21: Chapter 21 The Principal Appears

Ignoring the astonished looks of his surrounding classmates, he lowered his head humbly, trembling all over. Tears almost spilled from his eyes; not a trace remained of his previous arrogance and certainty.

The surrounding students listening to the lecture turned to look one after another. Sensing something amiss, their eyes darted back and forth between the three of them, and a tense, stifling, strange atmosphere quietly filled the classroom.

At the same time, inside the Divine Realm monitoring control room beneath the teaching building.

A harsh red alarm blared suddenly, piercing red light flashing wildly, as a striking crimson alert popped up on the monitoring screen.

[Detected malicious forced invasion of a student's Divine Realm!]

[Divine energy fluctuations are severely abnormal; risk of Divine Core shattering detected!]

The teacher on duty shot up from his seat, his face turning deathly pale, pupils shrinking sharply.

Within the academy, unauthorized Divine Realm battles and malicious invasions of another's Divine Realm were severe violations. If an accident occurred resulting in a shattered Divine Core or a crippled student, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Not daring to delay for a second, he didn't even have time to push his chair back as he sprinted wildly toward the principal's office. His footsteps were rushed and heavy, and he roared as he ran:

"Principal! Disaster! Disaster has struck! Something terrible happened! A student maliciously invaded a Divine Realm, and the divine energy fluctuations are about to spiral out of control!"

Inside the classroom, the slaughter was still ongoing.

On the Miasma Wasteland, the remaining Minotaur Orcs had all fallen in pools of blood, their bones crushed and flesh mangled, with not a single survivor.

Stepping over corpses strewn everywhere, the Marrow-Eating Demon Hounds surged along the reversed spatial passage, boldly charging into Lu Ren's barren yellow-earth Divine Realm, dark miasma pressing down so heavily that the entire world shook violently.

Lin Ye lowered his gaze, glancing at the utterly pathetic Lu Ren who was clutching tightly to his arm, the corners of his lips curling into a bone-chilling, cold smile.

"Those who seek to kill shall themselves be killed!"

Right at this moment, a thunderous shout came from the classroom doorway, the sound causing the doors and windows to buzz softly.

"Stop!!"

The newcomer was tall and built, dressed in a black formal suit with a majestic demeanor. His body faintly radiated the oppressive aura of a high-tier Divine Lord—it was none other than the principal of Cangnan City's First Divine Realm Academy.

The principal strode quickly into the classroom, his sharp eyes locking onto Lin Ye, and raised his hand, preparing to use his authority to forcibly intervene.

Everyone's eyes instantly focused on Lin Ye, the surrounding air seeming to freeze.

Facing the principal's scolding, Lin Ye's pitch-black eyes showed not the slightest ripple, hesitating for less than a hundredth of a second in his mind.

No hesitation, no holding back.

He parted his thin lips, indifferently uttering the final command:

"Shatter the Divine Core."

Wham—!

Several Marrow-Eating Demon Hounds charged out simultaneously, their sharp fangs engulfed in surging miasma as they bit brutally into the rough, yellowish-brown Divine Realm Core.

Crack!!

A crisp yet piercing sound of shattering penetrated space, clearly echoing through every corner of the classroom.

The dim and dull Divine Core was instantly covered in spiderweb-like cracks, exploding violently in the next second and turning into a sky full of tiny specks of light that dispersed into the air.

[Notification: Enemy Divine Realm Core destroyed.]

[Notification: Forced link disconnected.]

Almost at the exact moment the Divine Core shattered, a vast and boundless golden power suddenly enveloped the entire classroom—the principal had stepped in after all.

Invisible divine power roughly tore through the void, forcefully severing the lingering divine sense link between the two and isolating all Divine Realm fluctuations.

But in the end, it was too late.

Lu Ren's Divine Realm Core was completely shattered, beyond any possibility of restoration.

The moment he lost the support of his Divine Core, Lu Ren's entire body stiffened violently. His face turned pale as paper in an instant, pupils unfocused, as his body slumped weakly beside his desk with fine flecks of bloody foam constantly leaking from his mouth.

He stared blankly at the ceiling, his eyes hollow and devoid of light, having completely degenerated into a crippled person without a Divine Realm.

In the back row of the classroom, the smile on Ye Feng's face froze completely. The gloomy, cold aura around him suddenly went out of control, his knuckles clenched so tightly that his nails dug deep into his palms, drawing blood.

Despite all his calculations, he had never imagined that Lin Ye could counterattack, shatter Lu Ren's Divine Realm Core, and dare to shatter Lu Ren's Divine Core right in front of the principal without a moment's hesitation.

This man was chillingly ruthless.

The golden divine power slowly receded. The principal's expression was as dark as water, his aura weighing down heavily upon Lin Ye. His majestic gaze locked dead onto the calmly seated youth as his booming, angry shout resounded throughout the entire classroom.

"Lin Ye! How dare you!"

"Publicly forcing an invasion into a classmate's Divine Realm inside the school and intentionally shattering another's Divine Realm Core—do you know this is a severe crime?!"

The principal's footsteps landed heavily, every step carrying the oppressive pressure of a High True God. The surrounding air grew heavy and stagnant, and the whole class held their breath, no one daring to utter a sound.

Everyone knew that maliciously destroying a fellow student's Divine Core was an extremely severe violation under the law—punishable at best by lifetime imprisonment in a dungeon, and at worst by instant execution.

Facing the principal's thunderous scolding, Lin Ye kept his back straight as he sat in his seat. Without a trace of panic on his face, his expression was aloof and cool, his tone flat yet every word crystal clear:

"Principal, you are mistaken. No investigation, no right to speak!"

"What you should know is this: I didn't invade his Divine Realm—he took the initiative to invade mine."

He looked up and met the principal's gaze directly, his eyes clear and unruffled. "Self-defense shouldn't be a crime, right?"

A simple rhetorical question—neither humble nor arrogant, without the slightest plea for mercy or show of weakness.

The principal knitted his brows tightly, his expression not softening at all, as he shouted in a deep voice, "Self-defense? I know the rules of forced Divine Realm links! Even if he invaded first, repelling the intruder and severing the link would have sufficed. That is by no means an excuse for you to intentionally shatter someone else's Divine Realm Core!"

"As fellow students, to act so ruthlessly—do you still have any regard for rules in your heart?"

The surrounding classmates whispered amongst themselves, their eyes darting back and forth between Lin Ye and the twitching Lu Ren on the floor, their low chatter noisy and fragmented.

In the back row, the corners of Ye Feng's mouth quietly curled into a subtle sneer as he crossed his arms, quietly watching the show play out.

He was certain that the principal would severely punish Lin Ye. Even if he couldn't cripple Lin Ye, it would at least earn him a major disciplinary strike, leaving a permanent stain on his record.

Just when everyone thought Lin Ye had no words left to defend himself, Lin Ye parted his thin lips, his tone carrying a hint of faint sarcasm.

"Rules?! Then when he invaded the Divine Realm of an F-rank trash god like me, was he abiding by the rules?!"

"And when he wanted to completely shatter my Divine Realm Core, where were the rules then?!"

He slowly turned his head, his gaze intentionally or unintentionally sweeping past Ye Feng in the back row. His tone was mocking, and though his voice wasn't loud, it echoed clearly across the entire classroom:

"Who doesn't know that I'm just an F-rank trash god despised by everyone."

"Today is truly strange—there's actually a god even trashier than me, willing to risk everything to launch a sneak attack on my ruined wasteland."

These words seemed like self-mockery on the surface, but were actually a covert jab, his eyes bluntly locking onto Ye Feng with obvious implication.

Ye Feng's face instantly stiffened, a flash of cold malice flickering deep in his eyes. He understood Lin Ye's implication—the person behind Lu Ren was none other than him.

The principal's expression froze slightly, rendered momentarily speechless.

Right at this moment, a crisp, pleasant, and clear female voice suddenly rang out, shattering the stifling atmosphere of the classroom.
