When Fu Chen’an received the food, he rushed out but couldn’t find his wife. He kicked the small stones in annoyance. He wouldn’t be able to see his wife for two days and had already missed her.

After the morning training, Fu Chen’an returned to his tent and saw his friends crowding around his bed. "What are you all doing?" he asked.

"Brother Fu, I heard that your wife sent a lot of food again. Share it with us," Wang Tiezhu said.

Fu Chen’an didn’t reply to him and went to check the bamboo basket. He took out four waist bags and checked the contents. As soon as he opened the bag, a sweet fragrance filled the tent.

"Husband, this water is for you. You have to patrol in hot weather and might get heatstroke. Remember to drink more water when you go out. Also, take the fruit chips with you. If you are hungry, you can tide it over with them."

After he read the message, he folded it and stored it in his pouch. A smile bloomed in his face as his eyes softened.

Seeing his expression, everyone started to tease him.

"Brother Fu, did your wife send you a love letter?" Wang Tiezhu asked.

"I wonder what my sister-in-law said that melted the cold Squad Leader Fu," another added.

Hearing their words, Fu Chen’an was not annoyed but felt proud. He raised his chin and replied, "If you are jealous, go find a wife and ask her to write a letter to you."

As soon as he said this, everyone felt their fists itch and wanted to punch his arrogant face. But before they could take action, Fu Chen’an threw a bag of apricot chips at them and said, "Share it with everyone."

Since he was generous, they wouldn’t hold it against him this time. Everyone no longer bothered him and was busy sharing the fruit chips.
