35: Chinese-style villa

Lu Jiaqi was confident in herself.

Some said she was waiting to be sold at a good price, but wasn't she just maintaining her integrity?

She simply wouldn't be swayed by sweet talk.

Her purpose in coming to Binjiang Bay to work in sales was very clear: she wanted to meet truly wealthy people.

She did meet them, but she was also greatly disappointed.

Firstly, wealthy people tended to be older.

Secondly, most of them were not single, and even if they were, how could men who had been through so much in society for so many years marry a salesperson?

A colleague of Lu Jiaqi's got involved with an owner in his late sixties, who promised to add her name to the house after marriage and was generous with money during their courtship.

Initially, her colleague lived in a mansion, drove a luxury car, and carried luxury goods… But once the man's novelty wore off, she was kicked out, and the house and car vanished.

If one were trapped during the relationship, one might even end up in debt.

It was not as comfortable as being genuinely supported and given money.

Moreover, because the woman had experienced that luxurious life, it was difficult for her to face reality again, and thus, such people were most likely to go down an irreversible path.

Precisely because of such examples around her, Lu Jiaqi became even more cautious.

Initially, she actually only approached Xu Zimo with the attitude of getting to know him.

Spending twenty-seven million on a house was enough to show his strong financial power; Lu Jiaqi's judgment was that his assets exceeded one hundred million.

She was still observing, but the next day, Xu Zimo bought a car and a house for Jiang Yuwei.

Although she wasn't clear about the car's situation, from her classmate Chen Jiaxin's attitude, it was clear there were no hidden tricks involved, otherwise Chen Jiaxin wouldn't have been so enthusiastic.

As for the house, Lu Jiaqi had personally handled all the procedures, so she knew best if there were any hidden clauses.

In other words, Xu Zimo genuinely spent nearly fifteen million on Jiang Yuwei in one day!

Therefore, when Xu Zimo proposed that she become his personal assistant, Lu Jiaqi accepted with almost no hesitation.

She decided to take a gamble.

Actually, it wasn't really a gamble.

After all, the monthly salary Xu Zimo offered was as high as one hundred thousand yuan; as long as she could stay by Xu Zimo's side, her annual salary would be over one million.

Even if her beauty faded, she would have enough money for the rest of her life.

Moreover, she wasn't just a pretty face.

Her capabilities could also be demonstrated in various other aspects.

Soon, they arrived at the hotel.

Xu Zimo picked up his parents, and his mother was still mumbling, saying that the house they bought was still for Xu Zimo to live in, making it easier for him to find a wife later.

The G-Wagen was parked at the entrance of the lobby, and Lu Jiaqi, dressed in professional attire, stood by the door with a charming smile. Seeing Xu Zimo come out with his parents, she opened the car door.

It wasn't until they reached the car that Xu Jianguo and Li Helian reacted.

Although their family didn't have much money, they recognized the G-Wagen; while they didn't know its exact value, it had to be at least several million.

However, with an outsider present, the two elders found it inconvenient to ask.

Where did this car come from, after all?

"Mr. Xu, shall we go to Green City Qingzhuyuan first to take a look?"

After getting into the car, Lu Jiaqi addressed Xu Zimo as "Mr. Xu," which further confused Xu Jianguo and Li Helian.

How was he "Mr. Xu"?

Wasn't their son just a small manager at the company?

Xu Zimo didn't explain and drove directly to the destination using navigation.

Since it was bought for his parents to live in, his idea was to go all out; this villa was the largest among the houses carefully selected by Lu Jiaqi.

Tingquanyuan (Listening Spring Garden).

Upon arriving, indeed, Xu Zimo's first impression was its sheer size.

"Mr. Xu, this is a super large villa covering an area of 10 mu, with a property area of 1100 square meters, a land area of 10 mu, and a garden area of 7000 square meters…"

Lu Jiaqi began to explain the details of this villa.

"After inquiring, for this villa, the owner spent over twelve million yuan just on the garden."

As soon as they entered the main gate, a breathtaking garden landscape unfolded before them.

Precious trees adorned various spots, vibrant flowers lined both sides of the paths, and a faint, refreshing floral scent permeated the air, invigorating the mind and spirit.

Artfully stacked rockeries were arranged in a staggered manner, and occasionally, clear springs gurgled through the crevices, emitting melodious tinkling sounds, like heavenly music, echoing within the tranquil garden.

The pond's surface was like a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and the surrounding scenery. Occasionally, a few goldfish leisurely swam within, creating delicate ripples.

Xu Zimo felt as if he had stepped into a Suzhou garden.

Xu Jianguo and Li Helian were even more stunned, treading much lighter.

Buying such a house was clearly something they dared not even dream of.

They arrived inside the villa in a daze.

The interior decoration was in a Chinese style; upon entering the villa, a rich cultural ambiance greeted them.

In the main hall, exquisite ink wash paintings hung on the walls; some depicted magnificent mountains and rivers, others flowers, birds, fish, and insects, each stroke imbued with profound artistic conception and emotion.

The air was filled with a faint scent of ink and the fresh aroma of wood, making one involuntarily immerse oneself in it.

Xu Zimo's eyes immediately lit up.

He did prefer a more modern, light luxury style, but seeing such a Chinese style before him, he was genuinely moved.

Indeed, the ancestors knew how to enjoy life.

Standing inside, the exquisite garden scenery outside the window came into view. In the garden, there were rockeries, flowing water, winding paths leading to secluded spots, and in the pond, several lotus flowers stood gracefully, swaying gently in the breeze.

Occasionally, a few crisp bird calls broke the tranquility, adding a touch of vitality and life.

"The owner of this house put a lot of thought into it; every painting was carefully selected…"

Lu Jiaqi was still introducing the interior decoration, but Xu Zimo interrupted her, "What's his asking price?"

"65 million."

Lu Jiaqi uttered a figure that shocked the two elders.

In Xingcheng, housing prices were generally cheaper; such a price could even buy several detached villas in other developments.

The style could be invested in, but such a large area was not available elsewhere.

The first impression this villa gave was… a prominent family's residence.

It had status!

"This price has actually fallen from 72 million; it might fall further after some time."

What Lu Jiaqi said was the current situation of the real estate market.

There were many sellers and few buyers.

Moreover, villas costing over half a hundred million were even harder to sell.

"You contact the owner and see how much we can get it for; I can… pay in full."

Xu Zimo had made his decision.

Hearing "pay in full," Lu Jiaqi's heart pounded a few times.

This was cash!

Many people might have assets of hundreds of millions or billions, but very few could actually produce so much cash.

Adding to the previous expenses, it was already a small fortune!

"Okay!"

Lu Jiaqi responded, then respectfully greeted the two elders before stepping out to make a phone call.
