Zyren was still naked, but he made no effort to cover himself. Aria, on the other hand, hurriedly grabbed the piece of cloth she had intended to use to dry her body and used it to cover herself, even as she fixed her gaze on him.He stood silently by the door, his eyes unwavering on her, even as Aria spoke.

"We need to dress up..." she told him, stating a fact he had suddenly decided to ignore, even as she stepped closer to where he stood. Zyren only nodded once before reaching to pull open the door for her to walk through.

"After you," he told her, his voice smooth.

Aria hesitated for just the briefest moment before she walked past him. But barely had her legs crossed the threshold out of the bathroom and into the room when she felt a firm hand snake slowly around her waist, pulling her backward against the hard planes of his body.

"King Zyren!" she gasped, feeling the wetness and coolness of his skin press against her own warm flesh. He drew her closer until their bodies were pressed flush together, his hold unyielding.

"You promised!" she reminded him, confusion mixing with the heat that rushed to her face as she felt his throbbing member pressed between her buttocks. He continued to grind his hips forward, each motion slow, deliberate, making his goal painfully clear.

"Yes," Zyren whispered into her ear, his lips brushing against her earlobe as his voice grew low, rough, yet sensual.

"I promised not to do it in the tub," he murmured, his tongue gliding over the shell of her ear before his lips trailed down to the side of her neck.

Aria instantly tried to pull away, pushing against his chest, but she might as well have been struggling against an immovable tree. His grip tightened around her waist, his strength absolute, her squirming only making her more aware of the solid heat of his body pressing insistently into her.

"Is this all you think about?" she demanded, frustration lacing her voice even as she felt him slowly begin to push himself between her thighs.

He didn’t respond—not with words. His lips curved faintly, a small, almost satisfied smile flickering at the edge of his mouth before he thrust into her in one swift motion. Whatever else she wanted to say was swallowed by a sharp gasp as the air rushed out of her lungs.

Pleasure struck her in one overwhelming wave, her knees weakening as he began to move, his rhythm measured but intense, his hands gripping her tightly as he drove into her.

I refuse to believe he lets his guard down during sex, she thought weakly, her fingers gripping the table for balance as he continued. For all I know, this could just be another one of his ploys.

But her thoughts began to unravel entirely as his hands roamed over her chest, his touch both possessive and intoxicating. He turned her head toward him and kissed her fiercely, claiming her mouth while thrusting harder, forcing her back until she leaned over the table for support.

Aria tried to keep her moans quiet, but it was impossible. Each movement drew another helpless sound from her lips as Zyren deliberately pushed her closer and closer to the edge. His pace quickened, his grip unrelenting, his kisses rough and consuming as he bit and nibbled along her skin.

She came again and again, trembling beneath him, barely able to think. When she finally felt him shudder behind her, his breath sharp and low, relief flooded through her.

The confidence in his tone made her heart skip. Fear followed right after, tightening her chest—until she reminded herself it was impossible.

Rymora made sure of it—and I saw her take the pill too, she thought, her mind quickly clearing enough to decide she would take another dose, just to be absolutely certain.

Zyren continued to thrust shallowly, almost as if trying to push his seed deeper inside her before he finally stopped. He leaned forward and kissed her hard—hard enough to leave her lips swollen—before slowly pulling out of her.

Aria barely had time to recover before she felt something soft press between her legs. Startled, she looked down and saw that Zyren had placed a towel there, his expression calm, almost practical.

"You don’t have enough time to use the bathroom," he said simply, turning away as he began to dress himself.

Aria stood there, still catching her breath, glaring at him even as he crossed the room. Her glare only deepened when she watched him open her wardrobe, his movements deliberate as he examined her clothing. Finally, he pulled out a light red dress she had never seen before.

"This is good," he said approvingly, holding it up for her to see.

Her heart gave a small jolt when he reached in again and pulled something else out—something that made her gasp.

For a fleeting second, she thought it was a collar.

But as he held it up, she exhaled shakily, realizing it was only a belt.

Zyren noticed her reaction immediately, a sly glint appearing in his eyes. He smiled faintly, that same unreadable look playing on his face as if he enjoyed her moment of panic.

And as she stood there, still glaring at him, Aria realized the belt wasn’t much different from the jewel-studded collar he had once forced her to wear—except this time, he didn’t have to say a word to remind her who truly held control.
