145: Chapter 150

Lin Fan raised his flashlight to scan the surroundings, his gaze finally settling on a small coffin next to a vase.

The coffin was pitifully small, not even big enough to hold half of an adult's body; at most, it could fit a toddler who had just learned to walk.

Looking at this thing, everyone felt uneasy. The tomb owner was truly ruthless; if you want to be buried with treasures, fine, but to not even spare a child is too much.

"Wu Xie, what do you say? Should we open it?" Fatty Wang asked.

Wu Xie, soft-hearted, shook his head: "The person is already gone, let's not disturb them."

He truly couldn't bear it. The thought of such a young child being dragged here as a burial sacrifice made his chest feel tight.

Fatty Wang nodded, pressed his palms together, and bowed to the small coffin. He might look unreliable, but when it came to serious matters, he was clearer-headed than anyone.

"Did you all forget something?" A-Ning suddenly interjected. "What about those two small footprints? This child is clearly lying in the coffin, so where did the footprints on the ground outside come from?"

That one sentence immediately woke everyone up.

That's right! The child was lying in the coffin, yet there were footprints on the ground? Could it be that there wasn't just one child in this place?

"Naive, what do you think? Should we open it?" Fatty Wang asked again.

Wu Xie couldn't make up his mind and turned to look at Lin Fan.

The coffin lid was kicked off from the inside, emitting a dull thud.

A four or five-year-old boy flipped out, wearing only a red bellyband, with a tuft of baby hair on his forehead, looking exactly like a paper boy from TV.

The little guy scanned his surroundings with round eyes, then immediately chased in the direction where Lin Fan and the others were fleeing.

His familiarity with this Burial Chamber far exceeded that of Lin Fan and the others; he ran extremely fast, bypassing everyone in a few moments.

Everyone slammed on the brakes, frozen in their tracks.

The child's skin was fair, his cheeks chubby; ordinarily, anyone who saw him would call him cute. But the problem was, this wasn't a playground; it was a Burial Chamber.

Having just seen that small coffin and heard the crying, only for a child to pop up and block the path—even a fool could tell something was wrong with this thing.

Fatty Wang instinctively raised his gun, aiming it at the child.

The little thing glared and slapped his hand out.

The gun in Fatty Wang's hand was knocked flying, hit the wall, bounced twice, and fell to the ground.

Cold sweat broke out across everyone's backs.

To be honest, they weren't afraid of how powerful the child was, but rather the eerie way this thing appeared, which made their hair stand on end.

Just then, the Burial Chamber suddenly shook, and the sound of a child's crying came from the corner.

The crying was sharp and shrill, making everyone's eardrums ache.

"Don't just stand there, hurry and leave!" Lin Fan shouted.

Everyone snapped out of it and followed Zhang Qiling, rushing out into the right-hand passageway.

Lin Fan deliberately lagged behind a few steps, turning back to look for a moment—aside from the shaking and the crying, there was no other movement for now, so he turned and followed the main group.

Just as he walked away, a loud "bang" echoed from behind.

The coffin lid shattered into pieces.

The child leaped out from inside, landing silently, but his speed was terrifyingly fast.

Barefoot, he stepped on the floor tiles and chased directly in the direction where Lin Fan and the others had left.

Lin Fan was also muttering to himself.

The footprints on the ground already indicated that the thing in the coffin had changed; if it were an ordinary Zombie, he would have chopped it up long ago to earn points.

But the thing before him had only been a child while alive.

Just as Wu Xie said, being dragged in as a burial sacrifice at such a young age was miserable enough; destroying his corpse was something Lin Fan really couldn't bring himself to do.

While he was hesitating, A-Ning had already walked to the small coffin, taking out tools to pry the lid.

As a result, before she could even act, the crying exploded, and the entire side chamber shook violently.

The child wasn't even as tall as an adult's leg; to put it bluntly, he was just a brat who hadn't even grown his hair out yet.

Even if he had really become a reanimated corpse, he didn't look like much of a threat.

The group was hesitant about whether they should attack.

No matter how fierce, he was just a half-grown child.

If they really attacked such a small thing, wouldn't it be a laughingstock if word got out?

But what happened next left everyone dumbfounded.

The little boy swung his palm, and from a distance, he knocked the gun out of Fatty Wang's hand.

None of the Zombies they had encountered before could achieve this level.

"Bang!" A-Ning didn't hesitate and fired directly.

This brat was already threatening their lives; if he didn't die, they would.

But immediately after, an even more horrifying scene appeared.

The moment the shot was fired, the little boy just swayed slightly.

The bullet didn't touch a single hair on him; it all hit the ground.

This child's speed was even faster than a Zombie.

Everyone was stunned.

At this moment, Zhang Qiling made his move.

The little boy was no match for him, but in terms of speed, he left Zhang Qiling far behind.

Plus, because he was too short, when Zhang Qiling fought him, he couldn't unleash his full capability, unable to display his true strength.

The little boy flashed a few times, bypassing Zhang Qiling and rushing in front of Lin Fan and Xiao Chuchu.

The others were all scared into retreating instinctively, looking as if they had seen a ghost.

Lin Fan closed his eyes and activated his Purple Gold Demon Eyes.

He wanted to figure out why this little thing was so wicked.

Ordinary reanimation just meant having a bit more strength; it was impossible to be this powerful.

Unless—he had consumed some Heaven And Earth Treasure before he died.

Just like that Sea Banshee.

After becoming a reanimated corpse, not only did her strength surge, but she also gained some messy abilities.

Once the Purple Gold Demon Eyes were activated, Lin Fan was stunned.

He couldn't see anything special about this little boy.

He was just the most ordinary reanimated Zombie.

Just as Lin Fan was puzzled, gunshots rang out again.

A-Ning, Wu Xie, and the others all opened fire.

But not a single shot hit.

The brat dodged them all.

Absurd, absolutely absurd.

Everyone even had the illusion—this child was practically a copy of Lin Fan, just a size smaller.

An indescribable pressure weighed on everyone's chest.

But the next scene truly made everyone's eyes almost pop out.

The brat not only dodged the bullets but also caught every single one of the flying bullets in his hand.

Fatty's face turned white with fear; that group had never seen such a freak.

Even for that kid Lin Fan, he wasn't sure if he could catch bullets with his bare hands. After all, no one had ever seen Lin Fan do such a thing with their own eyes.

The little boy curled his lips, revealing a wicked smile, and slowly walked toward them.

"Naive, what do you think he wants to do?" Fatty's voice began to tremble.

Actually, he knew himself that asking this was a waste of time. They had just used guns to attack the guy's nest, and now they were out of ammo, so of course, they were going to get beaten up.

To be honest, Fatty had been in this business for so long, and this was the first time he was this scared.

Even when he saw the King Lu Zombie climb up with his own eyes, he hadn't been this panicked.

"Fatty, don't be a coward, Expert Brother is right here. No matter how tough this brat is, can he be tougher than him?"

Fatty swallowed hard.

That was all he could think. Now, his life was completely pinned on Lin Fan.

The problem was, he had no idea if Lin Fan could actually beat the little thing in front of him.

It was really because the trick that little brat had shown was damn terrifying, absurdly strong.

Fatty already had a shadow in his heart.

The little boy glanced at Lin Fan, the corner of his mouth curling into a wicked smile, his eyes filled with obvious contempt.

It was as if he didn't take Lin Fan seriously at all.

Lin Fan was now even more certain that this guy was not an ordinary Zombie.

But what he was muttering about was, what on earth turned him into this state? Even his Purple Gold Demon Eyes couldn't figure it out.

Between the little boy's chubby fingers were ten bullet heads.

Those bullets had just flown out of the gun chamber and were scorching hot.

But he didn't care at all; with a wave of his small hand, the ten bullet heads shot toward Lin Fan and the others instantly.

Everyone present was dumbfounded.

They were all thinking, is this little thing a Zombie or a ghost?

It had the shell of a Zombie, but it did everything only a ghost could do.

Flying out from his hand, they were absurdly fast.

Faster than when fired from a gun, they shot right in front of them in the blink of an eye.

There was no time to dodge.

Wu Xie and the others' minds went blank; it was over, it was all over now.

They hadn't even found Third Uncle yet, and they were going to kick the bucket here first.

And to die at the hands of a little brat.

When they got to the underworld and King Yama asked how they died, they wouldn't even be able to open their mouths out of shame.

Just at this moment, Lin Fan moved.

A ball of energy surged from his palm, supporting a protective shield around everyone.

The projectiles stopped in mid-air, motionless.

Fatty Wang closed his eyes, still muttering: "Naive, don't you find it strange? Why doesn't Fatty feel any pain? Logically, shouldn't it be excruciatingly painful before dying? Are we in a dream?"

Not just him, Wu Xie and A-Ning were also keeping their eyes tightly shut.

No one dared to open their eyes to see how they would die.

Fatty Wang's shout actually woke Wu Xie up—he touched his chest, huh, it was fine, no holes, not even a wound.

Not only was his chest fine, but his whole body was perfectly fine.

He slowly opened his eyes.

Then he was stunned.

The things the little boy had just thrown, which had clearly flown right in front of them, were now all suspended in mid-air, motionless.

Wu Xie's naked eye couldn't see the power Lin Fan had released; he could only see those things floating there, as if someone had pressed the pause button.

At this time, Fatty Wang and A-Ning also opened their eyes.

What they saw was exactly the same as what Wu Xie saw.

The three of them turned their heads in unison to look at Lin Fan, who was standing to the side.

There was no expression on Lin Fan's face.

They couldn't explain what was happening before them with common sense, but they all knew in their hearts—this man had done all of this.

But how did he do it?

The little boy was panicked now.

He had originally thought Lin Fan was just putting on an act, but he never expected this person to be such a tough nut to crack.

For Zombies like them, an expert of this level was definitely a threat that had to be eliminated.

Just as he was preparing to act, a throwing knife suddenly appeared in Lin Fan's hand.

The throwing knife floated in front of him.

Lin Fan lightly swiped his right hand, and the knife that was originally only one instantly turned into ten.

Each one carried a fierce Killing Intent.

The aura pressed over, making even the little boy feel a chill down his spine.

His shoeless little feet began to retreat.

Then he turned around and ran.
