10: Chapter 10 You bastard

Lin Ye was silent for a moment. He didn't beat around the bush and spoke directly in a serious tone: "I'm looking to borrow something from you."

The other end of the phone instantly fell silent. The next second, Wang Hu's voice became much more serious without a moment of hesitation:

"Spit it out. How many credit points do you need? Or do you need divine fluid? No matter what it is, I'll transfer it to you right now!"

Just as Wang Hu finished speaking on the other end of the line, a deep, majestic, and unquestionable middle-aged male voice suddenly cut in, overpowering Wang Hu's boisterous noise.

"Xiao Ye!"

The man's voice was resonant and powerful, carrying the natural oppressive aura of a True God expert. It was precisely Wang Hu's father, Wang Guo.

"Uncle Wang," Lin Ye called out softly.

Towards Wang Guo, Lin Ye had always held deep respect. This tough man was his father's life-and-death comrade-in-arms. After his parents died in battle, Wang Guo had silently taken care of him as he stood alone, acting as both a teacher and a father—strict in his discipline yet filled with deep affection.

"Stop talking nonsense with me, and stop wandering around outside," Wang Guo said in a firm tone, leaving no room for discussion. "Right now, immediately, at once, come to my house. If you are even a step late, see if I don't break your legs."

Hearing this, Lin Ye furrowed his brows with a trace of helplessness.

He knew this Uncle Wang's temper all too well; he always meant what he said and was straightforward and domineering. If he insisted on not going, this True God expert would really dare to discipline him by force, and he wouldn't even have the qualification to utter half a word of rebuttal.

"Understood."

Lin Ye didn't shirk. He simply hung up the phone, raised his hand to hail a hovering taxi, and gave the address of the Wang family villa.

The car steadily shuttled through the bustling streets of Cangnan City. Ten minutes later, it parked in front of a majestic, elegant detached villa nestled against the mountains and by the water.

The carved iron gate was wide open. Lin Ye pushed the door open and walked into the living room, immediately seeing the family of three waiting there.

There was Wang Guo, with his upright posture and an aura of iron-blooded ferocity; Liu Yun, gentle, poised, and tender-browed; and Wang Hu, looking aggrieved as he scratched his ears and cheeks.

The moment Liu Yun saw Lin Ye, her eyes instantly turned red. She hurried forward, looking at the slender youth with heartache, her tone full of pity: "Good child, you've been wronged. Don't take those outside rumors to heart."

Looking at Lin Ye's lonely and aloof appearance, she felt too heartbroken to say any extra words. She reached out to gently pat his shoulder, comforting him softly.

Wang Hu, standing to the side, couldn't hold back any longer. He strode forward and heavily punched Lin Ye in the chest. His strength was restrained; it looked fierce but was actually gentle.

"You guy! You have things happen and don't know how to speak up? You just had to carry it all by yourself?" Wang Hu pouted, his tone irritable yet hiding genuine concern. His comical look diluted the oppressive atmosphere quite a bit.

Wang Guo stood in place, his expression solemn and stern. Without any superfluous pleasantries or empty words of comfort, he directly waved his hand, neatly arranging four spiritually glowing items on the clean coffee table.

"Prepared for you. Take them all, no need to return them."

Lin Ye's gaze fell upon the items, a slight ripple stirring in the depths of his eyes.

The first was an entirely dark-red vassal card, its patterns intertwined with a faint aura of blood.

[Grade C Vassal Card: Blood-Fiend Serpent]

[Special Effect: Naturally adapts to polluted environments, capable of slightly resisting the erosion of fiendish aura.]

The second was grayish-white throughout, wreathed in gloomy energy.

[Grade E Vassal Card: Corrupted Fox]

[Special Effect: Its figure is bizarre, but its combat power is low. Its reproduction speed is extremely fast, and it can adapt to harsh environments.]

The third was a transparent card glowing with a light golden luster, carrying a heavy aura of rules.

[Three-Year Divine Kingdom Time Acceleration Card]

[Compatible with all grades of divine kingdoms, no side effects, constant resource consumption]

The fourth was an exquisite miniature black building model, with a cold and hard metallic texture.

[Grade C Building: Carnivore Processing Plant]

[Effect: Automatically processes flesh monsters, transforming them into exclusive rations for fierce beasts, which can slightly enhance the physical strength of vassals.]

The last one was a bank card, which showed a balance of 200 million divine faith points.

Among these five items, every single one precisely hit the resources that Lin Ye's divine kingdom was currently most lacking.

Liu Yun added softly from the side: "Your Uncle Wang knows your stubborn nature and that you wouldn't easily ask others for help. We prepared these things for you in advance, and they are all things you currently lack. Just accept them."

"As for that Blood-Fiend Serpent and Corrupted Fox, we don't know whether they can adapt to your divine kingdom's environment. Let's just treat this as an experiment!"

"If they can adapt, that couldn't be better. If they really can't adapt, we'll have your Uncle Wang find you more later!"

Wang Guo spoke in a deep voice, his tone softening slightly: "Take all these things and use them first. If you lack anything, just tell me directly. I don't ask for you to achieve great things in the future; I only ask that you live safely. Your father saved me countless times back then, so I must protect his descendants well."

Wang Hu immediately chimed in from the side, boasting carelessly: "See that? My dad is just hard-mouthed with a soft heart!"

"Try out these vassal cards first. Our dad had to pull a lot of strings to get them for you!"

"Right, let me tell you about my divine domain. My divine kingdom's area is a full seventy-eight square kilometers, and my initial vassals are Grade B Blazing Flame Apes, numbering two hundred in total! Their combat power is definitely top-tier among newcomers! If anyone dares to bully you in the future, I will directly command the Blazing Flame Apes to demolish their divine kingdom!"

Wang Hu's tone was arrogant, but his expression was sincere, directly stating that he would always be Lin Ye's most solid backing.

Looking at the sincere expressions of the family of three before him, a warm current surged into the depths of Lin Ye's aloof heart. He nodded silently and gently, without showing any artificial modesty or declining.

He knew that in this law-of-the-jungle Source Realm, this family was one of his few warm vulnerabilities as well as his toughest armor.

"Thank you, Uncle Wang, Aunt Liu, and silly Hu."

"Cut the crap!" Wang Hu rolled his eyes, looking disgusted.

Wang Guo waved his hand, his tone carrying an unrejectable firmness: "Don't go back to your old house recently; live right here."

The Wang family's residence was located in a high-end district in the city center, a luxurious 300-square-meter flat.

This house was a property specially purchased a few years ago after Wang Guo successfully ascended to a True God, returned from an expedition in another world, and captured a large number of rare treasures.

The interior decoration was simple yet grand, with various high-tier defensive arrays and rare ornaments visible everywhere, its foundation far exceeding that of ordinary wealthy families.

As early as the year Lin Ye's parents sacrificed themselves, Wang Guo had specially reserved a south-facing exclusive bedroom for Lin Ye in his home. Quilts and daily necessities were prepared year-round and regularly replaced. However, Lin Ye's personality was stubborn and sensitive, so he rarely came over to live, choosing instead to guard the old house and refusing to move.

Hearing Wang Guo's arrangement, Lin Ye's fingertips curled slightly, and a rare look of embarrassment appeared on his face. He gently scratched the back of his neck and gave an awkward smile: "Uncle Wang, I won't stay here. I plan to go to the black market to redeem the house I mortgaged."

That old house wasn't luxurious, but it was the original owner's parents' only remaining memory in this world, and the original owner's final spiritual sustenance. Even if it exhausted everything he had, he had to get it back.

"Mortgaged?"

Wang Guo's brows suddenly locked tightly together, and a murderous, iron-blooded aura instantly diffused from his body. The air in the room suddenly froze, and he abruptly let out a deep, furious roar: "Bastard!"
