Chapter 65 is still being processed.

Yamamoto Ichiro and the others hurriedly looked around, only breathing a sigh of relief once they were sure the Chainsaw Ghost was nowhere to be seen.

But their relief was short-lived.

As time slowly passed, they had to pray that it wouldn't appear again.

There were over three hundred people in The Hotel, generating fear points every single moment.

Jiang Feng was overjoyed.

He controlled the Chainsaw Ghost's killing frequency, killing one person every three minutes.

If the interval was too long, the fear points generated wouldn't be intense enough, and he didn't have that much time to play around.

If it was too short, it would be a bit of a waste.

Jiang Feng would knock out anyone found by the Chainsaw Ghost; these people would no longer generate fear points.

Therefore, the more survivors there were, the more fear points he could harvest.

Half an hour later.

The Chainsaw Ghost had already killed ten people.

Yamamoto Ichiro and the others in the room had experienced the sound of death ten times.

Constantly cycling between relief and terror, their mental resilience was nearing its limit.

Outside, a group of police officers quickly landed on the island.

More than half an hour ago, Tanaka Taro received the news.

A hotel on the island had lost contact, along with the over three hundred people inside and the Big White Snake.

Tanaka Taro found it hard to believe something as absurd as The Hotel losing contact, so he hurried to clarify the situation as quickly as possible.

Thus, he accelerated his pace toward the island.

"All officers, advance toward The Hotel."

At Tanaka Taro's command, everyone brandished their guns and surrounded The Hotel.

Upon arriving at the entrance of The Hotel, there were some tourists nearby pointing and whispering.

After Tanaka Taro arrived, he immediately dispersed the crowd.

The sight before him shocked him greatly.

What was originally the site of The Hotel was now shrouded in a mass of distorted, dark light.

It was impossible to see what was happening inside.

"Police Superintendent Tanaka, according to witnesses, this light appeared more than half an hour ago. Some tried to enter, but they ended up walking back out for no apparent reason."

Tanaka Taro fell into deep thought; this was the first time he had encountered such a situation.

To figure out what was happening, they had to enter The Hotel.

Tanaka Taro felt that this might be some sort of illusion; The Hotel must still be right in front of them.

"Let's go, let's head inside and take a look," Tanaka Taro said in a heavy voice.

When the police arrived, Jiang Feng inside also sensed them.

He gave a cold sneer; he was in the middle of enjoying his game and couldn't let these people interrupt.

He directly illusioned away the entrance to The Hotel; anyone who came in would only see a completely seamless wall.

As soon as Tanaka Taro and the others stepped into the domain's range, it felt as if they had instantly arrived in another world.

The Hotel also appeared vividly before their eyes.

"This isn't the main entrance. Look elsewhere. You guys go to the left," Tanaka Taro ordered.

After speaking, he led the remaining men toward the right.

Before long, the two groups met.

"Why did you come back? Didn't you see the main entrance?" Tanaka Taro frowned. He hadn't seen the entrance on his side and thought it was on the other.

"No, Police Superintendent Tanaka."

Tanaka Taro's face darkened, and he said nothing, instead leading the men to continue walking until he arrived back at the starting point.

He finally confirmed the fact that they couldn't find The Hotel's main entrance.

How is this possible?

Tanaka Taro felt a sense of frustration; he had been full of confidence before coming.

But now, he couldn't even find a door.

Perhaps this place is also an illusion.

Tanaka Taro suddenly thought of the scene he had seen from the outside.

"Quick, ram into this spot," Tanaka Taro ordered the officers beside him, pointing at the wall in front of them.

The officers beside him were completely bewildered.

Is this Police Superintendent Tanaka a fool?

Making us ram into a wall?

"Ram it! What are you waiting for?" Tanaka Taro roared.

No one dared to defy the orders of an enraged Police Superintendent Tanaka, so the group of officers charged at the wall in front of them.

Bang!

Bang!

...

One muffled groan after another sounded as they hit the wall, the group of officers grimacing in pain.

The wall was as hard as steel; how could they endure ramming into it with their flesh and blood?

"It's no use, Police Superintendent Tanaka! It won't budge at all."

Tanaka Taro's expression was grim; this spot was clearly where The Hotel's main entrance should be.

"Go ram over there, every two meters," Tanaka Taro gave an even more absurd order.

He was convinced that everything before him was an illusion and that the door must be hidden within it.

As long as they rammed every single spot, they would surely find it.

Intimidated by Police Superintendent Tanaka's overbearing authority, the officers could only grit their teeth and continue ramming the wall.

Inside, Jiang Feng was watching and nearly dying of laughter.

With these people using their bodies to ram it, even if they actually hit the main entrance, they wouldn't be able to force it open.

The main entrance was locked to begin with; without several tons of force, don't even think about budging it.

Just as Jiang Feng expected, someone soon rammed into the actual door.

But the actual door didn't feel much different from the wall, and the person who hit it didn't notice anything unusual.

Thus, they missed it perfectly.

It was impossible to distinguish between truth and falsehood; Tanaka Taro was clearly overthinking things by trying to find the door by ramming into walls.

Half an hour later, the wall-ramming ended.

All the officers rubbed their aching shoulders; this self-harming behavior had caused a lot of resentment among them.

Many of them looked at Tanaka Taro with a hint of resentment in their eyes.

Tanaka Taro was equally resentful; they had rammed all the way around and still hadn't found the door?

What are these people even good for?

Did he have to personally ram every single spot himself?

"Didn't any of you notice anything unusual?" Tanaka Taro's voice carried a hint of a roar.

Compared to a wall, a door is not only softer, but ramming it would definitely make a sound.

The honest officers lowered their heads, ashamed of themselves for not finding the door.

The less honest officers weren't ashamed at all; instead, they resented Tanaka Taro for not treating them like human beings.

"Police Superintendent Tanaka, why don't we use explosives?" one officer suggested.

Tanaka Taro's breath hitched, and he lashed out at the officer who made the suggestion: "Are you an idiot? How are you going to blow it up? You haven't even found the door, and you want to blow up the wall? What happens to the people inside if you blow up the wall? Do you want to be buried with them?"

The officer was scolded mercilessly and didn't dare to speak again.

Just then, an officer from outside walked in. "Police Superintendent Tanaka, the Police Chief is calling for you."

Tanaka Taro hurriedly retreated; to leave this strange area, he only needed to move away from The Hotel.

Answering the phone, Tanaka Taro looked respectful.

"Police Chief, it's me."

"How is the situation being handled?" Police Chief Sato Takeo's voice came through the receiver.

Tanaka Taro's heart tightened.

"Police Chief, it's still being processed."

"Still being processed? What the hell are you even good for? It's been this long and it's still being processed? I heard you haven't even entered The Hotel's door. What on earth are you doing? So many people have lost contact; do you have any idea how much discussion this has sparked? Many families of the missing have already gone to the Police Station, and you're telling me it's still being processed?..."
