5: Chapter 5 Awakening Physique

After listening to his Revered Master Jiang Changge's words, Lu Jinghan was somewhat incredulous.

In his past life, he had only heard of the Time Sacred Body and Space Sacred Body, as well as many other Sacred Bodies and Spirit Bodies, but he had never heard of the term "Dao Body."

"That's right!"

Jiang Changge nodded, his tone indifferent.

"You possess the Space-Time Dao Body, giving you an Innate and powerful control over time and space. If you cultivate it to Major Achievement and Perfection, you will grasp the Great Dao of Time and Space and achieve the position of Dao Lord."

"Unfortunately, the Great Dao is hidden and Laws are scarce in the Xuanhuang World, making it impossible for you to awaken the Space-Time Dao Body."

He paused, looking at Lu Jinghan's information on the panel, and explained slowly.

"The reason you were able to be reborn was that when you faced a life-and-death crisis, you triggered the Space-Time Origin within your body."

"Coupled with the fact that you triggered the Reincarnation Stone fragment on your person while on the verge of death, the collision of two supreme Laws resulted in the current you."

Hearing his Revered Master's explanation, Lu Jinghan came to a sudden realization. "So that's how it is."

Then, Lu Jinghan bowed respectfully toward Jiang Changge. "Please instruct me, Revered Master. How can I repair my Origin and awaken the Dao Body?"

Grasping the Great Dao of Time and Space and achieving the position of Dao Lord ignited a spark in his heart.

In his past life, when his Realm reached the Peak of Undergoing Tribulation, he had only one goal—to undergo tribulation and achieve Ascension to become an immortal.

However, he had never obtained the Opportunity and was unable to undergo tribulation and ascend for a long time.

Now that he possessed the Space-Time Dao Body, he had immense potential. Perhaps the position of Dao Lord was still far off, but becoming an immortal was likely no longer out of reach.

Moreover, his Revered Master was a Red Dust Immortal! He must surely possess a method for Immortal Ascension.

Jiang Changge took out a Medicinal Pill that radiated supreme Dao Rhyme and glowed with rosy light.

"This is a heaven mending pill. It can repair any incomplete Physique and is perfect for Awakening your Space-Time Dao Body."

"But the process of repairing your Origin and Awakening the Dao Body will be extremely painful. Can you endure it?"

Jiang Changge held the heaven mending pill in his hand, looking at Lu Jinghan as he spoke seriously.

The heaven mending pill—on the day of its completion, it stirred celestial phenomena, with rosy light and auspicious Qi covering three thousand miles. It was a Saint Pill that had been lost since the Primordial Era.

Rumor had it that this pill could change one's fate against the heavens, make up for all Innate deficiencies, and repair any damaged Dao Foundation or Physique.

At this moment, this pill carrying supreme Dao Rhyme lay quietly in Lu Jinghan's palm, its halo swirling.

It was as if Dao runes were appearing and vanishing on its surface, and the aura it emitted caused subtle ripples in the surrounding time and space.

Pain?

A faint curve appeared at the corner of Lu Jinghan's mouth.

In his past life, he rose from insignificance, experienced countless killing tribulations, and braved forbidden lands and death zones all for a slim Opportunity for a Breakthrough.

He once endured the bone-eroding Yin balefulness at the bottom of the Nine Nether Cold Pond for a hundred years; to temper his Sword Intent, he even took the initiative to draw heavenly thunder for Body Tempering, nearly causing his Divine Soul to be shattered.

He was long accustomed to the pain of the Physical Body and the torment of the Divine Soul.

Compared to the despair of being unable to awaken a Physique, being stuck at Undergoing Tribulation, and ultimately falling in sorrow, what was a mere bit of pain?

He lifted his robes, knelt on both knees, and kowtowed deeply.

"Your Disciple is willing to endure it. Even if my body and soul are shattered and my Dao Foundation is incinerated, I will have no regrets."

His voice was calm, yet it carried a determination that cut off all paths of retreat.

A trace of imperceptible approval flickered in Jiang Changge's eyes.

This Disciple of his indeed had a Heart-Nature as solid as a rock.

What had to be endured to repair the Origin and awaken the Dao Body was far beyond what the word "pain" could describe.

It was a process where the power of the Space-Time Origin tore, reshaped, and completely fused with the Divine Soul within the body; the slightest mistake would result in the total destruction of both body and soul.

"In that case, consume it here." Jiang Changge flicked his sleeve.

Jiang Changge handed over the heaven mending pill.

"Guard your spiritual terrace and visualize time and space as a ring, without beginning or end. Remember, no matter what, do not give up control of your consciousness."

Lu Jinghan took the heaven mending pill; the pill felt warm in his hand, yet it was as heavy as a mountain.

Without hesitation, he put it into his mouth.

The Medicinal Pill melted upon entry, turning into two indescribably majestic torrents.

One appeared as a chaotic silver glow, carrying a Concept of eternal passage and the decay of all things.

The other appeared as a deep, dark color, containing the mysteries of void folding and dimensional disorder.

It was precisely the Origin power of time and space!

These two forces, like two enraged Primordial Ferocious Dragons, crashed into Lu Jinghan's limbs, bones, and the Eight Extraordinary Meridians!

"Ugh—!"

Lu Jinghan let out a muffled groan, his body trembling violently.

Countless fine blood streaks instantly cracked open on the surface of his skin. Before the blood could even seep out, it was either evaporated by the power of time or swallowed into tiny fissures by the power of space.

His bones made a tooth-aching creaking sound, sometimes as fragile as if weathered by ten thousand years of time, and sometimes as indestructible as space compressed to its limit.

Even more terrifying was the impact on his Divine Soul.

Fragmented illusions of the past, present, and future surged frantically, with countless possible versions of "himself" roaring, whispering, and laughing wildly.

His sense of direction—up, down, and all around, from ancient times to the present—was completely confused. He felt as if he existed in countless spaces simultaneously.

Intense pain!

Agony beyond all limits erupted from every detail of his Physical Body to his Divine Soul.

Blood began to seep from Lu Jinghan's seven orifices. His body sometimes became transparent and illusory, and sometimes solid as iron.

The surrounding space twisted and folded continuously, time sped up and slowed down erratically, and the scenes were bizarre and grotesque.

"Guard your spiritual terrace! Visualize time and space as a ring!"

Jiang Changge's calm voice pierced through the layers of illusions and pain, ringing directly in the depths of Lu Jinghan's Sea of Consciousness like a stabilizing pillar.

Lu Jinghan had long since gritted his teeth to the point of breaking. His Divine Soul held onto a single point of clarity amidst the stormy waves.

Gradually, amidst the boundless Chaos and pain, a faint insight belonging to him began to sprout.

He saw the two rampaging ferocious dragons within his body—their conflict, intertwining, annihilation, and Rebirth.

They faintly conformed to some deep rhythm; it was the Dao Rhyme of time and space being one, two sides of the same coin!

The medicinal power of the heaven mending pill truly dissolved at this moment. The gentle yet vast life Origin and fragments of the Great Dao fused into his flesh, blood, and Divine Soul, beginning to repair everything violently torn by the Space-Time Origin.

And in a mysterious way, it prompted the Origin power of time and space to undergo the deepest Fusion with his own life mark and the essence of his Divine Soul.

Repair and destruction, Fusion and repulsion—these occurred millions of times in every instant.

Lu Jinghan's body became the most tragic yet glorious battlefield.

His aura was sometimes as weak as a candle in the wind, and sometimes erupted as powerfully as the birth of the Universe.

Silver and dark light flickered alternately on his body's surface, gradually tending toward a chaotic gray, as if it contained all colors yet swallowed all light.

Time passed bit by bit.

After an unknown amount of time, the violent conflict within Lu Jinghan's body finally began to weaken.

The two Origin forces no longer rampaged but began to flow and blend slowly within his body along some mysterious trajectory.

Lu Jinghan's shattered body healed rapidly under the remaining medicinal power of the heaven mending pill. His new flesh, bones, Meridians, and even his Divine Soul were branded with faint space-time patterns.
