and slashed down.

Swish swish swish~

In an instant, he unleashed dozens of slashes, each one breaking through several meters of thick outer armor.

At the same time.

He summoned Phantom.

And his Illusionary Body also came.

They chopped together!

The Hell Black Flame attached to the sword blade suddenly burst into a roaring blaze.

The Star Devouring Beast's outer armor burned in the Hellfire, emitting a rich, greasy aroma, followed by a series of explosions.

Boom boom boom!

The violent impact of the Hellfire actually peeled back layers of the surrounding outer armor, spreading the black Hellfire over a larger area.

"Good~"

Lin Ye finally saw results.

His movements became even faster.

However.

With a deep, piercing roar, the ground beneath his feet suddenly trembled.

"It broke free again?"

Lin Ye calculated the time in his head; it had only been two seconds at most.

Consuming 100 time-space crystals only controlled it for two seconds?

Again!

Lin Ye once again used Time Theft.

He increased the dose.

200 time-space crystals!

[Woo-hmph......!!!!]

The Star Devouring Beast immediately let out a high-pitched cry, its high-frequency sound waves making Lin Ye a little dizzy. As for the skill he had just cast, it hadn't even controlled it for a second.

"Tsk, the BOSS's control tenacity is truly a bit abnormal."

Lin Ye gave up.

time-space crystals weren't something to be wasted; if he kept using them like this, no amount would be enough.

Let's try upgrading!

There were still many time crystals.

.......

Two Mythical equipment upgrades.

Durability fully restored.

At the same time.

Lin Ye's attributes also gained an additional 100%.

Physical damage increased.

Hellfire damage increased accordingly.

This time.

Forward Time, Forward Light, all activated!

Lin Ye, with Phantom and his Illusionary Body, chopped downwards all the way.

The Chronal Eye.

It guided him to the location of the core deep within the Star Devouring Beast's body.

"100 seconds!"

Lin Ye calculated in his mind; he had at most 100 seconds left.

If he couldn't kill the BOSS, he would never have another chance.

At the same time.

The Star Devouring Beast's terrifying, mountain-like body flipped in mid-air, turning upside down, and slammed its back directly into the vast Star Sea.

Regarding this.

Lin Ye, however, smiled.

"Slam all you want, if you have the guts, turn off the space-time barrier and let the turbulence in. We'll see who dies first!"

Earlier.

Lin Ye didn't want it to return to the sea, so he forcibly controlled it.

Later, he realized he couldn't control it.

That's when he understood.

The Star Devouring Beast itself also needed the space-time barrier to defend against the Star Sea's turbulence, otherwise, it would also sink and face death in the Star Sea's turbulence.

Therefore.

As long as he killed fast enough, even if it returned to the Star Sea, it wouldn't matter.

Bang!

Such a colossal creature slammed heavily into the Star Sea, crushing countless demonic beasts, and pulverizing an unknown number of stars within it.

"Is this guy trying to crash into me and kill me?"

Lin Ye's current position had already broken through thousands of meters of the Star Devouring Beast's outer armor, so he naturally didn't care.

However, his body suddenly jolted with the impact, and then he immediately fell into a daze.

After a few seconds.

He reacted.

Lin Ye immediately used Phantom to cast Spatial Shift, returning to his original position.

Looking at his health bar again.

It had also dropped a segment.

"Holy crap, it really can crash into people and kill them?"

Lin Ye was shocked.

He had been hacking for a long time, and the Star Devouring Beast hadn't made any moves, making him think this BOSS, like all large creatures, would immediately enter an 'ant gnawing elephant' state once someone got close, unable to retaliate.

Now it seemed.

The Star Devouring Beast's methods were indeed few.

But you couldn't say they were ineffective.

How thick its health bar was remained a question mark.

It slamming down with such force would at most give him a scratch, but whether others could survive, that was hard to say.

"Almost there..."

Lin Ye, with a flurry of slashes, was about to penetrate the Star Devouring Beast's interior.

At this moment.

The Hell Black Flame, spreading with each explosion, had almost covered half of the Star Devouring Beast's head.

[Woo woo woo woo, hmm......!!!!]

The Star Devouring Beast also had a soul; facing the scorching of the Hell Black Flame, it was already in such agony that it was almost insane.

After falling into the sea.

It flicked its tail.

And immediately began to dive into the depths of the Star Sea.

Its speed.

Was completely inconsistent with its massive size.

Beneath the Star Sea.

It appeared incredibly small. With a few tail flicks, it aimed its head towards a drifting continent in the Star Sea.

"Misaligned Time!"

Lin Ye's Chronal Eye couldn't be activated anymore. He judged the time himself, misaligning the stun from the impact.

"Ha, perfect evasion."

Lin Ye was even more reckless now.

A few consecutive slashes.

Finally pierced through the Star Devouring Beast's outer armor.

Before him.

It wasn't normal flesh and blood, but a wall shimmering with metallic luster.

Looking at the degree of the wall's luster, let alone seams, not even a small pit could be found.

Lin Ye slashed with his sword.

Clang~

The metal wall actually generated a parrying effect automatically, directly deflecting the Hellfire Sword.

"Is this the defense of a Holy Beast?"

Lin Ye acknowledged it.

It was indeed worthy of being an existence that could roam freely in the Star Sea, enduring Space-Time Storms to hunt.
