Chapter 5 I'm afraid my Maybach will leak...

Although Oxford Town isn't a large place, the used car market is quite hot.

Wherever there's a university, used cars are bound to be popular; after all, the United States is a nation on wheels.

Here, not having a car is like not having legs.

Mu Xin hadn't bought a car before simply because he was poor; getting around was very inconvenient, and he could only hitch rides or ride a bicycle.

Now that he had money, he had to get himself a car!

Arriving at the dealership, Mu Xin was immediately shocked by the two cars at the entrance!

One was a Ferrari Purosangue, and the other was a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge.

Both were new models, and together, these two cars were worth nearly a million dollars.

"Damn, why are there so many luxury cars in this small place?!" Mu Xin cursed under his breath before walking into the dealership.

At this hour, there were no customers in the dealership, not even a single salesperson; only a Mexican janitor was sweeping the floor.

However, he was clearly just going through the motions, and the floor wasn't clean at all.

"Where are your sales staff?" Mu Xin asked the janitor.

The janitor pointed listlessly toward the inside: "They're inside."

Mu Xin bypassed the unevenly arranged vehicles in the showroom and pushed open the office door.

Inside the room, there was a faint scent of cedar perfume—it smelled quite nice—along with a desk, three chairs, and a sofa.

On the desk were a computer, a printer, scattered office equipment, and a water dispenser.

A white woman who looked at most thirty years old was typing away at the computer; hearing the door open, she looked up at Mu Xin.

"Here to buy a car? Have a seat first." After saying that, she pointed to the chair opposite her.

Mu Xin sat down quietly and then looked closely at the young woman in front of him.

One word: beautiful!

Although he couldn't see her full figure, her ample chest was quite impressive, and with her delicate features and simple makeup, she was the spitting image of a standard office lady.

"I want to buy a car for getting around," Mu Xin said, breaking the silence.

"It's definitely inconvenient without a car. What's your approximate budget?" The office lady glanced at Mu Xin again.

"Budget? I don't have a budget; as long as I like it, that's fine." Mu Xin pondered for a moment before replying.

"No budget? Then it's hard for me to make a recommendation." The office lady stopped what she was doing and looked at Mu Xin seriously.

"I really don't have a budget. I want to buy an SUV," Mu Xin said seriously as well.

Pfft—!

The office lady laughed; it was a beautiful sight. She then extended her hand and said, "My name is Jessica Scott, you can call me Jessica. Perhaps we can take a look at which cars currently in the dealership are suitable for you."

After speaking, Jessica stood up, opened the door, and made a gesture for him to follow.

Mu Xin stood up immediately and walked out.

"You want an SUV; this Chevrolet..." Jessica began to introduce.

"I need an SUV that's a bit bigger and more imposing," Mu Xin interrupted Jessica.

"Then this Mercedes-Maybach GLS is a good choice; it's very big." Jessica pointed to the Maybach GLS at the entrance.

Mu Xin walked around the car once, then opened the door and sat inside.

"This car has 18,000 miles on it, it's a one-owner vehicle, and the owner was also Chinese like you; he sold it after graduating and returning home."

"This car is now 180,000 dollars." Jessica said after checking the documents.

Mu Xin got out after sitting for a few minutes; he didn't like this car. He was afraid it might leak, which would be too much trouble.

"Let's try another one, I don't like this. Also, how did you know I was Chinese?" Mu Xin asked with some curiosity.

"You Chinese look very arrogant, while people from other Asian countries look a bit... timid."

"You Chinese even have a different standing posture; there's always one leg splayed out..." Jessica shrugged and laughed.

Mu Xin subconsciously looked at his own legs; it was indeed as Jessica said, it seemed like Chinese people all stood that way.

"I don't like this type of car; find another one." Mu Xin didn't respond to her comment.

"How about the Ferrari and Rolls-Royce at the entrance?" Jessica asked.

"Too flashy, but those two cars are indeed good-looking," Mu Xin said.

Phew—!

Jessica sighed, led Mu Xin to the backyard, pointed to a car in the corner that was half a head taller than the others, and said, "What do you think of that Mercedes G63 4x4²? 330,000 dollars, one-owner, less than 3,000 miles driven, practically a new car."

Mu Xin walked over slowly, took the keys from Jessica, and sat inside.

They were both Mercedes, but the build quality was truly different; this G63 4x4² was overall better than that Maybach GLS.

Although it wasn't as well-appointed as the Maybach GLS, its rugged exterior and powerful off-road configuration really appealed to Mu Xin.

"You said this car is 330,000 dollars?" Mu Xin asked.

"Yes, the price of this car is relatively high; you could buy a Rolls-Royce Cullinan by just adding a few more tens of thousands of dollars."

"So I don't really recommend this car," Jessica said softly.

Mu Xin didn't speak; he got out and walked around the G63 4x4² once, liking it more the more he looked at it.

Jessica stood to the side without speaking; she was genuinely skeptical about whether Mu Xin could afford it.

Although she hadn't been selling used cars in Oxford Town for long, she had seen too many young people just coming to feast their eyes.

"Let's go inside, I'll write the check." Mu Xin stopped and said, standing in front of Jessica.

"We don't do car reservations here; financing or paying in full are both fine," Jessica said tactfully.

"In full. Let's go inside and write the check," Mu Xin said with a chuckle.

Jessica looked at Mu Xin, felt he wasn't joking, and headed straight back into the office.

Back inside, Mu Xin felt that Jessica had become significantly more enthusiastic, even brewing him an iced Americano.

However, he declined; now that he had money, how could he still endure the bitterness of an iced Americano? He at least needed a sweet cappuccino!

He thought the only bitterness he should have to endure was the weight of long legs in stockings resting on his shoulders...

"It's rare to see a student buy a car so quickly, or rather, you're the first one I've seen," Jessica said, watching Mu Xin write the check.

"I made some money trading bitcoin recently; it's thanks to the President and Musk," Mu Xin laughed.

"What coin?" Jessica asked, feeling tempted herself.

"bitcoin," Mu Xin said, handing the check to Jessica.

"Please wait a moment!" Jessica took the check and hurried out.

Watching Jessica's curvaceous figure, Mu Xin admitted that he was feeling lustful.

He couldn't be blamed for that; men go bad when they have money—it's just human nature.

A few minutes later, the sound of tapping heels approached, and Jessica came trotting over to Mu Xin in her high heels.

"Hello, you need to come over here to process some paperwork."

"You handle it for me, I'll pay a tip."

"But, you won't lie to me, right? My mom said beautiful women are the best at lying."

Mu Xin smiled and pulled a few 100-dollar bills from his pocket, handing them to Jessica.

"So, is that how you learned to compliment girls—from your mother?"

"Don't worry, I studied law; it's not worth lying to you over something like a used car." Jessica gave a charming smile, took Mu Xin's tip, and said.
