42: Chapter 42 The Tragic Female Insect's Nobleman 4
"It's telling me to move out immediately, isn't it? I'm fine, Mervyn."
His tone was flat and devoid of emotion, yet his eyes still held a trace of sorrow from being misunderstood and reviled by everyone.
Mervyn felt even more heartbroken watching this; he had been by His Highness's side the whole time and knew the truth of the matter better than anyone.
Having grown up by his mother's side and been cared for since childhood by himself, a retired Military Zerg, His Highness had always held Military Zerg in high regard.
That was why, even though he had been the one nearly offended and had suffered psychological trauma as a result,
he had never blamed Bo Yisi, believing that Bo Yisi had simply been schemed against by bad Zerg. Not only did he step forward to save Bo Yisi, but he later pulled strings and exhausted his efforts to send him back to the military.
Mervyn felt like tearing up just thinking about it; His Highness was so kind, so why...
Never before had Mervyn felt so determined; he had to protect His Highness.
"Your Highness, Mervyn will always stay by your side, no matter when or where."
Upon hearing this, Lu Zhan's cold, indifferent silver eyes were tinged with a hint of warmth, though he still shook his head slightly.
"Mervyn, there's no need for that. You've already done enough for me. I am nothing but trouble and a burden now. If you follow me, you will be implicated, and life will be very difficult."
These words, clearly self-deprecating, were filled with gentleness and concern for Mervyn.
His Highness was still the same; while he looked cold and noble on the surface, he was actually the kindest and softest at heart. Even in his current state, he was still worrying about him.
"It's okay, Your Highness, don't worry. Mervyn is just from a poor, common background; as long as you don't despise me, it's fine."
"How could I despise you? Mervyn, at a time like this, you are the only one willing to stay."
As he spoke, he gestured for Mervyn to look at the now-empty contact list on his optical computer.
Mervyn felt both heartbroken and furious, but finally calmed down under the soothing gaze of His Highness.
"It's alright, Mervyn. I don't care. Let's go, let's leave this place."
Mervyn nodded, picked up the suitcase to the side, and helped His Highness pack a full case of daily necessities and clothing.
Lu Zhan stood quietly in place, watching. In this Small World, apart from his mother, Mervyn was the person who had spent the most time with him.
On this sunny afternoon, the once noble eldest son of the Carlisle Family, an A-rank His Highness, was driven out by the Carlisle Family, leaving the elegant and exquisite manor he had lived in for many years.
He left all alone, accompanied only by a servant Military Zerg, who was dragging a suitcase.
...
In the interstellar space far from the Imperial Star, a massive fleet of warships was traveling through the vast and boundless Universe. Viewed from afar, they were arranged in a diamond shape, and the one in the middle had a dominating design, appearing several times larger than the ordinary ones.
At the core of the massive warship lay a bedroom belonging to Marshal Bo Yisi, fully equipped with everything necessary; although not luxurious, it had everything it should have.
Inside the bedroom, seated upright on a chair behind a desk was a tall Military Zerg with thick, jet-black hair, sharp features, and a cold, handsome face. An icy, overbearing aura surrounded him, yet he seemed to be resting with his eyes closed.
At one moment, the Military Zerg suddenly opened his eyes—a pair of pure black eyes, sharp and profound, shining with an unyielding and rebellious light; even while sitting silently, he remained poised for action.
Knock... knock...
It turned out that the sound of knocking had awakened the Military Zerg.
"Marshal, some information and documents have been sent from the Empire regarding you, and they require your opinion."
The respectful voice of Adjutant Joyce drifted into the bedroom through the closed door.
"Come in."
It was a very deep, naturally commanding voice.
Joyce pushed the door open and entered, his face respectful and his eyes filled with admiration. He walked lightly to the desk and raised his hand in a military salute.
Bo Yisi nodded slightly in acknowledgment.
"Marshal, this is the document that was sent over, specifically designated to be handed to you. The Empire is still waiting for your reply."
As he spoke, this seemingly young Military Zerg adjutant bowed his head slightly, holding the document bag gently with both hands, and handed it to the Marshal sitting upright.
Bo Yisi took the document without a word. After opening the envelope, he took out the few thin sheets of paper and began to read them carefully.
Joyce saw that the expression of Marshal Bo Yisi, who was usually as cold and rigid as a textbook, seemed to lose control for a fleeting moment.
But he recovered extremely quickly and continued to look down, as if what Joyce had just seen was merely an illusion.
Joyce did not make a sound to avoid disturbing the Marshal; he just stood quietly in place, waiting for instructions.
Bo Yisi's long fingers tightened involuntarily around the sheets of paper in his hand. His heart was filled with overwhelming heartache, but his black eyes were filled with an indescribable darkness.
Although the paper in his hand was thin, it clearly and explicitly described how a once noble His Highness had been trampled into the mud in such a short time, inciting the hatred, abuse, and boycott of all Zerg.
Nash Carlisle, a His Highness who appeared cold and noble on the surface, but was incredibly soft-hearted inside.
He was the warm light that gently saved him when he was in a desperate situation. He was also the ice that shattered when he was deep in a happy dream.
He was also Bo Yisi's only Male Zerg Master.
When His Highness told him to leave, as a Female Concubine, he had no right to say no. Even if he was in pain, he could only pretend to leave obediently.
He thought that perhaps when he became stronger and more useful, his Male Zerg Master would take him back. However, all he received was a cold, chilling divorce agreement.
In fact, Bo Yisi had always had a premonition about this outcome, but the time on Planet Slater had been truly too wonderful, so he had carefully cherished it, never daring to think too deeply about it.
He and His Highness had such a terrible start; even if it wasn't his intention, the harm had already been done, and it might have even caused His Highness some psychological trauma.
Because every time they interacted, Bo Yisi could vaguely feel His Highness's inner rejection of him.
But as if afraid he would overthink it, His Highness's eyes would always carry a touch of gentleness as he softly comforted him:
"It's not his fault, and it's not because of him; it's that other Zerg are too bad."
Such a His Highness was truly too kind and gentle, as if he were radiating light from his whole body, so warm.
A His Highness like this was truly hard for a Military Zerg to resist falling in love with.
So, even though they spent a very short time together—only a few months—Bo Yisi's heart was already completely filled with His Highness.
Cold and noble, gentle and handsome.
Yet that His Highness was now like a street rat on the starnet, reviled by everyone.
Stripped of his surname and expelled by his own Family, he was also facing dual investigations by the Empire and the Male Zerg Protection Association.
And the reply he, Bo Yisi, gave to the Empire would directly determine whether this His Highness would completely fall into a dark Hell.
