134: Mirror Abyss

Wild Abyss, 99th floor.

The Lord of the End was currently seated on the throne at the very bottom of the Wild Abyss.

He looked down at the countless unconscious Abyss creatures below, who were prostrating themselves before him.

However, he gazed up at the seemingly endless dark sky of the Abyss with a worried expression.

“Oh my goodness! I’ve already cleared this Wild Abyss.”

“But I still can’t find my way back.”

“Sigh, this so-called Lord of the Wild Abyss, although his strength is decent, he’s just too stubborn. He wouldn’t reveal a single useful piece of information even when beaten to death.”

“I wonder when I’ll be able to return to my original place, or wait for my main body to rescue me.”

“Most importantly! This Wild Abyss actually doesn’t recognize me as its Overlord, which prevents me from randomly opening new worlds.”

“This is outrageous, does this place even discriminate?”

Suddenly, “Thump, thump, thump!” A rapid series of footsteps approached.

“Lord Overlord! A passage has been found! A passage has been found!”

In the distance, a Wild Lord with 12 arms ran over in a panic.

Upon hearing this, the Lord of the End immediately perked up.

This 12-armed Lord was originally the overlord of the 98th floor, and after a few lessons from him, he obediently pledged allegiance.

In this Abyss, full of low-intelligence creatures, having a subordinate who could speak was indeed rare, and certainly better than idling alone.

He slowly rose from the throne, his black robe fluttering without wind, and a hint of crimson light flashed in his eyes beneath the mask.

“A passage?” His voice was low and dangerous. “You’d better not be playing games with me.”

The 12-armed Lord shivered in fright, all twelve arms raising in unison to show submission:

“N-no, I wouldn’t dare! It’s a spatial rift that suddenly appeared at the bottom of the blood pool on the 98th floor!”

No sooner had he spoken than the Lord of the End’s figure vanished from the spot, leaving only a blurry afterimage.

The 12-armed Lord froze for a moment, then quickly used his six legs to desperately give chase.

When the Lord of the End arrived at the blood pool on the 98th floor, he saw the pool water churning violently, as if boiling.

And at the bottom of the pool, there was indeed a small spatial rift. Although it looked tiny, it exuded extremely violent energy fluctuations.

The Lord of the End fell silent after sensing it.

This spatial passage actually led to another Abyss.

Upon realizing this, the corner of his mouth twitched uncontrollably.

“This isn’t right… why is it an Abyss?”

“This couldn’t be the prelude to me becoming an Abyss Overlord, could it?”

“Could it be that when my main body finally overcomes countless hardships and clears the Abyss to rescue me later…”

“...he’ll find that I’ve already ascended to the throne of the Limitless Abyss Overlord?”

“But on second thought, that doesn’t sound so bad… Ahem, bad my foot!”

Although the Lord of the End knew he possessed seven golden materials.

He was well aware that even dealing with the Abyss Overlord of the Wild Abyss required some effort to win.

Moreover, the Wild Abyss was merely a minor player in the entire Limitless Abyss, almost negligible.

In other words, although his strength was decent, compared to the entire Limitless Abyss, he was just a slightly larger ant.

Therefore, those previous thoughts were purely wishful thinking and completely unrealistic.

However, at this moment, the Lord of the End was still hesitant:

Should he enter the Abyss passage before him or not?

If he entered and the Abyss on the other side was terrifyingly powerful, then he would be finished.

But if he didn’t go, he lacked the ability to forcibly open a spatial passage.

To make matters worse, the only one who could open a passage was accidentally killed by him.

After an intense internal struggle, the Lord of the End finally sighed and stepped inside.

After all, staying here offered no benefits, so he might as well venture into other Abysses.

Anyway, even if he died, he had already slaughtered so many Abyss creatures, which could be considered a gain for his main body.

The moment the Lord of the End stepped into the spatial rift, an unprecedented sense of distortion swept through his entire body.

This sensation was completely different from the spatial jumps he experienced when traversing the various layers of the Wild Abyss before.

He felt as if he was on the edge of dimensional tearing, with countless invisible forces pulling at every inch of his flesh, like thousands of hands tugging at him simultaneously.

“Hmph!”

The Lord of the End snorted coldly, and a wave of dark energy instantly erupted around him.

The invisible tearing forces were shattered in an instant, and the scene before him gradually cleared.

This was a world composed of countless mirrors, each reflecting different lights and shadows. Some mirrors even showed scenes from other Abyss layers.

And at the center of all the mirrors, a crystal palace floated, its surface shimmering with seven-colored chaotic light.

“Welcome to Myriad Mirrors Abyss.”

An ethereal and mysterious aura permeated the surroundings. The Lord of the End looked around and saw an identical figure appearing in countless mirrors.

It was a humanoid creature pieced together from prisms, its face having only three constantly rotating triangular light points, emitting a cold glow.

“You are the Lord of this layer?”

The Lord of the End narrowed his eyes, his tone carrying a hint of scrutiny.

“Lord?”

The entity in the mirror let out a series of clear, bell-like laughs, and then, all the mirrors rippled subtly.

“I am but one of the Myriad Mirrors Abyss Overlord’s countless clones.”

“Currently, my main body is battling the Eternal Dark Demon God on the ninety-ninth hundredth floor.”

Before he finished speaking, the mirror surface beneath the Lord of the End’s feet suddenly became soft.

His body slowly sank downwards, and at the same time, countless translucent arms stretched out from the mirrors and coiled around his body.

Even more unsettling was that he could clearly feel his power being drained little by little by these arms.

“Courting death!”

The Lord of the End roared, slamming his right fist into the mirror.

However, the force that could destroy an entire mountain only stirred a few ripples. Not only did it fail to damage the mirror, but it also made him sink faster.

In an instant, his dark battle armor had sunk more than halfway into the mirror.

“Futile struggle, weakling from a lower plane.”

Thousands of voices spoke in unison, flooding his ears like a tide.

“In Myriad Mirrors Abyss, every attack is converted into mirror energy.”

“Your resistance will only make you sink faster.”

Upon hearing this, the Lord of the End stopped moving.

The corner of his mouth beneath the mask curved slightly, revealing a dangerous smile.

“Converting energy? How interesting…”

He actually relaxed his body on purpose, allowing the mirror to swallow him bit by bit until it reached his neck.

The moment the last edge disappeared, the entire mirror world suddenly trembled violently!
