41: Chapter 41 Parting with Bei Liyue
Using the Divine Sword Sect to threaten him—what a massive joke!
The moment you made your move, it became an irreconcilable situation of life and death.
Ning Yuan held 'Yuanzhi' against his neck, his eyes brimming with killing intent as he sneered,
"After this battle, whether your Divine Sword Sect will even continue to exist is another matter. Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to use them to threaten me?"
"So, you should just head on your way in peace!"
"Ning Yuan, you can't..."
Before Luo Yonghao could finish his sentence, Ning Yuan flicked his wrist. The man's head tumbled off, his eyes still filled with lingering terror and regret!
He likely never imagined in his wildest dreams that he would die here, and so abruptly at that.
Luo Yonghao originally had a bright future ahead of him, but because of a single momentary lapse in judgment, he ended up with his life and cultivation extinguished.
After dealing with Luo Yonghao, Ning Yuan scanned his surroundings; the battles nearby had already come to an end.
Perhaps it shouldn't be called a battle, but rather a one-sided massacre.
Under a Formation of such terrifying power, even a Nascent Soul Cultivator could not resist.
Upon the surrounding earth, blood flowed like rivers and corpses littered the ground.
In mid-air, a faint bloody mist drifted through the wind.
Ning Yuan had only ever seen such horrific scenes described in text before; he had never witnessed it with his own eyes.
Now that it appeared bloodily before him, Ning Yuan felt somewhat uncomfortable, but he forcibly suppressed the unease in his heart.
For this world was as such: if you did not want to be killed, you could only continue becoming stronger, until the day you were so powerful that no one could kill you.
Boom! Rumble!
Ning Yuan then looked up toward the distant sky, where Mu Tiancheng was fighting desperately against three Soul Transformation Cultivators.
By now, Mu Tiancheng's aura had already begun to plummet; his defeat was only a matter of time.
As his opponents, Divine Sword and Wang Dehai only appeared slightly disheveled, their injuries merely superficial.
But Sect Master Tie Xue was in a wretched state, drenched in blood with a withered aura; if not for the other two looking out for him, he would have died long ago.
Because he had the lowest cultivation, Mu Tiancheng would strike him every now and then; the fact that he had lasted until now was a testament to his strength.
"Fairy Mu, Senior Mu is..." Ning Yuan said silently in his heart, hoping she would seize this final opportunity.
"You don't need to say it, I know what you mean!" Mu Qingyao snapped, interrupting Ning Yuan.
How could she not know what Ning Yuan meant? But the thought of her mother, the Qingyun Sect, and everything else... all of which had been destroyed by her father's own hand, made it impossible for her to forget; it haunted her mind constantly.
Ning Yuan shook his head and let out a long sigh. Since she was unwilling to do anything with this last chance, he couldn't force her.
Then, Ning Yuan turned his gaze toward Nangong Xi and said slowly,
"Leave Qingzhou with me! If you stay here, they won't let you off, and they won't let the Ultimate Bliss Sect off either!"
Nangong Xi was well aware of the consequences of staying in Qingzhou. Dozens of Nascent Soul Cultivators had died at Ning Yuan's hands, and as a participant, those Sects naturally wouldn't let her go.
Once word of today's events spread through Qingzhou, as the Saintess of the Ultimate Bliss Sect, the entire Sect would no longer have a place to stand in Qingzhou.
However, even if these events hadn't occurred, it wouldn't change the facts; they would have just lingered on for a while longer.
It was their own fault that the Ultimate Bliss Sect was not skilled in combat; their Realm and actual strength were completely disproportionate, yet they still held the title of one of the three major Sects.
This title brought tangible benefits, and what power wouldn't be envious of that?
Back when they formed marriage alliances with other powers, the Ultimate Bliss Sect's strength was still relatively robust, which was how they secured the title of one of the three major Sects.
But as the Ultimate Bliss Sect declined in recent years, those powers naturally set their sights on this piece of fat meat.
Even with the Soul Transformation Stage Pill Nangong Xi took back, it wasn't as if her Master could immediately achieve a Breakthrough to Soul Transformation upon consuming it; it required time.
If the incident with the Qingyun Sect hadn't happened, there might have been time to wait for her Master to break through, but now there was likely no time left.
Thinking of this, Nangong Xi no longer hesitated and immediately made a decision in her heart:
"Alright, I will leave Qingzhou with you!"
Hearing her answer, Ning Yuan breathed a sigh of relief. He had really been afraid she would be stubborn and refuse to leave Qingzhou.
"You cannot take the Young Miss away!"
Just then, a low, ethereal voice drifted over, giving Ning Yuan and Nangong Xi a start.
A black figure appeared not far away, their Soul Transformation cultivation fully revealed. They were dressed entirely in black, wrapped tightly so that only a pair of emotionless eyes were visible, staring at Ning Yuan.
Looking at the person before him, Ning Yuan had a suspicion. He glanced at Bei Liyue on his shoulder:
"Is the 'Young Miss' you're referring to her?"
"Yes!" the black-clad figure said coldly.
Upon hearing this, Ning Yuan had a good idea of the situation, but he still asked, "How can I trust you?"
The black-clad figure was silent for a moment before saying, "Extreme Yang..."
"Alright, no need to say more!" Ning Yuan interrupted directly, not letting the person continue.
Nangong Xi watched quietly from the side without speaking, but she was secretly shocked in her heart.
She hadn't expected the woman Ning Yuan was carrying to have such an extraordinary identity, even having a Soul Transformation Cultivator as a subordinate.
She had previously thought it was just a friend Ning Yuan knew, and she had found it strange that Ning Yuan had a friend with Nascent Soul cultivation; now it seemed that wasn't the case at all.
Nangong Xi stole glances at Ning Yuan and Bei Liyue out of the corner of her eye, wondering what their relationship actually was.
After confirming the black-clad figure's identity, Ning Yuan walked over to them and set Bei Liyue down.
Then, he took out a glittering golden bead and said, "When the need arises, this can help her. Remember to give it to her! When she wakes up, tell her I'll visit when I have time!"
The black-clad figure took Bei Liyue from Ning Yuan's arms while her other hand caught the golden bead.
The moment she touched the bead, she felt a warm current emanating from it, making her entire body feel warm and comfortable.
She immediately realized what it was, quickly put the bead away, and gave Ning Yuan a deep look.
Then, carrying Bei Liyue, she turned into a black shadow and vanished from before Ning Yuan in the blink of an eye.
After they disappeared, Ning Yuan murmured to himself, "For the sake of our acquaintance, this is as much as I can help! We'll talk about the rest later!"
He turned back to Nangong Xi's side and said to her, "We're leaving Qingzhou. Aren't you going to contact your Master?"
"I already contacted her while a certain someone was lingering reluctantly!" Nangong Xi teased without reservation, a trace of mischief in her eyes.
"Nonsense! I wasn't lingering reluctantly, we're just friends!" Ning Yuan quickly retorted.
Nangong Xi didn't believe him for a second, still smiling. "Really? It doesn't look like it to me. Do friends give such expensive gifts?"
That bead clearly wasn't some cheap item. Given her understanding of Ning Yuan, how could he possibly give away such a precious thing?
The only explanation was that the two had an ambiguous relationship; otherwise, Ning Yuan wouldn't be so generous.
