340: Second Ward of the Third Crow Prison
Stern steel, solemn guards.
This is the Second Ward of the Lapu Galaxy Empire's Third Cold Crow Prison.
The criminals held here are all serious imperial offenders.
There are vicious interstellar bandits, Race who once served in the Imperial Army but defected for various reasons, and political prisoners.
Each of their energy Ranks is not low, all above Rank 3.
In some key Cold Crow Prisons, even Rank 6 or Rank 7 existences are incarcerated.
The corridors are filled with the chill of cold metal, and dim blue warning lights flash regularly, reflecting off the heavy alloy cell doors.
Within the vast and boundless starry sky, the Lapu Galaxy Empire is extremely prosperous and powerful.
But beneath the surface of the Empire's prosperity, betrayal, sell-outs, and corruption breed, forming a large number of forces dissatisfied with the Empire.
They either act alone, quietly evading the Empire's pursuit.
Or they simply pull together fleets of wanted criminals, looting and pillaging within the vast imperial territory, attempting to shake the Empire.
Among them, the thirteen Great Wanted Fleets led by the thirteen most powerful Races are the most prominent, calling themselves: the Five Grand Dukes and the Eight Marquises.
The energy Ranks of these Five Grand Dukes and Eight Marquises have all reached a terrifying Rank 8, and their influence is vast, with many subordinates, each possessing no fewer than ten thousand various warships.
Although their power is formidable, they do not dare to openly stand up and challenge the Empire.
The majesty and virtue of the Emperor of the Race Galaxy allow no questioning.
In the face of absolute power, the Five Grand Dukes and Eight Marquises can only be constantly chased and driven away.
As of now, some of them are still being hunted by the Empire.
They don't dare to stand out openly, but they aren't afraid; after all, the Universe is vast and boundless.
Occasionally, some planets losing contact with the Empire is normal, not to mention the secret help of imperial officials who receive benefits.
Of course, the Empire's Starry Sky Fleet is no pushover.
They crushed wanted fleets one by one, captured batch after batch of interstellar pirates, and threw them into Cold Crow Prison.
Today is a relatively important day for the Second Ward of the Third Cold Crow Prison.
Because on this day, a large number of new jailers will be assigned here to replenish lost personnel.
The spaceship carrying the new jailers slowly landed on the prison's landing pad.
The hatch opened, and a group of young Lapu People wearing brand-new jailer uniforms walked out.
They were of all Races, and their eyes revealed tension and unease; after all, they were about to face the most dangerous criminals in the entire Empire.
Some were full of excitement, wanting to show their skills and establish merit.
Black, the Warden of the First Prison Level of the Second Ward, stood to the side, his gaze scrutinizing these newcomers.
"Listen up," Black said in a deep voice.
"This is no easy place. One careless move, and your lives will be gone.
"Remember, you must never show the slightest mercy or slackness toward these prisoners!
"The crimes they have committed are not enough to be atoned for even if they die ten thousand times!!!"
The new jailers nodded in unison, then followed Black toward the First Prison Level.
The Second Ward of the Third Cold Crow Prison is located on a medium-sized life planet. The main body of the prison is buried underground, with a total of ten massive prison levels, each covering a vast area and guarded by a Warden.
The further down the level, the more ferocious and stronger the criminals.
The current level they were on was the First Prison Level, which was relatively relaxed.
Along the way, Black continuously introduced the situation and precautions of the Second Ward to them.
"Every prisoner here is dangerous and has their own tricks."
"Never believe anything they say, and never show any weakness in front of them."
When they truly stepped into the cold mechanical corridor of the First Prison Level, an oppressive atmosphere hit them.
Under the simulated daylight electronic lights, low growls and eerie laughter from the prisoners came from within the cell doors from time to time.
The new jailers' footsteps slowed down unconsciously, and the expressions on their faces became increasingly solemn.
Just then, a sharp alarm suddenly sounded, breaking the dead silence... The sharp alarm instantly tore through the originally oppressive silence of the First Prison Level, its urgent and shrill sound echoing continuously in the cold metal corridor.
The new jailers were stunned by this sudden turn of events, their faces full of terror and confusion, at a loss for what to do.
Just as everyone was hurriedly reorganizing, a blood-curdling roar came from a cell at the end of the mechanical corridor.
Immediately after, a dull thud followed.
That heavy alloy cell door actually shook violently, as if an extremely powerful force was desperately slamming against it from behind.
Black's face changed drastically; a prisoner who could be locked behind this specially made cell door was definitely not someone to be trifled with.
"Return to the landing craft immediately!"
After instructing the new jailers to take cover, he immediately called the other jailers.
"Notify the control room immediately, strengthen the energy shields of all cells!"
"Mobilize one squad of Mechanical Jailers and three squads of Official Jailers to come and support quickly."
As he finished his instructions, the cell door shook even more violently, and the banging was deafening.
Suddenly, with a loud "boom," the mechanical cell door was actually sent flying, turning into a pile of twisted scrap metal.
Then, a few things were thrown out. Among the crowd retreating to the landing craft, someone looked and was instantly shocked on the spot.
It turned out that the things thrown out were several jailers; they slammed heavily against the mechanical wall.
Blood gushed out from various parts of their bodies, and they were already mangled beyond recognition.
The Rioter was tall and burly, pitch black all over, twice as tall as a Human Race or the Race, with muscles bulging like steel.
His eyes flickered with blood-red light, like two clumps of burning ghost fire, revealing endless madness and killing intent.
This was one of the most aggressive prisoners in the Second Ward, imprisoned here for committing numerous horrific massacres.
His energy Rank was 4, his interstellar bounty was as high as 100 million imperial gold vouchers, and his ability was Self-Repair.
Even in this Second Ward crowded with serious offenders, he was a rather troublesome existence.
Although Cold Crow Prison has various technologies, accidents always happen, causing casualties among the jailers.
The Rioter let out a deafening roar, swung his thick arms, and charged toward the jailers along the way.
"Armed Equipment, Summon!"
Black shouted softly, and the ecological instrument inside his body activated.
In an instant, countless mechanical armor plates covered his entire body.
"Thunder Strike Fist!"
"Beep, Thunder Strike Fist loading complete!"
"Crack, crack."
A burst of explosive electric light burst from his right fist, transforming in mid-air into a massive mechanical warrior, slamming fiercely toward the raging black shadow charging forward!
The two collided violently, instantly setting off a powerful shockwave, and the surrounding jailers dodged one after another.
Without the support of an ecological instrument, even if one has a high energy Rank, it's useless.
No matter how many bullets are in the magazine, it's useless if you don't have a firearm.
The next moment, many supporting jailers arrived quickly, activating their Armed Equipment to surround and suppress The Rioter.
Before long, the opponent was brought under control and re-incarcerated.
After some cleaning up, the Second Ward returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
Those new jailers received their respective assignments and were transferred to their corresponding prison levels... "For the Emperor!"
"For the Emperor."
"Reporting to Warden Black, the list of the next batch of transferred personnel is as follows."
"331 Atonement Jailers, 357 Official Jailers, 11 Mechanical Jailers, and one Acting Warden!"
"Why are there so few people in this transfer?"
Black was about to question it when he suddenly noticed something wrong in the other person's words.
"Wait, you said these people have an Acting Warden...?"
Black asked with wide eyes, and the person in charge of the transfer answered respectfully: "Report to Warden Black, it is confirmed, there is indeed an Acting Warden."
"What's his name?"
"Xia Mulin."
