4: Chapter 4: Finally Arriving at the Ancient Forbidden Land

The hazy light shield, which was already on the verge of breaking, still emitted a faint glow to protect everyone. In the distance, the Crocodile Ancestor merely sent the small crocodiles to constantly batter the shield, waiting for it to vanish completely so it could cross over and devour all the living beings here.

Everyone present fought a bloody battle, the Buddhist treasures in their hands radiating various colors—green and golden light interlaced, covering the sky in a chaotic and incredibly eerie display of colors.

The peerless demon's voice was like thunder; when it moved, even the sandstorm came to a standstill. Its crimson eyes were like two bloody suns, striking terror into the hearts of all who beheld them.

Fortunately, at this moment, the Taiji Yin and Yang Bagua Diagram in the sky had accumulated sufficient energy and opened a gateway to the starry sky.

“Go, get into the copper coffin!” Chu Qingqiu immediately shouted.

Once they entered the copper coffin, no matter how heaven-defying the Crocodile Ancestor's magic power was, it would no longer be able to harm them.

When Chu Qingqiu arrived beside the bronze giant coffin, he saw a figure nearly two meters tall within the thick, rolling black mist. Its eyes were blood-red, and a sneer like a baby's cry issued from its mouth.

Chu Qingqiu felt a chill in his heart; this was the divine thought of a Major Achievement Holy Body. In terms of strength, it was even above the Crocodile Ancestor and was incomparably dangerous. A streak of pitch-black Demonic Qi shot directly toward Chu Qingqiu.

Fortunately, Chu Qingqiu possessed a quasi-emperor forbidden artifact and had integrated the power of the Six-Syllable Mantra. The Vajra was the world's top defensive method. A faint golden light emerged from Chu Qingqiu's body, and the black Qi melted instantly like snow meeting a scorching sun.

As everyone reached the side of the copper coffin, the Crocodile Ancestor suddenly manifested atop the Five-Colored Altar. Looking at its posture, it seemed intent on forcing its way into the bronze giant coffin.

“F*ck! We're really dead this time!” Pang Bo's face turned green when he saw the Crocodile Ancestor, with its overwhelming Demonic Qi, right before his eyes.

“Don't panic. We don't need to defeat this guy. We just need to use the Buddhist treasures to suppress it for a while, then take the opportunity to board the copper coffin and leave this place. Even if it has the power to overturn the heavens, it won't be able to do anything to us.”

Chu Qingqiu understood the current situation. The Crocodile Ancestor looked incredibly fierce, but these Buddhist artifacts from the Great Leiyin Temple and the bronze giant coffin would not allow it to act so arrogantly.

At that moment, everyone's Buddhist artifacts transformed into streaks of brilliant light, pressing down toward the Crocodile Ancestor. Chu Qingqiu hurriedly said, “Seize this chance, let's get into the copper coffin quickly!”

“But, the Buddhist artifacts...”

Some people were clearly reluctant to part with those incredibly miraculous Buddhist artifacts.

“Then you stay here and wait for your Buddhist artifacts. However, whether you'll still have your life to use them is something I'm not sure about,” Chu Qingqiu mocked.

He moved quickly, entering the copper coffin almost at the same time as Ye Fan. Fortunately, most people could distinguish whether treasures or life were more important and climbed up nimbly.

The Crocodile Ancestor glared at the bronze giant coffin with venomous eyes, struggling with all its might to break free from the constraints of the Buddhist artifacts. It would never allow these little insects to escape from the palm of its hand.

Originally, the Buddhist artifacts of Ye Fan and the others wouldn't have been enough to suppress the Crocodile Ancestor. However, the quasi-emperor forbidden artifact in Chu Qingqiu's hand was too powerful, pressing the Crocodile Ancestor down until it could barely straighten its back. Soon, the nine dragons soared into the air, and the bronze giant coffin traveled through the starry sky toward the next stop. The Crocodile Ancestor could only let out impotent roars of fury where it stood.

Chu Qingqiu certainly wouldn't give up such a powerful weapon as the quasi-emperor forbidden artifact. He possessed a System Inventory; as long as an item was in his possession, he could ignore distance and store it in the System Inventory. When the nine dragons pulling the coffin were far from Mars, he stored the bronze buddha statue in his inventory and later quietly took it out to hide on his person. He didn't want others to know he still had a Buddhist artifact, as it would invite jealousy. If they later encountered people from those Grotto-Heavens and Blessed Lands and these guys started talking nonsense, he could only run away with the quasi-emperor forbidden artifact.

But not taking it out wasn't an option either. Some small crocodiles had slipped into the bronze giant coffin. Without a Buddhist artifact for protection, Chu Qingqiu felt it was still somewhat dangerous.

Inside the dark coffin, many people wept with their faces covered. That terrifying demon and the tragic deaths of their classmates filled them with both fear and sorrow.

“I don't know where we'll end up next. I just hope it's not another dangerous place like Mars. If it happens again, I can't guarantee I'll survive,” said Pang Bo, whose usually carefree mood had become much heavier due to this crisis.

“The nine dragons pulling the coffin have been traveling through the stars for a long time. Perhaps the next stop is the end. Don't worry too much, Pang Bo,” Chu Qingqiu comforted him.

He knew the next stop was the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land in the Big Dipper Star Domain. To be precise, that place was actually more dangerous than Mars, but with Ye Fan there, the danger could be said to be almost zero.

“Ah!”

A familiar scream rang out. Chu Qingqiu said, “Small crocodiles have slipped in, everyone be careful.”

“F*ck! I couldn't beat that big guy, but I can't kill you little three-inch runts?”

Seeing that these small crocodiles had followed them onto the copper coffin, Pang Bo was instantly filled with rage. He rolled up his sleeves, ready to fight.

Ye Fan grabbed Pang Bo and shook his head, saying, “We don't have Buddhist artifacts now. Even small crocodiles will be very difficult to deal with.”

Pang Bo could only sit back down, looking around and standing ready. Although he was angry, he had not lost his reason.

Everyone remained on edge throughout the journey. After an unknown amount of time, the desolate ancient bronze carvings on the copper coffin propped up a hazy light curtain to offset the massive impact. Accompanied by a loud booming sound, everyone saw light once again.

Chu Qingqiu was also incredibly excited. This was the starting point of the legend of the Heavenly Emperor Ye Fan, and it would also be the starting point for him to write his own legend. This place was the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land!

What met their eyes were beautiful mountains and clear waters, with strange peaks and jagged rocks standing tall, towering trees, and interlocking mountain ranges. The sky was completely different from the dark tones of Mars; it was a blue sky just like Earth's—no, it was even clearer than the sky on Earth.

Meanwhile, the nine dragons and the copper coffin behind them were slowly sliding toward the bottom of the mountain. Everyone watched this scene helplessly; the copper coffin was so heavy that no human strength could move it.

After calming down, everyone discovered they seemed to be in a place resembling a volcanic crater, surrounded by nine mountains. Chu Qingqiu said, “This is the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land.”

Everyone looked puzzled. Why did Chu Qingqiu know this place?

Chu Qingqiu brushed aside withered vines and fallen leaves, pointing to half a stone tablet. “It says 'Desolate Ancient Forbidden' on here. The last word is likely either 'Land' or 'Area'; it doesn't make much of a difference.”

“That name doesn't sound very good,” Pang Bo scratched his head.

Names like 'Forbidden Ground' were usually very dangerous places in novels or TV shows.

“Since we're here, let's make the best of it. The most important thing now is to look around for some food. After being on the nine dragons pulling the coffin for so long, everyone must be hungry.”

No one had any objection to this. Chu Qingqiu followed beside Ye Fan. Ye Fan was a person of great Luck; following him, one could easily drink Divine Spring Water and eat undying medicine.

The nine wonders undying medicine is divided into nine types of fruit. The power of a single fruit cannot compare to other undying medicines at all. Chu Qingqiu planned to pluck all nine types of the nine wonders undying medicine and then fuse them. Perhaps the power of the fused nine wonders undying medicine could surpass the legendary White Tiger Undying Medicine.
