7: Chapter 7 The Dao of Time and Space

Chen Huang, Dao Lord's figure gradually faded, merging back into the ancient tree behind him and the long river beneath his feet, as if he had never moved.

Only the still slightly turbulent River of Time and Space bore witness to the failed assassination attempt that had just crossed endless dimensions.

At this moment, Lu Jinghan had completely shut out all external distractions and sat quietly within the pavilion.

His state of mind was as calm as an ancient well; the ripples caused by the earlier Awakening of the Space-Time Dao Body had long since subsided.

Only one thing lingered in his mind: ever since his Physique awakened, the ancient Cultivation Technique bestowed by his Revered Master had developed an indescribable pull on him.

It felt as if it were connected to his Bloodline, calling out to him to explore the true meaning of the Great Dao within.

He took out the technique, intending to peruse it carefully, but the old and worn manual suddenly transformed into a beam of light and plunged straight into his Sea of Consciousness between his brows.

In the beginning, there was derivation; Chaos is not empty.

The beginning of the beginningless, the end of the endless.

A single breath forms a tribulation; a speck of dust, the firmament.

A thought moves the universe; the Dao pierces the void rainbow.

These few opening words were like a morning bell striking his spiritual terrace, instantly illuminating the fog of confusion and making his mind perfectly clear.

Lu Jinghan was shaken to his core, feeling that the profundity of this method far exceeded the so-called Heaven Rank techniques of this world. Could it truly be an Immortal art?

The technique was titled the "Time-Space Derivation Sutra," divided into three volumes, and was a supreme method created specifically for the Space-Time Dao Body.

Currently, he could only comprehend the first volume, yet the principles recorded and the techniques described within already subverted his understanding of cultivation from his previous life at every turn.

After observing it silently for just a moment, many of the cultivation questions that had been difficult and stagnant in the past were suddenly resolved with ease.

Furthermore, many powerful Divine Abilities that resonated with the Time-Space Origin were hidden within, as if they were tailor-made for him.

He focused his mind and followed the method of the first volume—Observing the Manifestations of Time and Space, Deriving the Nine Consciousnesses—and slowly channeled the Time-Space Dao Origin within his body.

The power of the Origin was like a newly surging stream, flowing through his Meridians in a full cycle, passing through apertures and penetrating his entire skeleton. With every inch it moved, it became more solid and thick.

After circulating it for only a moment, the blood and Qi throughout his body surged like a rushing river, and Spiritual Qi steamed like rosy clouds, as if a long-held shackle had shattered.

With just the initial stage of cultivation, its momentum and effectiveness were already a hundred times greater than the techniques he had practiced in his previous life!

Lu Jinghan slowly opened his eyes, shock and wild joy intertwined in his gaze as he sighed softly.

"As expected of a method bestowed by an Immortal; it truly lives up to its name. This Time-Space Derivation Sutra is undoubtedly an Immortal art!"

Afterward, Lu Jinghan immersed himself in this Immortal art.

Three months passed in the blink of an eye.

Inside the pavilion, Lu Jinghan slowly opened his eyes from his meditative state.

The Spiritual Qi around him flowed smoothly and harmoniously, more condensed and pure than it had been three months ago, moving without the slightest hindrance.

Inspecting his Dantian, a profound rune floated quietly, with the power of time and space faintly circulating within it.

This was the sign of having achieved basic mastery of the Time-Space Derivation Sutra.

He stood up to stretch his limbs, and his joints let out a series of crisp pops, as if he had broken free from invisible restraints. He felt light and refreshed throughout his entire body.

The heaviness and shackles of his previous life, where he had failed to awaken his Physique, had now been completely shattered.

Coupled with the mystery of the Time-Space Derivation Sutra, his cultivation progress could be described as advancing by leaps and bounds.

At this moment, Lu Jinghan's Realm had stabilized at Golden Core Perfection, only one step away from a Breakthrough to Nascent Soul.

"By my count, there are still six months until the Southern Wilderness Great Family Ranking Battle," he thought silently.

Major events and key moments that had occurred in the Southern Wilderness in his past life surfaced in his mind.

"Since this life has brought me back to a hundred thousand years ago, I will never allow those tragedies to happen again."

His gaze deepened, a flicker of determination passing through his eyes.

"Xiao Chuan, Xiao Guang, I look forward to meeting you both again."

Lu Jinghan's gaze instinctively turned toward the north.

Located there was the Zhouwu Dynasty, one of the three great Imperial Dynasties of the Southern Wilderness, and also the place where he first met Qin Muchuan and Su Fuguang.

In his previous life, he had emerged from a small village.

Through a chance encounter, he arrived at the capital of the Zhouwu Dynasty. While the various great families were recruiting fighters, he became acquainted with Qin Muchuan of the Qin Family and Su Fuguang of the Su Family.

Subsequently, the three of them began to shine brilliantly in the Great Family Competition.

As his memories continued to surge, Lu Jinghan's brow gradually furrowed, and a clear look of disgust rose in his eyes.

In the month following the conclusion of the Southern Wilderness Great Family Ranking Battle, the Purple Bamboo Forest, one of the ten great treasure lands, would open.

It was in that Secret Realm shrouded in purple mist that he first met Xiao Yuan and Bai Yue.

From then on, the five of them became companions, their footprints spanning the five regions of the Xuanhuang World...

But those once seemingly sincere friendships and years of traveling together, when thought of now, left only irony and piercing pain.

"The time remaining is enough to carefully practice the Divine Abilities and Dao methods within the Time-Space Derivation Sutra."

His mind returning to peace, Lu Jinghan focused his inner vision. Within his Sea of Consciousness, the Time-Space Derivation Sutra, which had already transformed into hundreds of millions of golden ancient characters, slowly circulated.

He was originally a Sword Cultivator, and the Derivation Sutra happened to contain several sets of sword techniques.

And the only one his current Realm could touch upon was a volume of the Time Mark Sword Art.

This art was divided into three forms: the first form, Late Twilight; the second form, Tracing Light; and the third form, A Moment in the Floating World.

Amidst the flickering golden light, the Sword Intent was like the flowing of years, as if time itself had taken shape.

"In three months, let's see to what level I can Cultivate this first form, Late Twilight."

As his whisper faded, Lu Jinghan had already closed his eyes in meditation.

Having attained Rebirth and encountered such an Opportunity, how could he allow for even the slightest slackening?

Compared to Lu Jinghan, who had been cultivating hard for these three months, Jiang Changge, as the Revered Master, was as leisurely as ever in the Kunlun Hall.

Because the Creation Sutra he practiced was very peculiar; it did not require his active cultivation. It could operate the technique autonomously, increasing his cultivation at all times.

Therefore, except for the first few months after he first transmigrated where there were traces of hard work, he had been in a state of 'lying flat' ever since.

During these three months, Jiang Changge occasionally used his Divine Thought to observe Lu Jinghan. Seeing that he was always cultivating hard, his heart was filled with gratification.

[Ding! Daily check-in complete. Obtained: instant transmission array disk!]

[instant transmission array disk: After activation, it can instantly teleport you to any location you have previously marked!]

"Hmm?"

"This reward is quite nice!"

Jiang Changge's eyebrows rose slightly, and a hint of interest flickered in his eyes.

Although his previous check-in rewards had included many teleportation Talismans, most of them had distance limitations.

The instant transmission array disk, however, did not have this shortcoming.

This way, he could feel at ease traveling down the mountain.

Even if he encountered those old monsters at the Peak of Undergoing Tribulation, he could return safely to Kunlun in a single thought.

Now, within Kunlun, he was an invincible existence.

Thinking of this, Jiang Changge gave Elder Ling Xu a few instructions and then left the Kunlun Sect.

Shortly after, Jiang Changge's figure flew out of the Ten Thousand Mountains, heading toward the nearest city.

Jiang Changge traveled on the wind, his robes fluttering, looking like a banished Immortal.

He deliberately concealed his aura, not wanting to be ostentatious.

Although a cultivation at the Mahayana Middle Stage was already considered top-tier in this world, and he had the instant transmission array disk to return to Kunlun instantly.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, he still chose to hide his aura.
