31: The Copper Token Dispute
"Indeed, Fellow Daoists, what you see is the bronze token that opens the Tai Xuan Minor Secret Realm. With it, you can bring people into the Secret Realm to Cultivate, or to search for Heaven And Earth Treasure!"
Red Smoke introduced the bronze token on the tray. The token had the characters 'Tai Xuan' engraved in the middle, surrounded by mysterious symbols and patterns. If one observed closely, they could see special Spiritual Qi fluctuations constantly swirling on its surface.
The appearance of this token brought expressions of surprise and joy to many. These were all prominent figures in the Mortal Realm, and they had all heard of the Tai Xuan Minor Secret Realm.
Most people on the first floor, however, were clueless until Red Smoke's explanation, only then realizing what a treasure this was.
It is said that by holding this token, one can freely enter the Tai Xuan Minor Secret Realm, a Secret Realm that many Golden Core Immortal Masters would fight tooth and nail to get into.
Not only is the Spiritual Qi dense inside, but there are also a large number of Heaven And Earth Treasures, mostly third-tier, with some fourth-tier ones, though fewer in number. But this alone was enough to drive many people crazy.
Seeing the token in Red Smoke's hand, Sha Di suddenly seemed rooted to the spot, not taking another step outwards.
"Tai Xuan bronze token!"
Sha Di's expression turned from gloomy to joyful. He immediately sat back down and directly brought out all his possessions. Compared to this bronze token, the infant transformation pill was nothing!
He knew a hidden secret about the Tai Xuan Minor Secret Realm: deep within the Secret Realm, there was something that could help people quickly Break through the Nascent Soul Bottleneck, which was much better than the infant transformation pill!
Not just Sha Di, but over ninety percent of the people on the second floor brought out their Family fortunes, ready to compete for this token.
However, some were indifferent, like Ye Ming. His attention was currently focused on a certain luxurious room, where Sha Di and Sha Xuexing were located.
Ye Ming hadn't expected to encounter people from the Seven Fiends Sect here. Since he had, he needed to plan carefully how to use these people to reach their stronghold.
Ye Ming's eyes narrowed slightly, and a glint of light occasionally flashed within them. No one knew what he was thinking.
At this moment, Red Smoke had already begun to auction off this bronze token.
"Everyone can bid with Spirit Stones, Magic Treasures, and other items. Alright, the bidding for the Tai Xuan bronze token now begins!"
"My Sword Sect offers one hundred High-Grade Spirit Stones, plus one third-tier top-grade magic sword!"
"My Yundan Sect offers one hundred eighty High-Grade Spirit Stones, plus ten bottles of third-tier Yuan-Enhancing Pills, and two more third-tier top-grade Magical Artifacts!"
"My Hufeng Sect offers two hundred..."
...For a time, various third-tier Magical Artifacts, Medicinal Pills, Spirit Medicine, and so on emerged without restraint. The onlookers below went from initial shock to numbness.
They had witnessed the true foundation of major powers. Some Loose Cultivators and members of small Families smiled bitterly in their hearts; just one of these Magical Artifacts would be enough for them to strive for several lifetimes. This was the sorrow of their low-level Cultivators: without strength, they weren't worthy of having a foundation.
"This old man offers three hundred ninety-one High-Grade Spirit Stones, plus three third-tier top-grade Magical Artifacts, one fourth-tier Low Grade Magical Artifact, and one Low Grade Spiritual Vein..."
Sha Di's voice echoed throughout the auction house, causing many people's expressions to show astonishment. The Seven Fiends Sect even brought out their own Spiritual Vein? Were they abandoning their School entirely?
"Grand Elder, you are..."
Sha Xuexing was also stunned, looking at Sha Di with disbelief, not understanding why he would do this. Selling the Spiritual Vein was equivalent to destroying the School!
"Idiot, how can these things compare to this old man's Breakthrough to Nascent Soul? Once I successfully Break through, can't I just go find other Spiritual Veins?" Sha Di scolded Sha Xuexing, looking disappointed.
Upon hearing this, Sha Xuexing quickly lowered his head to admit his mistake, completely devoid of a Sect Leader's authority.
After scolding the foolish Sect Leader Sha Xuexing, Sha Di's gaze returned to the auction stage. If anyone else raised the price, he would have to risk his life to seize it today, as his lifespan was running out, and he absolutely had to Break through to Nascent Soul.
At this time, many people on the second floor gave up bidding. A mere Secret Realm slot was not worth abandoning their entire mountain Sect.
But those three Sects clearly knew some inside information, so they raised their bids again, this time even more fiercely than Sha Di.
"The Wuji Sect offers five hundred twenty-four High-Grade Spirit Stones, three fourth-tier Low Grade Magical Artifacts, two Low Grade Spiritual Veins, plus a quantity of third-tier Spirit Medicine!"
"The Haoyang Sect offers six hundred three High-Grade Spirit Stones, three fourth-tier Low Grade Magical Artifacts, three Low Grade Spiritual Veins..."
"The Jinyuan Sect offers seven hundred fifty-seven High-Grade Spirit Stones, one fourth-tier Medium Grade Magical Artifact, five Low Grade Spiritual Veins..."
Hearing these bids, Sha Di's face turned grim again. He then looked at Sha Xuexing and whispered, "Go, tell them to prepare on the path the Jinyuan Sect Elder will take back. We must get this bronze token today!"
"Yes!"
Sha Xuexing bowed and, while everyone's attention was on the auction, quietly left the Tianbao Pavilion.
No sooner had he left than a masked man followed him, equally unnoticed. This masked man was one of Ye Ming's two Puppets.
Ye Ming was just wondering how to wipe out the Seven Fiends Sect in one fell swoop when that demonic Cultivator stealthily left. This immediately gave him an idea, so he first sent his Puppet to follow and see what the Seven Fiends Sect members were up to.
On the other side.
After Sha Xuexing left Tianbao Pavilion, he flew directly out of the market and stopped at a hidden mountain foot.
He then took out a red jade pendant, infused a trace of magical power into it, and quietly waited in place.
Before long, four figures descended from the sky.
"Sect Leader!"
The newcomers were the four Elders of the Seven Fiends Sect; the remaining Elder was left to guard the mountain Sect.
"Mm, did you bring the Blood Transformation Grand Array?"
Sha Xuexing nodded expressionlessly, then looked at the Third Elder and asked.
Upon hearing this, the Third Elder immediately produced thirty-eight blood-red Formation Flags and said, "Sect Leader, I have brought them!"
"Good, follow me. This time, the Grand Elder has given a death order: no one who enters the Array is to be left alive!"
"Yes!"
With that, Sha Xuexing took the lead and flew off, followed closely by the four Elders, completely unaware that a figure was trailing behind them. The Male Puppet's eyes flashed with a hint of light, and he continued to follow.
A moment later, Sha Xuexing and his group arrived at a mountaintop. This was the only path for the Jinyuan Sect to return to their Sect. If they were to take a detour, they would have to travel an additional half of the journey.
But why would the Jinyuan Sect choose a detour? To them, no one in the Mortal Realm dared to provoke their Sect, so they currently held this arrogant mindset.
Sha Di knew this, so he had Sha Xuexing set up a Grand Array here in advance to ambush the Jinyuan Sect members.
After Sha Xuexing arrived, he instructed the Third Elder to begin setting up the Array, with the others assisting.
Once the thirty-eight Formation Flags were laid out, a blood-colored barrier began to rise.
"Conceal!"
The Third Elder let out a low shout, forming hand seals to create a white Array Talisman, then pushed the Array Talisman into the Grand Array.
The entire Grand Array immediately vanished, as if it had never appeared.
