153: Shen Pan's suspicion

"Isn't this the ability Senior Sister Xia just mentioned?" Shen Pan's heart rate sped up slightly.

The Trace of Nothingness, like Return to Silence, belongs to the taboo grade ability branch.

Its effect was Heaven-Defying, as always.

Now Shen Pan finally understood why, in the System plotline...

...all scenes involving the sorrow of no light featured unknown entities whose figures and faces couldn't be discerned.

Turns out that Major Figure deliberately erased others' perception of himself just to show off!

"But this move certainly has style. I'm stealing it!"

Coupled with his Hidden Abilities, if he goes and does bad things in the future...

...no one will be able to find out who did it!

Shen Pan thought happily.

The moment he acquired this ability, he looked toward Jiang Ruolai and Ruan Qingshu, who were still chatting.

He activated the Observation Power of the Trace of Nothingness.

Sure enough, after excluding the few red threads representing relatives and the blue threads belonging to each of them...

...both girls had a pink thread connecting to him... Although this ability currently only allowed him to see the threads and not influence them or use them to strike enemies.

It was still a means of discerning truth from falsehood!

Just as Shen Pan looked at Senior Sister Xia, who was preparing to leave, and activated the Observation Power of the Trace of Nothingness...

...before he could clearly see how many threads the other party had.

"Snap!"

The threads broke.

It wasn't that he had consumed too much and was forced to exit the Observation State.

Instead, these threads were directly severed by some Supreme Power, preventing his investigation!

Someone severed Fate?!

Xia Zhaoyue's eyes also lost focus for a moment.

Then, showing a look of shock and confusion, she nervously looked around.

"This is bad, Junior Classmate!!!"

"The Main Body said that someone just tried to investigate her and the other sisters through the Plane of Fate!"

"...That is indeed very dangerous."

It's over. This misunderstanding is huge.

Shen Pan said unnaturally.

The Great Xia Sword Immortal could already achieve this level at this time?

He hadn't even seen clearly; he had simply activated observation!

"There's actually an expert proficient in the Plane of Fate on Blue Star?

But the Three Goddesses only rise to prominence a few years later; this shouldn't be happening at this juncture!"

Xia Zhaoyue frowned, her face like a bitter gourd, pacing constantly around the room.

The Butterfly Effect is flapping its wings too quickly and too frequently!

After discussing with her sisters, she suddenly realized something.

"This is definitely a warning from the sorrow of no light!

Is he trying to declare war on us? I knew he would target you, Junior Classmate!"

"Damn it, I wish I could just kill the God of Wisdom of the Desolate God Realm!"

Listening to Senior Sister Xia's somewhat cute muttering.

Shen Pan suddenly noticed a blind spot he had never paid attention to before.

Although Senior Sister Xia possessed the Prophecy Ability...

...she could see many things in the future, and over the past few years, she had indeed relied on prophecy to lead Great Xia to a commanding lead.

But why... did her prophecy stop working after she met him?

Several unexpected events have occurred consecutively that Senior Sister Xia was unaware of.

Especially those related to the Otherworld invading Blue Star!

Even if the Butterfly Effect he caused was huge, it shouldn't affect the Otherworld, right?

Thinking this, Shen Pan replied calmly:

"God of Wisdom?"

"The Desolate God Realm actually has intelligent Deities? I thought there were only barbarians there.

But Senior Sister Xia, you seem to know a lot about the Desolate God Realm!"

"Uh, sort of?

I basically know most of the secrets and knowledge about the Desolate God Realm, which is why Sixth Sister dared to go stir up trouble there."

Xia Zhaoyue replied without much thought.

Since she is a Prophet, it's perfectly reasonable for her to have knowledge about the Desolate God Realm, right?

Anyway, others wouldn't guess that she is a Rebirth.

Although her understanding of the Desolate God Realm...

...all came from an encyclopedia she obtained from an Otherworld Merchant.

That book indeed saved her a lot of effort when fighting the Desolate God Realm.

For example, sending spies, instigating conflicts between various races, preventing them from attacking Blue Star with full force, and so on... The owner of that book even became her Otherworld Pen Pal later on.

The other party repeatedly sent her Top-Secret Intelligence about the Desolate God Realm planning attacks.

This indicated that the other party's status was very high, at least at the level of a God's Deputy!

The other party seemed to be called... "Huh?"

The other Xia Zhaoyues, who also sensed something was wrong and felt their memories were glitching, quickly put down what they were doing.

Strange, why couldn't she remember who gave her that encyclopedia?!

It felt as if that segment of memory had been erased!

This familiar feeling... Xia Zhaoyue's expression instantly froze.

That can't be!

For a period in her previous life, she was an Old Acquaintance of the sorrow of no light???

"Hiss!"

Wasn't that person a Blue Star wanted criminal who killed many Sakura People?

Given her personality, she should have hunted down this kind of person to the end!

Wait, no, she remembered that when Ruan Qingshu was about to lose control in the previous life...

She seemed to have tacitly allowed this Blue Star's Second Strongest Fighter to leave and defect to the sorrow of no light!

She even hinted that the person could take some Blue Star Prodigies away!

The reason... she couldn't remember!

But if they were truly acquaintances, why did she die so miserably in her previous life... Xia Zhaoyue, feeling her mind was a mess, decided to find a quiet place to organize her thoughts.

"Junior Classmate Shen Pan, be careful recently. I'm leaving first!"

Watching Senior Sister Xia leave somewhat anxiously, Shen Pan's eyes flickered slightly.

He suspected that Senior Sister Xia might not be a Prophet!

At least her current performance...

...was more like a Prodigy who had obtained a Future Script, or—a Rebirth!

This could explain why the other party only knew he was a Librarian at the Imperial Capital Academy.

Because that was the Original Timeline where he hadn't received the System and hadn't cheated!

"Things are getting interesting, but luckily it doesn't affect my ability to cheat and grow stronger!"

Shen Pan looked deeply at the Panel.

As long as he grew stronger fast enough and killed enough Otherworlders...

...he would eventually become a Major Figure who shook The Heavens!
