189: Goodbye He Han

The next day.

Su Xiaobai still woke up very early.

Logically speaking, with the mission incomplete, he could have already returned to the Central Continent headquarters to report.

But he still decided to stay two more days.

Firstly, because the mission was completed too easily, he felt a bit guilty, fearing they might ask for a refund.

Secondly, since he had come all the way to Azure Continent, he should at least tour around a bit to make the trip worthwhile.

Sky Azure City.

The main city of Azure Continent.

Su Xiaobai walked alone on the street; this time, he didn't let his attendants follow, as that would be too conspicuous.

Besides sightseeing, he had another purpose for this outing: to figure out why the plague only existed within the Ghost Gate Sect's sphere of influence.

A plague could not be confined to just one place.

This place was not like his previous life, where control was very strict, requiring layers of inspection and a green code to go out.

In a place with such a large flow of people, it was impossible for only Ghost Gate Sect members to be infected.

"Li Siyang's words cannot be fully trusted; he might be hiding something from me. Hearing is not as good as seeing. The true reason still needs me to explore it myself," he mused inwardly.

He walked aimlessly down the street, deep in thought.

"Bo…Boss, four meat buns, please."

A trembling voice came from ahead.

It was a female voice, very soft, sweet, timid, and seemingly very socially anxious.

Su Xiaobai's body suddenly stiffened, and he immediately turned to look at the bun shop ahead.

A figure wrapped in a large black robe and wearing a hood stood there, timidly taking the yellow paper bag the boss handed her, holding it carefully in her arms.

He Han took out a meat bun, took a small bite, and a satisfied expression appeared on her face.

So delicious~

"Little Han!"

Suddenly! An extremely familiar voice came from behind, filled with urgency and deep…longing!

He Han jumped in surprise and turned around blankly.

Then she saw a man in a black and gold Dragon-patterned robe, with a tall and handsome figure, standing there, looking at her with an excited expression.

He Han froze for a few seconds, her pretty face displaying a myriad of emotions: first, the surprise of seeing him again, then the fear as she recalled, and finally, panicked flight.

She quickly hugged the buns in her arms and fled in a hurry without looking back!

"Hmm?" Su Xiaobai frowned, "Why is this girl running? Am I a devil??"

Then he took a running stance, and with a "whoosh," his body turned into an afterimage, chasing after He Han!

On the street.

He Han panted as she ran wildly.

"I…I've run so far, he shouldn't be chasing me anymore, right?" She couldn't help but look back.

Not looking was fine, but one look scared her soul right out of her body.

Su Xiaobai spread his arms, a sinister smile on his face, rushing towards her like Gargamel!

"Hehehe! Little Han, why are you running when you see your Master? Your Master isn't a bad person!" Su Xiaobai shouted.

"Ah!" He Han didn't believe him and ran even faster than before.

...

Outside the city, in the suburbs.

"Master~"

"Little Han~"

He Han ran ahead with tears in her eyes, while Su Xiaobai chased behind her with a ferocious expression.

"Master, stop chasing me! My flesh isn't tasty!" He Han cried out loudly.

"You are now a demon person hunted by everyone. I am just a small Alchemist. Our Master-disciple relationship is over.

From now on, you go your bright Dao, and I'll cross my single-plank bridge. Let's not contact each other again!"

"What nonsense are you talking about, Little Han? A Master for a day is a father for life; how can it change so easily!"

Suddenly, Su Xiaobai pushed off his thighs, pouncing towards He Han like a fierce tiger!

"Ah!"

He Han was tackled to the ground by Su Xiaobai, her legs constantly struggling.

"Don't eat me! Don't eat me! I haven't showered in three days!"

Su Xiaobai sat on her, looking speechless. How could someone as handsome as him look like a flesh-eating devil?

He immediately gave her a big flick on the forehead.

"Not showering again? You don't shower every day when I'm not around, do you?"

"Ow!" He Han couldn't help but hold her head, biting her lips aggrievedly, but there was a hint of relief and joy in her eyes… He still bullies me, so it seems he's still the same Master as before!

"Why are you in Azure Continent?" Su Xiaobai asked.

"After you snatched Senior Sister Oriental away and left Desolate Continent, I was all alone and helpless. All the money from Alchemy was taken by you, and I was about to starve to death.

Fortunately, Third Miss found me at that time and asked me to join her business association, to cooperate with her and become their specialized Alchemist."

"In return, she would pay me a salary and provide me with all the Materials needed for Alchemy, as well as a place to live.

Only then did I realize how sought-after I was." She looked at Su Xiaobai faintly, with a hint of resentment in her tone.

Su Xiaobai used to tell her that her qualifications were shallow, and she still had much to learn by his side, far from being ready to leave his tutelage.

So, naturally, he kept her money in his own pocket, saying he was saving it for her and would return it when she completed her apprenticeship.

"Haha…" Su Xiaobai chuckled awkwardly a few times, quickly changing the subject, "That…I remember you and Third Miss didn't get along, did you? When did you two bury the hatchet?"

"Master, you're changing the subject too stiffly."

"..."

Su Xiaobai's mouth twitched. After two years, this girl's mind had become so terrifying; his sweet little cotton jacket was gone!

"Cough!" He cleared his throat seriously, "Your Master's words naturally count. I've been keeping your money safe for you. When you get married someday, it'll be your dowry."

He felt a bit guilty inside; that money had long been used by him to cure impotence in the past two years. How could there be any left?

Even the money in his pocket now was given to him by Dongfang Qian Yue before his departure.

"Oh…" He Han looked at him faintly.

Although she responded verbally, the clear distinction in her eyes clearly told him: I don't believe a word you say, you rotten old man, you're very wicked!

Su Xiaobai became angry out of embarrassment, and another big flick landed on her head, creating a small bump.

"Wuwuwu! You only know how to bully me…" He Han buried her face and cried bitterly.

Su Xiaobai immediately panicked. He couldn't stand to see girls cry; it was especially troublesome to comfort them.

"That…don't cry, okay? Isn't it enough if your Master apologizes to you?"

"Wuwuwu!"

He Han ignored him and continued to cry, lying on the ground.

Su Xiaobai frantically scratched his scalp, finally letting out a helpless sigh, and then pulled out the Qiankun Bag containing Spirit Stones.

"Alright, I admit, your money was used up by me for certain matters. I currently only have two thousand Spirit Stones on me for now, so I'll return them to you first.

For the rest, I'll find a way to return it to you after some time. Please stop crying," he comforted softly.

Upon hearing this, He Han stopped crying and looked at him with some surprise.

In the past, he wouldn't have cared if she cried or not; he would have just continued with the head flicks.

"Alright, take it." Su Xiaobai saw her not reacting for a long time and handed her the Spirit Stones.

He Han took the Spirit Stones, muttering in her heart: There were nearly a million Spirit Stones at that time, what did you use them for? But seeing how poor and down-and-out you are now, I won't bother you about it for the time being.

"You're pressing on me!" She protested, wiggling her body.

Only then did Su Xiaobai realize that he had been sitting on her ever since he tackled her.

Not to mention, her figure was quite good. Although she was wrapped in a loose black robe, based on the feeling of sitting down just now: round hips and a slender waist!

He quickly got up, scratching his head awkwardly.

"By the way, Little Han, there's a question I want to ask you. Do you know about the plague that's been rampant in Azure Continent recently?" he asked with a serious expression.
