136: Chapter 136 Kill!

A Supernatural Power like the True World False Realm cannot be broken by brute force alone.

When Li Xiuyuan was trapped within it, he had established contact with Qing'er.

After deliberation, they decided on an escape method: Li Xiuyuan and Jingxin were connected by the Power of Incense Vows. By following that thread of causality, he could locate Jingxin and thereby break free from the illusion of Lin Family Village.

Who would have known that after slicing open that false world with a single strike, what would meet his eyes was the scene before him.

Dharma Master Yan Jue's heart tightened; he never expected that Li Xiuyuan would be able to break through the True World False Realm he had meticulously woven so rapidly.

But he had no retreat.

He activated his Supernatural Power once more; this time, he only sought to trap that white dragon for a few moments longer.

...

The rift in the sky that Li Xiuyuan had split open slowly closed, and sunlight once again enveloped Guoqing Temple. However, Deputy Director Guo Lin and the others had already sensed the anomaly and rose one after another, preparing to confront Dharma Master Yan Jue.

"Abbot Yan Jue, what was that just now? Why did the sky crack open? What on earth are you up to?"

The representatives of the Twelve Ancient Families stood up one by one, their faces livid as they pressed for answers.

Standing on the Dharma platform, Dharma Master Yan Jue remained impassive. He raised his right hand and gave a gentle wave.

Everyone's movements froze simultaneously as they were all dragged into their own respective True World False Realms.

However, using his Supernatural Power on so many people at once had already reached Dharma Master Yan Jue's limit. Beads of sweat as large as beans rolled down his forehead, falling like rain.

But he had no time to catch his breath.

Jingxin's spiritual soul had not yet been extracted, and Li Xiuyuan could break out of the realm again at any moment.

He had to complete the final step before that white dragon returned.

The chanting of scriptures resounded once more, this time more urgent, like a violent storm. Jingxin's body trembled violently; although he resisted with all his might, it was to little avail.

The excruciating pain of his spiritual soul being extracted struck again.

...

Just at this moment, a subtle ripple appeared in the air beside Jingxin.

Like a pebble thrown into a lake, it rippled outward in circles.

In the very center of the ripples, a blood-red blade squeezed out from the void.

The blade moved outward inch by inch, tearing a rift in the void. Following that, the blood-colored long blade slashed horizontally with force!

The rift was torn open into a gap several yards long, and a figure draped in moonlight-colored robes stepped out from the rift. His waterfall-like hair blew in the wind, his golden vertical pupils were as cold as frost, and Li Xiuyuan was shrouded in a layer of faint mist, the dragon lord blade in his hand trembling slightly.

Dharma Master Yan Jue's pupils contracted sharply; he had not expected Li Xiuyuan to be able to break the True World False Realm again so quickly.

Before he could react, his chest was fiercely kicked, sending him flying off the Dharma platform. He collided with the stone pillar in front of the Mahavira Hall and spat out a mouthful of blood. His red kasaya was disheveled, his monk's hat fell askew, and he looked utterly wretched.

At the same time, the sky above Guoqing Temple was like a torn piece of cloth, revealing the true night sky behind it—dark, damn dark!

Dharma Master Yan Jue leaned against the stone pillar, blood still flowing from the corner of his mouth. He gazed at Li Xiuyuan, his eyes filled with unwillingness and anger.

He knew that, in any case, he had no qualifications to go head-to-head with Li Xiuyuan. Now that Li Xiuyuan had broken the True World False Realm again, this Supernatural Power was already ineffective against him. If he could break it a second time, he could break it a third.

Now, he had no opportunity to continue extracting Jingxin's spiritual soul; if he were to force it, all his plans would fall to ruin.

"Master, please forgive me; this disciple cannot help you obtain a perfect physical body to become a Buddha in the human world. I can only wrong you."

"Master, please ascend the lotus throne!"

Dharma Master Yan Jue suddenly raised his head, facing the portrait of Abbot Huiyun on the Dharma platform, and shouted hoarsely.

He spread his arms wide, driving the remaining power of the True World False Realm to its limit.

The ghosts attached within the bodies of the monks were extracted one after another. The monks' bodies trembled violently, and they emitted wails that did not sound human.

One black shadow after another crawled out from their seven orifices, circling in the air and emitting piercing screeches. The vengeful spirits gathered in the air, forcefully kneaded together by a certain power.

Gradually, a lotus throne composed of vengeful spirits appeared in the sky!

Dharma Master Yan Jue captured the portrait of Abbot Huiyun from across the air and threw it forcefully into the sky. The moment the portrait unfurled, he pressed his palms together, and scriptures poured from his mouth like a tidal wave. He poured all his power into the Supernatural Power of the True World False Realm.

He wanted to make everyone in Guoqing Temple believe unwaveringly that Abbot Huiyun had become a Buddha!

He wanted to tamper with the memories of all these people, forcing the consciousness of those still struggling in their respective illusions to be twisted, making them acknowledge this event.

The Abbot Huiyun in the portrait suddenly opened his eyes, and a mass of purple flames burned the scroll to ashes. Abbot Huiyun's figure rose from the ashes, sitting upright on the lotus throne formed by vengeful spirits.

He was draped in golden Buddha light, holding prayer beads, his lips moving slightly; he truly looked like the Buddha manifesting. But upon closer inspection, one would find that his face did not belong to the compassionate visage of the Buddha, but was instead full of pain and ferocity.

Beneath the Buddha light, the lotus throne was also writhing, the vengeful spirits roaring and wailing, and black resentment rose from behind Abbot Huiyun.

At this moment, a false Buddha, supported by vengeful spirits and cast from false faith, appeared before Li Xiuyuan.

Dharma Master Yan Jue raised his head, his eyes filled with a fanatical light as he looked at Abbot Huiyun sitting on the vengeful spirit lotus throne. Then, he turned his head, looking at Li Xiuyuan with cold eyes.

"Today, Abbot Huiyun Buddha will destroy you, this wicked obstacle!"

...

...

As soon as Dharma Master Yan Jue's voice fell, Abbot Huiyun, sitting on the vengeful spirit lotus throne, joined his palms together.

On that twisted and ferocious face, his lips moved, and the sound of scripture chanting poured down from the lotus throne.

The sound of scripture chanting poured down from the lotus throne; because Buddhist scriptures should be peaceful and pure, yet the scriptures Abbot Huiyun recited at this moment had an indescribable eeriness in every syllable.

The content of the scriptures was also reversed; it could be said that Abbot Huiyun was completely reciting those daily scriptures in reverse at this moment.

Immediately after,

Abbot Huiyun raised his right hand and struck down with a palm. A golden giant palm phantom condensed and formed above the lotus throne, striking down towards Li Xiuyuan's head.

The air was compressed, emitting a piercing sonic boom. Wherever the palm wind passed, bluestone slabs shattered, the Dharma platform collapsed, and even the eaves of the Mahavira Hall were blown away by the air wave.

Li Xiuyuan swiftly dodged, and the golden giant palm struck the ground, leaving a palm print several yards deep, with black smoke rising at the edges and resentment intertwined.

The power of this palm strike was extraordinary. Abbot Huiyun did not leave any gaps; after one palm fell, he condensed another. During this time, black Sanskrit characters formed by condensed vengeful spirits also appeared. These black Sanskrit characters leaped in the air, forming various suppression formations carrying supreme pressure, surrounding and attacking Li Xiuyuan.

Li Xiuyuan no longer maintained his human form but leaped into the air, transforming back into his Chi Dragon true form.

Having transformed into his true form, Li Xiuyuan's speed and strength were both elevated to another level.

The silvery-white Chi Dragon swam through the night sky, the golden patterns flowing on his scales flickering like living things.

He dodged Abbot Huiyun's palm wind, his dragon tail sweeping horizontally, smashing the black Sanskrit suppression formations that were closing in from all directions one by one.

The Sanskrit characters formed by vengeful spirits emitted piercing screeches the moment they were scattered, turning into wisps of black smoke and dissipating in the night wind.

But the vengeful spirits under the lotus throne were replenished endlessly; as old ones were scattered, new ones immediately condensed and formed, as if they could never be exhausted.

Abbot Huiyun's offensive did not cease. Li Xiuyuan wove through the palm winds, his dragon claws tearing apart layers of light curtains, while the dragon lord blade and the ancient coin also cooperated with each other, continuously attacking Abbot Huiyun while Li Xiuyuan dodged.

Blade light filled the sky, and Abbot Huiyun's body was already covered in crisscrossing wounds, with golden Buddha light surging out from the cracks like a dam about to collapse.

He stopped all his offensives, his ferocious face looking up at the sky, the speed of his lip movements suddenly accelerating.

The syllables of the scriptures became urgent and high-pitched; he had actually begun to recite the Mahavairocana Sutra in reverse.

...

The Mahavairocana Sutra recited normally can open wisdom, purify body and mind, and break ignorance,

while the Mahavairocana Sutra recited in reverse can convert all the obsessions and hatred in the reciter's heart into power.

Immediately after,

Abbot Huiyun's figure began to swell, expanding outward at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The vengeful spirits under the lotus throne emitted shrill wails, being sucked into Abbot Huiyun's body by an irresistible force, becoming his swelling flesh and blood.

Abbot Huiyun's figure rose higher and higher; his feet stepped on the roof of the Mahavira Hall, crushing the glazed tiles, his head breaking through the clouds, obscuring the moon.

His face was ferocious, his features twisted to the extreme, golden pus flowing from his eye sockets, countless vengeful spirits writhing in his blood vessels.

Lowering his head, Abbot Huiyun looked down at the Chi Dragon coiled on the plaza, his hollow eyes finally having a focus.

He raised his right hand, spreading his five fingers. In his palm, black Sanskrit characters and golden Buddha light intertwined, condensing into a mass of turbulent, terrifying energy.

The vengeful spirits poked their heads out from his palm, opening their mouths to howl silently.

...

Abbot Huiyun pressed all his power into this palm.

That palm covered the entire sky.

Before the palm wind arrived, the ground had already sunken. The bluestone slabs on the plaza shattered one after another, ground into powder by the invisible pressure.

The wreckage of the Dharma platform was blown away, the windows of the Mahavira Hall were shattered, and even the water in the distant life-release pond was pressed to surge to both sides, revealing the dried-up pond bottom.

Li Xiuyuan raised his head, gazing at that giant palm descending from the sky, knowing there was no avoiding it,

no matter which direction he fled, he could not escape the range of the palm.

He coiled on the ground, his dragon claws deeply embedded in the shattered bluestone slabs, tensing his body like a fully drawn bow. In the gaps of his silvery-white scales, electric light flickered, crackling and popping.

Meanwhile,

Jingxin on the ground also sat cross-legged; although his state was very weak at this time, his consciousness was still clear.

Jingxin pressed his hands together and began to chant the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra in a low voice.

The sound of the scriptures arose faintly, but it carried the supreme compassion of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, gathering beside Li Xiuyuan.

The two forces merged into one at this moment, and before that giant palm fell, Li Xiuyuan also moved.

His massive body shot up from the ground, transforming into a silvery-white bolt of lightning, his bulging muscles exploding with unprecedented, terrifying power at this moment.

'BOOM!!'

Thunder light exploded around his body, tearing the air to shreds. The ancient coin flew out from beneath his scales, transforming into a golden ray of light, circling around his dragon body, clearing away the vengeful spirits attacking along the way for him.

The dragon lord blade was held in his mouth, its cold light piercing.

Until he collided with the incoming Buddha palm,

the blinding thunder light and Buddha light collided in the air, exploding layer after layer of air waves. The clouds were torn to shreds, and the daylight-like intense light illuminated the entire night sky!

Li Xiuyuan pierced through that Buddha palm, rushed out from the other end, and directly tore apart the vengeful spirit lotus throne Abbot Huiyun was sitting on, also piercing through his chest, leaving a shocking, huge hole.

Abbot Huiyun lowered his head, looking at the hole in his chest; on that ferocious and twisted face, a look of liberation appeared.

He turned his head back, looking at Li Xiuyuan, and whispered: "Amitabha, thank you, benefactor, for fulfilling this."

Then, he lowered his eyes to look at the people in Guoqing Temple who were still in a stupor, his voice desolate and weary: "I am sorry, all karma originated from this poor monk. It is because this poor monk failed to teach his disciple well that I have implicated everyone."

"Benefactor, my inferior disciple has committed grave sins. This poor monk dares not ask for your forgiveness; I only ask that you give him a quick end and do not torture him anymore."

Abbot Huiyun turned his head, his voice filled with much weariness and relief.

Li Xiuyuan hovered in mid-air: "En."

This indifferent response caused Abbot Huiyun to close his eyes completely, his figure turning into dust and being blown away by the night wind.

The fragments of the lotus throne disintegrated beneath him, the vengeful spirits emitting a final wail before returning to silence.

...

Dharma Master Yan Jue on the ground leaned against the stone pillar. Li Xiuyuan's strength completely exceeded his estimation. Although his master was only a false Buddha, that was still a Buddha fabricated within the True World False Realm; yet, he was not Li Xiuyuan's match.

Li Xiuyuan had already arrived on the ground, looking down from above at Dharma Master Yan Jue. The latter, having used all his power on the True World False Realm, was already very weak and completely powerless to make any resistance.

Li Xiuyuan glanced at Ye Xiaoqing and the others not far away,

according to the rules, Dharma Master Yan Jue should be sent to the Jiantian Bureau,

but at this moment, he was not willing to follow that rule.

A blood-red blade light flashed past,

Dharma Master Yan Jue's head separated from his neck and rolled onto the ground.

And at the very moment Dharma Master Yan Jue died, his human body also turned into a meatball, still with a strange appearance, but in its abdomen, a red light faintly flickered.

Li Xiuyuan turned his eyes to look,

that red light seemed to sense something, crawling out from the meatball, coming before Li Xiuyuan, and scattering into countless powders, merging into his brow.

[Spirit Energy Value + 100000]

[You have obtained the Innate Supernatural Power: True World False Realm (Pseudo)]

"Pseudo?"

Li Xiuyuan felt slightly surprised in his heart,

the red light just now should have been Dharma Master Yan Jue's inner core; after absorbing it, he also obtained his Innate Supernatural Power.

However, why was there a "pseudo" word after this Innate Supernatural Power?

Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan checked it secretly.

[True World False Realm (Pseudo): Originally an Innate Supernatural Power realized by Dharma Master Yan Jue. This Innate Supernatural Power was created by the ancient fierce beast Hundun. After practicing and mastering it, one can construct another world and use that world to predict the future of this world, but the predictable future is very short, currently only three seconds.]

[Note: This Innate Supernatural Power can be combined with another Innate Supernatural Power to reach perfection. And things that happen in the perfect True World False Realm can affect the real world.]

"Hiss..."

"Wait a minute, what does it mean that if I can cultivate it to perfection, I can do things in the constructed world that affect the present world?"

"Encountering a difficult enemy, if I kill the opponent in the constructed world, I can also kill the opponent in the real world?"

"For example... one second later, kill you?"
